Am not sure if all are air-worthy.

This is very wrong. The only thing that matters is operational reliability. How long and how many times can it go on a mission, come back, again and come back .
A this for minimal maintenance and lower cost over the life cycle. These are the important things. A UAV might be capable and break down 95% of the time or is difficult to operate or drops signal many times and becomes hard to control, this won't be acceptable. We lost CH3 UAV once and many could not be operated. Has China solved the problems with CH5?

I totally disagree with you on these two twins that most of the CH3 could not be operated and we lost one of them. I disagree with the fact that many of our CH3 UAV his non-operational.

We lost a CH3 at the height of BHT heat and at that time we just got them. Our UAV pilots where not properly trained and its a new hardware in our inventory; bokoharam had an upper hand at that time in bringing one down.

Secondly drones are high tech hardware, even the most advanced drones fail during operations , we've seen that in Iran, Syria and Iraq etc...

Even the Saudi Arabia was given license to produce the CH series was in 2017.

I remember a report by a people travelling along the route that bokoharam terrorists are gathering. Intel is messed up etc If bokoharam can attack any town within Maiduguri even tho they were defeated. It shows these guys still got nerves.

That's not entirely correct.

NAF Regiment in Gambia only provided security for aircrafts stationed in Senegal. None of them deployed to Gambia.

Navy SBS were deployed in a strategic role, all the Nigerian troops deployed for close protection were SBS.

Army were deployed in the streets along with the Senegalese and Ghanaians.

Note not all NAF personnel on Gambia soil where all SF.
There are other branch of the military present there .

Remember some of our military personnel where with shiny Ak's and some with Tavor X95 attached to secure some Gambia dignitaries.

I don't know if you see those pictures back then, those X95 where actually NAF QRF.

*COMMANDERS DECORATE 7 DIVISION TROOPS OF OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE AMIDST JOY*

It was a moment of joy as troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE within 7 Division Area of Responsibility that benefited from the benevolence of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, Special Promotion for soldiers who actively participated in Operation DEEP PUNCH II were decorated with their new ranks. The decoration of the troops was conducted by their Commanders in Bama, Chibok, Damboa, Dikwa, Gwoza, Konduga and Maiduguri respectively.

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf in his remarks during the decoration of troops at the Headquarters 7 Division, Maimalari Cantonment Maiduguri attributed the COAS gesture to recognition of troops valour and commitment to duty during the Operation DEEP PUNCH II which led to the successful demolition of the stronghold of Boko Haram terrorists in Sambisa Forest.

He thanked the COAS for his benevolence which he noted would spur the troops more in subsequent operations. He paid glowing tribute to soldiers who paid the supreme sacrifice during the Operation and charged those promoted to reciprocate the gesture of the COAS by rededicating themselves to the fight against terrorism in the North East.

It would be recalled that the COAS had earlier approved the release of special promotion for 3729 troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE who participated in Operation DEEP PUNCH II in Sambisa Forest in recognition of their heroic feat in routing Boko Haram terrorists from their hideouts in Sambisa Forest.

Saying same thing. I meant AFSF in respect to BHTs. The AFSF haven´t been deployed outside the northeast.

They are deployed to troubled central northern states.

It seems Nigeria is also buying Helicopters from the US. The story about excess AH-1 Super Cobra could be true.

President Trump just confirmed the US will be selling helicopters to Nigeria and they will be delivered soon.

Maybe he is mistaking it for the Tucano, but who knows?
