Biakwa,

Yes! Visa officers goes through CV's once attached with applicant application, as it provides clarity to the visa officer on her expertise, but stating she has an MBA (certificate not yet collected) won't be a reason for a refusal. It pose to be a problem only if she is going for an MBA program in Canada. If not, I don't see any problem here.
You can as well acquire this MBA certificate and send it directly to CIC via email and it will be quickly attached with her ongoing processing application.

All the best!
Good morning Frank,

Can I proceed with Express Entry process while my wife student visa is still in process?
Is there consequence if I embark on it, even at long run?

Expecting your response as usual.

Good evening great mind,

I have a big issue that needs to be tackle now.
We have exactly what we need to do to re-aply and we have submitted a week ago. But I noticed that she went and Old cv which carry her MBA program(certificate not even yet Collected) In her first application it was not mention in the CV. And was rejected on financial ground. Now we paid full tuition and funds available just she has went to use old cv that has MBA mentioned.

Please I want to get various comment on this. Does it pose a bad signal to her application. Do they even need Cv in this application?

Can we recall

Please Frank, juwon and other great people please comment

Doesn’t have to be. But since finances are what you are trying to tackle, I will suggest at least 10k in immediate exportable form. Including paying one year tuition.
OK jnyuwa02,

Well noted, and working toward getting everything ready for re-submission.. But there is something that came to mind, does the balance in my husband statement matter? As after settling all my bills his balance in statement will be below 100k although the treasury bills of 10m is there and his work is still intact as he can not be keeping money in the account without investing it.

Please help throw more light.

Thank you.

This is great!! Who taught you how to do this? Only be careful now of lump sum. Explain every lump sum in your account in your SOP or sponsor reference letter! Your refusal note talked about you not having funds for your dependents going to Canada. That is where I got the idea that maybe you going with your family. It looks like they had no problem with your home ties. Congrats in advance!! Paying one year fees after been refused based on insufficient funds, is a great stride to take. Open a dorm account and transfer 10k for first year living expenses. Order gcms before filing anything.
Thanks @jnyuwa02

Please is it a must to open domiciliary account as I have the money in my personal naira account

jnyuwa02:
Have you ordered your gcms notes? If you haven’t, please do because this would reveal more than the generic letter you received with the ticked prongs of denial. I am guessing you won’t even need to reapply, you will need to do a motion to reconsider. I am thinking you didn’t explain your financial standing well in the previous application. Why did you submit an account with no money in it? I am thinking the VO’s attention focused on that. Did you make it abundantly clear that your husband is your sponsor? Did your husband enclose an affidavit saying he would be your sponsor and how much he would be doling out yearly for support and when this treasury bills can be cashed? Did you enclose a SOP explaining all that? Order gcms notes. I am thinking all you have to do next after you get your gcms notes is ask them to reconsider the evidence that you already submitted which points to 14m in treasury bills and your own 2.5 in fixed deposit. Looks like those were overlooked.

Ps: if you are going with your family (depending on number), 14 million in treasury bills and 2.5 million in fixed deposit may not be enough. You will need to show more money.
Thanks @Jnyuwa,

In the first place no family member is accompanying or coming with me. Also we have planned on replying again but now my husband liquidated part of his treasury bills to pay all tuition fees (only one year program 15000+cad)and I have also liquidated my 2.5m fixed deposit into my account, I have now to the tune of 3.4m in my personal account as my husband will transfer 600k to me also for other expenses.. Currently my hubby should be having up-to 10m in treasury bill and some other things. I have two small kids too as my home ties. My current SOP is now detailed on how we fund the account,We got the rejection February and plan replying April what is your take please.....

Expecting your response please

Did you present enough money to take care of the listed? Was it beleivable? Are you been sponsored by a third party bearing little or no relationship to you? Anything could be a problem. Order Gcms notes which is pretty revelatory on the state of the mind of the VO. I look forward to your answers too to these questions.
Thanks for the response,

But my hubby is my sponsor and we only paid 2300cad for us to get my admission letter ,he presented his treasury bill worth over 14m,landed property, he works with a bank his reference letter too. The one year tuition fees is 15,000cad so we had like 13,000cad balance.I have fixed deposit of 2.5m in my personal account which we submitted too.But there was no money in my account. So what is the way forward please

I can look at your SOP. But understand this is a high privilege I do not grant as I am very busy with job and have little time to spare than answering questions here. I am just dishing advice based on another first class applicant that was denied and I met him. There are two schools of thought concerning it. There are people with RA and TA and scholarship full funding from Canadian school that CIC denied as “lacking sufficient funds to pay educational expenses without taking employment in Canada.” There are others too who scaled through with no problem having TA and RA and scholarship full funding. Depends on which VO is looking through your application I guess. Best wishes!
@jnyuwa02
Thanks for all your support, but how can one tackle below rejections base on your explanation.

“have sufficient and available financial resources, without taking employment in Canada,to pay tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue ”
“have sufficient and available financial resources, without taking employment in Canada,to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study ”
“have sufficient and available financial resources, without taking employment in Canada,to pay the cost of transporting yourself and any family members who are accompanying you to and from Canada ”

No. He doesnt have to reduce it. Let him submit everything: TB cert of 10m, SOA for the 100k & FD for the 150k. Let this be explained in his sponsorship letter and your SOP. Dont forget to include that he has paid your tuition and transferred your living expenses. He can also get a reference letter from the bank to show how much he earns per annum. You are good to go bro. Worry not about POF but a convincing story on the 1 year program (purpose of visit).

Best of luck.
Good day brother,

Please can I get some points as regards benefit of sponsoring my wife education abroad amidst all schools here in Nigeria. That is what I stand to gain as the husband.

He will need to show something that he does at the moment to rake in cash so he can take care of himself, his dependants (if he has any) and also be able to pay the tuition and living expenses of the second year (that's of its not a 1 year programme). The balance in his account doesn't have to be much if he has ways of making enough cash and he can prove it (job, business/investment. .....)
Thanks mcobex

He still working as a banker till date,4.5m annually. He has paid for the one year course. It is only one year course. He still have 9-10m TB. 2 little children still in nursery class. He has all the employment letters since 2009 till date.

Let your sponsor submit the TB certificate as well as his SOA that has 100k. Take note of your sponsor's dependents. That should be explained in his sponsorship letter and the amount he is willing to give you again for the remaining part of your study

Best of luck.
Thank you Slik,

But the program is one year and he has paid full payment for the tuition, now will it be better he reduces part of the TB into the sponsor account(like 2m into the sponsor account)

for the dependants two little children (3 years old and 1 year old)the 3 years also has 150k fixed deposit in her name

Biakwa, God bless you. Thanks for the compliments.
Good day Frank,

please I need some insight,

After paying the full tuition fees and making available up to N3.4m in the student personal naira account to take care of the accomodation/feeding/flight ticket as read in the rejection file.

My question is does the balance in the sponsor account still matter as the balance is reading like 100k.But note that the sponsor still has up to 10m worth treasury bill. What is risk in leaving the account like that or should the sponsor still terminate part of the treasury bill and like how much can the sponsor leave in his own account?

Awaiting your response.

Thank you.

Biakwa,

Pay up the applicant full tuition fees and transfer living expenses into the applicant domicilary account with this you have fully convinced the visa officer that her intent is strictly for studies.

And yes they might pick another reason after tackling insufficient funds, just make sure you put up an upright application. Don't be scared the applicant can't be refused for just TRAVEL HISTORY it's not done. Endeavour to add the Treasury bills certificate as stated. Her next application will be success.

All the best!
Well noted Franck!!

But i believe we actually submitted enough file/facts to the VO for the first application.
Please can what else do you think can be add up for the second submission,as the agent is still with most of the copies of the documents.Do you think the VO will not want to know why one application was rejected and if they have sort it out.
Now the issue that the VO raised for rejection, can one sight it in the current SOP/Sponsors letter as what has been treated/resolved with proof or we should be silent about it.Does it really matter?

Expecting your response.

Thanks for the swift respond,i really appreciate.

The arrangement now is to pay all the tuition fee for one year as advised.

My question now is the leaving expenses of about N3m, must it be in domiciliary account as this will paid into her personal account in Naira.Must she now go and open domiciliary account .Will it not raise an alert as it may be the first lodgment in the account. Can a Naira account be funded for this purpose in her name.

Good day ladies and gentlemen in the house,

Please am in need of some clearification and what to takle while re-applying.

My brother is the sponsor to the wife that submitted her file and just exactly one month they mailed her to come collect her passport.

Reasons for rejection are below.

X Pursuant to Section 219 of the immigration and refugee protection regulation,I am not satisfied that you:

X have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in canada,to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intend to pursue

X have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada,to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period of study.

X have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in canada,to pay the cost of transporting yourself and the family members who are accompanying you to and from canada.

Gurus the point here is she is the only one going and not with any member as they stated.

The husband works in a bank with income of 4.5m anually. But presented a Treasury bills certificate worth over 12m and a fixed deposit certificate of 2.5m in the wife name.

They had earlier paid cad2,300 out of cad15,500 of the tuition fees for the one year program that is all.

Can they pick up another reason after they must have re-apply as they were scared they may pick travel history as she has not traveled before, and they have two kids already.

The gurus i please expect your advice and way to follow up on this regard.
This is a good forum i must say.
