The kind of clothes/uniform they wear should be able to tell the army these people are coming enmasse. Humint should be able to do that I guess.
You don't get it bro, they can be easily marked but you can't engage them if they are mixed with civilian population.
Unless if they leave, that's the best time and condition to attack or take them.

Desperately waiting for the delivery of the tucanos. It will change a lot on ground.

Concerning the weapons expected from China, I doubt if reasonable quantities of the VT4, SH5 and ST1 were bought. Pakistan recently took delivery of over 40 VT4s. Only six were delivered to Nigeria, I'm sure if the quantity ordered was reasonable, more than 6 would have been delivered.
See guys I don't know where you guys are getting the numbers from but I know the NA would not be getting nothing less than 40 units of the MBT.
The six you guys are talking about where the first batch that where delivered.

NIGERIAN ARMY TROOPS NEUTRALIZE SCORES OF BANDITS IN FIERCE ENCOUNTER, RECOVER ARMS AND AMMUNITION

Troops of 8 Division Nigerian Army (NA), while on a fighting patrol, came under fire of bandits operating along Mayanchi-Dogo Karfe and Fagantama villages in Talata Marafa LGA of Zamfara State. In the fierce encounter that ensued, the bandits were overwhelmed by the superior firepower of the troops. This led to scores of bandits being neutralized. The troops also recovered one PKT riffle, large cache of ammunition, and a motorcycle.

Relatedly, troops have neutralized 5 bandits in another encounter at Bingi village, in Bungudu LGA of Zamfara. During the gun duel, the bandits withdrew in disarray having sustained severe gun shot wounds. The gallant troops recovered one AK 47 riffle, one Motorcycle and 3 mobile phones from the routed criminals.

While appreciating the combat resilience and renewed vigor of the troops, the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Faruk Yahaya urged them to sustain the aggressive posture in order to defeat all criminal elements operating in the North West and other parts of the country. He urged communities in the North West to support the troops with useful information at all times to enhance anti- banditry operations.

Even looking at the uniform of the SBS commando, you can see his trouser has inbuilt knee pads, same as the Green Beret, modern.

One thing that constantly keeps me incensed is the ability of these guys to move in large numbers with their al-shabab styled uniforms without any Intel on them. Somehow, there are people incapable of doing there jobs in the upper echelon of the army and that has been transferred to the people in the field. The army needs to up it's game on Intel and sitrep. What the eff!
Yeah.
That's why this type of war is a very difficult and defferent type of game. You can't attack or order a strike on them when they're have mingled with the civilian population in the community.
That's why we need those drones, monitor them and keep a close eye on them. Theyll later leave in tranches one after the other to meet at a particular choosen area. Then you can decide on how to prosecute them.

RETOOLING THE NIGERIAN NAVY FOR GREATER EFFICIENCY!

Do you know that Nigeria had Africa's most formidable warship, which was appropriately named NNS Aradu (Aradu is the Hausa word for thunder), but was left stagnant and inoperable for several years due to what naval authorities at that time described as lack of funding, uptill 2017 when the navy estimated that they will require about $250m to refit the warship for maritime operations. The present administration obliged that request and got the ship fixed and operational by the end of 2020, although in a new role as a combat training ship for Nigeria's new General-Purpose frigate acquired at the cost of $350m, which will soon arrive the country.

The NN it's on is way to glory !

Please where did all these rifles go to.
We don't see soldiers wield them anymore.
Thermal sights on the riffle.
I think it's the MOD that procured this riffles used by AFSF, since they where used by the MOD back then.
The NA is still the process of procuring the beryl riffle and the AFSF are not that actively in play in the North East.
