A barrel of crude is about 159 liters of crude.

Just dividing the $80 (N24,400) by 159 liters already gives a price of N153.4/liter without any processing.

So, by the time you factor in refining and transportation costs, THERE IS NO WAY the price will come as low as the 85/90 naira price PDP are claiming to reduce the price to.

But the unfortunate blockhead yoots won't see thru the lies but keep screaming Atikulooting.

The next thing that can reduce fuel price in Nigeria has already commenced. Hopefully on the completion of the Dangote refinery in Lagos. Fuel importation and price will reduce.

See funny set of people. Igbos will call yorubas northern slaves, but if they vote in Atiku. We might have another 8 years of the north plus the 4 years already taken by Buhari. Plus the 2 years of yar adua. . Then we go back to a yoruba president again because the yoruba people will say that Jonathan wasted the slot meant for the Igbos. . Then another yoruba president might run for 8 years again. Either democracy is not right for Nigeria or Nigeria is not right for democracy. Me sef just dey confused. People don't even care about credibility, only tribe. I was alive and active when Atiku was vice, so very sorry to say but I just can't vote for him. Its my choice and I have my reasons.

I really don't understand why folks are celebrating Atiku. Why are Nigerians like this? OBJ was a former military ruler, he still came back to rule us again. Buhari former Military ruler, he still came back to rule us again. Atiku, former Vice president for 8 years is still hungry for power. The same Atiku that was accused of transferring 40 million dollars and receiving kickbacks from companies like Siemens. The same people that were complaining about Buhari's age are now celebrating his age mate. The same Atiku of mikano. The worse part is that, we don't even know what to do about all these issues because the North has more states. The stromg guys that contested the PDP primaries were from APC. . This woman has said the truth, but I really don't know what we can do about it.

1. Lagos has one of the few, if not only, functioning sea ports. Which gives it an advantage in terms of importing. Most companies would want to establish Thier offices close to Thier source of raw materials.

2. More companies mean more jobs. So folks will definitely come here to look for jobs.

3. The higher the population, the more the market base and consumers for whatever product you want to sell.

4. More people mean more customers. More customers mean more buinesses will open and thrive. Hence, more tax payers and more money to developed the state.

Plus Lagos was once the capital of Nigeria. That too caused a lot of inward migration.

As for the lack of tribal bigotry, we are too busy hustling to have time for that. Plus Lagos is resident to a lot of Yoruba folks that have family members from both religions. I buy suya from Musa everyday and I buy legend at mama nkechi's bar. Do you think that I have time to be looking for an Igbo suya man or Hausa beer parlour.

It surprises me when some folks come here to say that its because of tinubu that ambode is facing all thsee issues. Really? Really? Do you people live in Lagos at all? Ambode dissapointed lagosians. Other than bus lay by and bus stops, what else did he achieve. What about hospitals? What about schools? The pot holes are terrible. He did not build or renovate any. Look at the level of filth. The huge pile of refuse I see everyday constantly reminds me of why not to ever support Ambode. He just kept cancelling good, working laid down processes just because he did not like his predecessors. He did not consider how it will affect his citizens. The traffic and the chaos is unbelievable. Before all this rancor began, I had already started campaigning against APC and ambode. Atleast now I know that I am not the only one that feels that way about the arrogant prick.

I can't count how many times they have stated in the news that they now have a 1000 or 2000 capacity truck park, that they have deployed 1000 officials from various agencies to that area. funny thing is that, all sanwo-olu has to do to counter thsee allegations is to state that the governor knew all of this and still retained him as a staff. That the fact that the incumbent has retained him for long shows a vote of confidence from the incumbent. He should just go ahead and state that he has no grouse with the incumbent. That he has served under him for more than 3 years, he has seen his lapses in governance and he is only here to correct his mistakes and improve on his achievements.

So many ridiculous falsehoods here, I don't even know where to start from. Fashola concentrated development and yet, it's Ambode that has not concentrated development, abi? Ask anybody that lives in any communities along the Amuwo-Odofin/Ojo/Badagry axis from Mile 2 down to Badagry if they knew a Lagos state government existed over Ambode' entire tenure. Particularly Fashola's projects that he abandoned to chase his own vanities commissioning bus stops everywhere around Lagos and a few flyovers. On some days, you'd be lucky to make it in 6 hours to Mile 2 from Agbara: a journey that shouldn't take up to an hour. We're talking only about the expressways, and let's not even start on the inner roads in the communities owned by the state.

Ambode's privatizations had nothing to do with efficiency and everything to do with venality and corruption. He has run a far more opaque government than Fashola before him and you can't even scrutinize the state's finances and his administration brazenly dismiss FOI requests. He sidelined powerful political interests in the state to empower a new set of powerful political interests beholden to him. Trying to claim he did this with altruistic intent is laughable when he continues to run an administration with zero accountability or transparency.

It's funny you're playing the "Ipob" card now with Ambode. The reality is Ambode has been held in suspicion by many Igbos in Lagos, but these Igbos dislike Tinubu even more, so suddenly, when Ambode falls out with Tinubu, they immediately hitch their wagons to Ambode and become big supporters. It's the same, old trick: embracing any Yoruba opposed to the Tinubu political machine (Fani Kayode, Fayose, Saraki, Adeleke etc) and pretending it has anything to do with substantive politics.

For the record, Tinubu is a cancer on Lagos politics, in my opinion. Just don't come here trying to whitewash Ambode's record as if we don't have eyes.

Nicely said. If you live along that Mile 2 to badagry axis. You would despise Ambode. Someone once said that those living in those areas need to be compensated. Just wait till they remove those trucks and you will see the filth that they have caused.

Ambode is an arrogant prick. That's why most folks despise him. I have experienced his arrogance first hand. He talks to his commissioners and subordinates anyhow. His arrogance led him to stop all fashola's projects because he wanted revenge for his humiliation from fash. Psp was working fine. He brought vision scam. He gave road constructions and repairs to his friends that had little or no experience in road constructions.

He should ask himself. Why folks despise him.

Chief. The guy that made that statement definitely does not live in Lagos. He just spewed bullcrap. How can any sane individual say that Ambode has surpassed Fashola. That is the height of ridiculousness. The current level of chaos in the state is terrible. Trucks everywhere, cars and bikes and napeps driving thru 1way with impunity, the streets are filthy, traffic is terrible, security is crap (I know like 6 colleagues that have experienced "one chance" robberies recently). Ambode has been commissioning bus stops and bus terminals. I was praising him about the inner roads he constructed and repaired, only for the rains to start and potholes...... sorry, I mean canals have resurfaced on roads that are barely a year old.

You should hear the complains on the radio. I pray that Ambode decamps to another party to try his luck and gets more disgrace. Even Ambode himself knows that he messed up.

Also, if you want to confirm his level of arrogance, just call one correct civil servant and ask.

I served in Sokoto. Back then, the teachers were earning about 25k monthly. It really did not matter because that amount was equivalent to 50k or 60k in Lagos. You could actually cook a lovely pot of soup for 250 naira. It goes beyond increasing the minimum wage. People will just increase the prices of commodities and we are back to square one. You have to improve the standard of living. With a good standard of living, you will be surprised that 40k will go a long way. I bet Mr sowore does not even have a plan on how he wants to deal with the senate and the house of reps thats full of rogues. Even if we have a saint for president, the senate can still frustrate your efforts. I am sorry, but this statement of 100k sounds like the usual gimmicks that our old polithiefcians use. They dont tell you haw they want to do it, they only promise to do it."Free education for all", "water and electricity.........." etc. Most folks dont even know how bad things are until they get there.
