Yeah right, Mr Trump is looking to dismantle USAiD meanwhile financially and politically supporting Israel.
What is terrorism…?? The use of violence or intimidation to cause fear among common people for political reasons isn’t it.

The unwarranted, unprovoked bombings, illegal invasions and occupations of parts of Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon and even Syria by Israeli forces causing the inhabitants of the said regions to flee for safety count as terrorism, do you agree with me on that…?? What’s the political reason…?? Achieving the Greater Israel objective

Speaking of Russia not issuing nuclear threats, pls see the below

Thanks for defining what terrorism his, I have stated in my previous comments, some Arab countries have been supporting, funding and harboring terrorist organizations, likewise the US government sponsoring terrorism covertly.
One of them attacked Israel on October 7th, An evil act that woke the sleeping lion; thanks to HAMAS, Israeli intelligence might not discover tunnels used for smuggling arms and ammunition into Israel for future attacks.
Whatever is happening to Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran today is a fact and testament of past reality that Israel is surrounded by enemies and they can never be trusted. Israel has learnt a lesson from the Six-Day War and Yom Kippur War, They cannot afford to lower there gaurd down.

Take away from the CDS's words: it's high time we start planning on how we erect fences on our porous borders. Like he said, the Sahel region is heating up on a daily basis. Entrenched insurgency driven by armed Islamist groups affiliated with al-Qaeda (JNIM) and the so-called Islamic State Sahel Province are attacking and taking over military formations and if this persists, Nigeria might be soon.

It's high time cattle ranches/grazing reserves should be established. The recent killings and attacks in Edo & Benue states between farmers and herders have become a recurring incident; the rate seems to be increasing in recent times. It appears the word FORGIVENESS is not in the dictionary of both parties; hence, the almost vicious cycle of attacks and counter- attacks

Bidexiii Whyyy…huh

“Thousands of years of deep connection between Jewish people and the land of Israel”…?? What evidence do we have to back up this claim other than biblical narrations. Even at that, the Israelites were said to have “migrated from Egypt to Canaan”. (Which in present day encompasses land from Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. (Greater Israel project rings a bell)).

Thousands of years of deep connection…?? I wonder why Jews in the 1930s were illegally migrating from Europe into Palestine in search of a place to call home.
By your logic, South Eastern Nigerians can enter into Bakassi in Cameroon and say, “we have a deep, historical connection to it, so it is our land”.

The link to the YouTube video you shared, the narrator made mention of a point that the word “Palestine” was coined by Greek historian Herodotus in 5 BC to refer to the Philistines that lived in present day Gaza region. Those Philistines are the original owners of the land before it was ruled over by Jews then Babylonians, Romans, Byzantine, Muslims, Crusaders, Ottomans then the British. So if present day nationals of these former empire decide to say that they have a right to Palestine because they are historically connected to it, does that make any sense…??
@Exnavyboy62 I should be asking you "Why now wink"

Good development. However, are we not over focusing on strike equipment? We already have our ATAK T129 gunships from Turkey not to mention our Mil 28 gunships, are these new ones not an over kill? Shouldn't we rather enhance our troop and logistics carrying capacity?
I am not sure that with our current chopper-borne troop carrying capacity we are able to deliver 250 well armed and supported troops by chopper anywhere in Nigeria now. This would have been critical for reinforcing our forward bases when under attack or cutting off and annihilating fleeing ISWAP forces and bandits.
In any case, buying any equipment from a major geopolitical power like the US comes with the risk of them telling you where you may or may not use their equipment!!
You've made a valid point here mate. I would say we are not over focusing on strike equipment, and there is nothing like overkill when dealing with terrorists, bandits, and other criminal syndicate.
We need to send a clear message.
You mean our Mi-35M gunships, not the Mil-28. Talking about the chopper-borne troop-carrying capacity, I think that should not be a priority for now given the current threat situation. Our ground fighting force needs all the adequate air cover they can get, both fixed-wing and rotary assets. For the Mil-28, we can get few for now for logistic roles, I think the NAF brass are just placing there priorities amongst scarce resources.

NAF AIRSTRIKES FOIL TERROR PLOT AHEAD OF EID IN BORNO

In a series of precision airstrikes conducted on 5 and 6 June 2025, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation HADIN KAI, decimated key Boko Haram hideouts at Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia in the Southern Tumbuns, Borno State. Acting on credible intelligence, NAF aircraft targeted terrorist structures reportedly used for storage and coordination, delivering direct hits and crippling planned attacks aimed at disrupting Eid celebrations. Battle Damage Assessments confirmed the neutralisation of several terrorists and the destruction of key logistics structures. This pre-emptive action underscores the Nigerian Air Force's commitment to safeguarding civilian lives and supporting national security objectives.

In Peter Drury’s Voice…

** And more, and more and more**

No breathing space for terrorists in Nigeria. Kudos to AFN for sustaining the offensive. I hope the federal government will prioritize fencing Nigeria’s borders even if it will require loans. If AES doesn’t want to collaborate to put an end to the issue of terrorism in the Sahel region, no qualms. Nigeria will do what it has to do to ensure security of the state and for the state.
I think the military problem is to keep sustaining this types of offensive, taking the fight to the enemy, the airforce carrying out more ISR missions, interdiction and timely ground support for surface troops.
I know this entails alot of funding from the government,

For the fencing thing, I don't see that happening soon and foe me it's not a solution ending cross border attacks from terrorist, they can easily blow up such gence and make way anywhere. We've seen this criminals blowing up power grids easily without been caught.

Again, NAF Jets Decimate Terrorist Enclave in Bukar Meram in Lake Chad

As part of ongoing efforts to sustain pressure on terrorist elements and deny them freedom of action, the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) has conducted another  successful air interdiction mission at a terrorist enclave in Bukar Meram, located in the southern axis of the Lake Chad region.

Zagazola Makama was reliably informed by sources that the mission, which was executed in the early hourz of Monday, June 9, at about 0545 hours, was carried out under the auspices of Operation KALACHEN WUTA II.

The sources said that the operation formed part of a broader strategy aimed at disrupting terrorist activities before, during, and after the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah period.

He said that intelligence-led surveillance revealed that the terrorists were regrouping at the Bukar Meram location with intent to launch coordinated attacks on Marte and Monguno general areas.

Prompted by this credible intelligence, the Air Component swiftly mobilised to engage the enclave. Airstrikes were conducted with precision, leading to the neutralisation of several terrorists.

The strikes also resulted in the destruction of critical terrorist logistics, including supply vehicles, makeshift shelters, and weapons storage points.

The decimation of the enclave not only inflicted significant losses on the terrorists but also disrupted their operational planning and movement.

The sources added that  Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) conducted after the mission confirmed that the planned attacks on Marte and Monguno were effectively thwarted.

Further intelligence gathering is ongoing to assess enemy reactions and possible movement patterns following the successful interdiction. Ground troops have also been placed on heightened alert to exploit the gains of the airstrike and maintain pressure on fleeing remnants.

Troops of the Nigerian Armed Forces have intensified their ongoing counterterrorism offensives across the North East, neutralising a top terrorist commander and recovering assorted weapons in multiple operations.

Zagazola Makama was reliably informed that the troops, in a special operation conducted at Ngazalgana village, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe, made contact with terrorists and neutralised Malam Jidda, identified as the Ameer (leader) of Ngorgore and Malumti villages.

The sources said the troops recovered weapons from the slain commander, including AK-47 rifles, magazines and a motorcycle used by the terrorists for mobility.

“In another operation on the Timbuktu Triangle axis, a snap ambush team deployed by troops engaged Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) elements in a swift and decisive encounter.

“Some of the terrorists were neutralised, while troops recovered additional AK-47 rifles and various categories of ordnance,” one of the sources said.

Similarly, in Abadam axis of northern Borno, troops conducting exploitation following a recent encounter in Mallamfatori continued to recover more bodies of terrorists and an assortment of abandoned weapons.

“The terrorists fled in disarray, leaving behind weapons of different calibres after the ferocious counterattack by the gallant troops,” the source added.

The ongoing operations are part of coordinated efforts by the Nigerian military to degrade terrorist enclaves and restore stability to affected communities across the North East.

When the Nigerian Air Force ordered the F-7NI in 2005, they were meant to be a stop gap, that was 20 years ago.

While the F-7NI recently completed deep Mid-life upgrades (MLU) in 2022, it's glory days are well behind us. The Nigerian ordered 3 x JF-17s to complement the F-7's and have now opted for 24 x M346FA to perform it's multi role functions.

This leaves us lacking in Air guard, Air Policing and Air Defence.

The Air Force recognizes their's an Air Defence gap to fill, for this reason they have now launched an Air Defence Tender competition.

Leonardo,Indra, Norinco, and Rheinmetall are participating, you can read more here.

https://www.military.africa/2025/06/four-companies-compete-for-nigerian-military-air-defence-and-radar-contract/

However this is for Ground Based Air Defence Systems.

It seems as though we will be stuck with the F-7NI & JF-17 for another 15 years at least.

The J-10CE has recently proven it's capabilities in combat and the program is 40 years old. A mature aircraft we can consider to replace the F-7 when the time finally arrives.
I just fell in love with this slayer grin

BRAZILIAN NAVY SHIP DEFENSORA VISITS NIGERIA

On Thursday 5 June 2025, Brazilian Navy Ship (BNS) DEFENSORA arrived Lagos, Nigeria, for a port call from 5 - 7 June 2025. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the bilateral relations between Nigeria and Brazil.

After the ship's arrival, the Commander of Task Group GUINEX V, Rear Admiral Antonio Braz along with officials from the Brazilian Consulate and the Defence Attaché paid a courtesy visit to the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral MG Oamen. The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to enhance maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea. Rear Admiral Braz emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation between the Nigerian and Brazilian navies, particularly in the areas of information sharing and operational collaboration. In his remarks, Rear Admiral Oamen welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Nigerian Navy's dedication to deepening cooperation in areas such as capacity building, training and joint maritime exercises to address maritime threats in the region.

Furthermore, on 6 June 2025, Western Naval Command participated in a joint training session aboard BNS DEFENSORA.
The exercise included a series of operational drills and knowledge-sharing activities, such as firefighting drills, a small arms exhibition and communication protocol training. The training aimed to strengthen interoperability, enhance crisis response capabilities and improve professional collaboration between the two navies.

Officers and crew members from the Western Naval Command were warmly welcomed by the ship’s Commanding Officer, Commander Almeida Matos and crew. Both sides engaged in practical demonstrations and exchanges, focusing on best practices in damage control and shipboard safety procedures. The visit of the BNS DEFENSORA and the joint exercise emphasize the growing relationships between Brazil and Nigeria, two Atlantic nations that share a common interest in maritime security and regional stability.
