Because I was made to understand by my bankers that the PTA transaction is an instant thing, not something you finished the next day when you start it; because they have to conclude and give you the cash there and then! @ firstbank , I was told they had no pounds as at last wk that I should chill till this week |

Mubarak39: Hello everyone.
I want someone to shed more light on this pls.
I am going for Msc and I have made the first payment of tuition fees £7636 and i was issued a CAS. So far I still have to pay the remaining balance of £3817 by January. Now i have N2.5M in my account for my living expense ( I'm still counting for the 28 days) , and someone told me that I must put the N2.5M + £3817 (before printing out the bank statement) . If not my visa will be refused.
BTW my course start date is 21 sept, and final enrollment date is 5 oct.
I'm so worried and confused, pls how can go about this wow the rule is u should av the minimum living expenses plus the balance of ur tuition fee in acct for 28 days. I.e 7380 + 3817£ (dats 4 outside london). U need like upto 1.5m to add up going by the oanda rate |

thababe: Kai Gtbank is something else! Ive been trying to get my tuition and accomodation paid via Form A and they are just so disorganised. First they said accomodation could only be to the school ( i argued this out and they agreed to do it) ..next they said i should change something and then today ( after 10 working days) they said the admission letter i gave them was unacceptable ( email) and they need one on a letter head ( why didnt they just say so from the beginning). Also after going to look for form A myslef ( i had to go to CBN) they refused to give me PTA cus my visa had a 30 day validity. In anger i went to reactivate my fidelity acct and they said they will do the accomodation without any storys and give me my pta as well once i bring the letter showing my visas validity.. they also said that a one way ticket is fine. Gtbank should get their act together I did mine with firstbank but for the PTA, I was told I will be called when it's ready as they are waiting for further directives from cbn. Gtb and even uba always gives excuses. Upon that, Uba told me to write a letter of notification that I will be using mine mastercard outside the country. Dear, for the accomodation whose acct are they paying into? |

taolut: Thanks everyone for the advise, each and every one had made a valid point, I was just curious as this was what they did to my mum the first time she applied, I contested it and explained clearly to the embassy all their doubts and they called her few days after to bring her passport to collect her visa.
It's just so unfortunate they they prefer lies, well packaged application with lies than the genuine ones I mean if it's truly her intention to run away, she would have applied all these years, it's not like she just suddenly become my sister or that I have just moved here.
Her husband did put all his work papers, and letter. She included her employment letter, her nysc cert and all her kids birth cert to show ties to naija.
Maybe she waits to start her new job then re apply, but I still would fire them an email on Monday as I have a case to use where the tribunal states that it is not enough to refuse visa based on probability of not coming back, I also intend to ask them what source of income they expect someone who has just finished serving to have.
I would still give it my best shot as these people has almost turned naija application to business centres.
If I hear anything, I shall let everyone know.
Once again, many thanks for the contribution, I do appreciate they really..... I wondering ow many millions they make per day just from this. You should send a mail |

tinuosadeyi: I submitted my visa application yesterday. I got admitted into LSE for masters. when i got tls vi, i was told i didn't fill the self assessment form but i should go for my biometric and inform the person i had not filled the self assessment form. i did my biometric and was filling the form and a woman comes up to me asked me if i was applying for student visa, i replied yes i was. then, she goes you have to go for your interview or the link will close up. to be honest with you, i expected to see a physical person did not know it via video calling. was a bit nervous. it was a guy that interviewed me. he goes hello, replied hello. he asked for my name and date of birth which i gave. he asked why i chose the uk. i told him that the curriculum was similar to that of nigeria and i will be done in a year. why LSE? its a top school and having their name on my cv goes a long way. why that course? i said i wanted to be a Md of an investment bank or a management consultant and with the course i can achieve that dream. that the course gives a theoretical and practical aspect of the business world. i was a bit nervous and was trying to remember a word during the interview question. spoke about innovation and how the course teaches you of to make your org on the top of their game. was nervous then he asked about what uni i graduated from and year and month. what i did within the two years? told him i was in school for a professional course for a year. and he is like you graduated 2014/ IMd write a professional couse. the second year was to seeve my country in the NYSC programme. I'm nervous. mind you, i have more than enough funds. just worried. i chose a priority service because school resumes first week in september lol you really gave us the scene of what really transpired. Be positive, so far you have all the required documentation. You good to go |

Ademuyiz: No worries man. Well it depends on your budget tbh. are you looking for a shared house? or a one bedroom flat? There's an agency that does (quite luxurious, relatively neater) shared houses for affordable prices, they also have some 1 & 2 bedroom flats. their website is jnrproperties.co.uk.
You could also check rightmove.co.uk or zoopla.co.uk. thanks man. So what course and school are u going for now |

Kabosky1956: @bidosko...Did you apply at the Victoria Island centre? And was your date of application, the day you had your biometrics too? So sorry for the questions, as I am a bit anxious, I also applied online on the 4th of August, and went for biometrics & interview on the 6th of August. My application is still at Stage 3. Decision hasn't been made yet.
Hope my case isn't different oooo... Just a worried sister
Commenting on this wing of the forum for the 1st time and I must commend everyone for their helpful contributions. I applied @ ikeja, my interview date was on the 4th I mean. The letter that came together with my passport was dated 14th it means it took 10days. When I didn't get a reply from them, I had to send an email to ukvi to check the status of my app in which they replied (that was ystdy)b4 Tls later sent me a mail that decision as been made. Maximum 15days if u don't get a mail, you can contact ukvi directly to know the status of ur app |
