^ agreed, but the absence of Alonso is central to our problems. Creativity has been poor since he left. our two midfielders lucas and mascherano cannot get goals.

Of all the praises to Gerrard by fellow footballers ,fans and managers alike,he is rarely praised as a mighty midfielder, rather, he is recognised for other qualities.

so ur points are not really valuable, they are not new. a lot of people already knew he is best not playing in the midfield.

and he is still a great footballer. he has just been woeful all season.

thats why I hate monday night games, we rarely win games on Monday nights. a lot of our worst performances have been on monday nights.

^^ those are just knee-jerk reactions. it is hard for any liverpool fan to criticise Gerrard that way. If he murks Man Utd next week , those fans will be back behind him.

of course its true Gerrard has been poor all season.

i can agree with that. Zidane was more direct and purposeful. but I still give it to Ronaldinho.

I think he belongs up there with Maradona.
