Solidex: If you were are intelligent enough, you would have known that, it is not the duty of a Dr. to cross match blood. Screening tests and other examinations needed to test the safety and compatibility of blood for human reception is a duty of the lab scientists and less often haematologist. The role of a Dr. in this scenario is to recommend transfusion of blood if the need be, and to receive it from the lab for onward delivery to the patient whenever it is ready. So, the problem is not always the Dr. There are many professionals that works hand in hand in the course of treating a patient.
Moreover, can you actually beat your chest or stick out your neck, that it was complications of transfusion that killed that patient? What if there were other complications of fibroid that could have killed her or other illnesses not related to fibroid. Medical practice has always been a noble profession either at home or over sea and Nigerian Doctors still remains one of the best amongst their likes. So, don't come here to tarnish the image of such a noble profession over a news that have not even verified enough. It will.be your turn next in Nigerian hospitals. Ans you won't survive the cultural negligence and laziness. Blacks!! |

They were transfusing blood they hadn't pre-tested and confirmed to match a patient they were probably going to charge millions? God save us from licensed quacks. Hezmatosky: It's only a fool that can boldly say that the country is ok the way it is right now If we don't get it right now, when will it be? Mind you, the protest is not focused on Tinubu, but the government of today. Nigerians are suffering if you don't know. A single father of over seventy years a Yoruba man and a security guard jokingly said to me this night that his tommy almost caught fire if not for the soft drink I bought for him. Looks like a joke, but bro, that's the real fact. This is just one in a million furtunate ones. Stop where you're right now and make a rethink. Is this the best a government can give it's people? Ask yourself, are we getting the best of lives from today's government? How long can we afford a derica of beans for 2000 naira? Business is going down, transportation is soaring high, house rents are there to pay, school fees and feeding. Yet the money is not there. Who's happy going to bed empty stomach? Who in Nigeria can boldly boast of three good meals per day? Take a work on the road and see hunger and angriness written on people's faces. How are we sure the president is aware of these? When people like you are busy deceiving yourselves. Please stop saying what you don't know for the sake of booking space All they know is ibo hausa and yoruba insults. Thr Nigerian ppl think everything is a joke and insults and that's why the corrupt government officials never takes them seriously. The world has moved ahead/on no one cares about anyone's ethnicity all enlightened ones care about is what ppl hv to offer. Then Nigerians think everything is a joke/meme. |

DTaj: Nigerians and inferiority complex!
Nigerians and self-deprecation!
I wonder why Nigerians frequently use the words "in a saner clime"? Are you insane, since your own country is a 'less sane' country or an 'insane clime' of a country?
Has any IG of Police, in this same country, ever met leaders of a planned protest ahead of the commencement date? Isn't it some progress that the IG had a meeting with them? Did the IG of Police in any African country where protests held engage protesters before the targeted dates?
Must you lowlifes curse your country at ALL times?
Ain't you cursing yourselves by cursing your own country?
Did you really expect to thrive in a country you use words like "Nigeria is finished", "Nigeria is gone", every time?
Did you expect your leaders to be saints in a country where sellers in the markets pad their weighs and measures?
Did you expect your leaders to be saints in a country where free food (clearly and boldly marked as "not for sale" ) is re-bagged and sold in the open market?
Every Nigerian should do his/her bit and seek the progress of the country. It is in our own best interest!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!! Nigerians exhibit general unseriousness - shaming works. If saying saner clime will allow nigerians sit up and feel ashamed then so be it. |

Wasky101: Petrol cost btwn $1 and 1.10 globally converted to N is 1700 at the moment. Meaning if you buy at 800 govt already pays subsidy of 900 per liter for you. If the president reverses the cost of Petrol to 300 now that means govt pays 1400 on your behalf. Questions is how many liters of Petrol do you use daily ? The average big man uses anywhere btwn 150k and 300k liters per week @150 liters the govt pays 190k on his behalf. Now put that side by side with yours. Whose war are you fighting ? You are misinformed. The West is not "globally". Oil producing countries like Saudi send their citizens to study abroad for free. Fuel does not cost $1 in Saudi. Another example - cocoa cannot cost "global price" in cocoa producing countries. If Nigerians are charged international (i.e, Western price) for cocoa powder, they will not be able to afford it. Same with fuel; those western countries can afford the $1. The economic demographic of both countries are not the same. |

sIfioksq: Hunger protests in Niger State? This is just another distraction from the real issues plaguing the country. When did protests ever solve hunger? Instead of burning tires and blocking roads, why not focus on finding real solutions? It's the same old story—people taking to the streets while the politicians sit back and laugh. If only they knew that their actions only give the government more excuses to crack down. The real fight should be against the corrupt systems that put them in this situation, not against each other. Protests won’t fill empty stomachs; they need to think smarter, not louder. This protest is the masses against the ruling cabal. Tinubu and his cabal must go. |

Niger, Mali and others like Burkina Faso made a big mistake in pushing out French military and American military. 70% of Mali by now would likely have been overtaken by different terrorist groups.
No wonder the terrorist jubilated when the the coup happened in Mali. The french backed president and French forces were giving them wotowoto.
As we can see, those terrorists are not Malians but ISIS terrorists from the middle east. The Mali coupists that took over power were absolutely clueless. Na France dey train and fund them. |

Properties › Re: Lagos Govt Revokes All Existing Building Permits by BigBashiru: 10:56pm On Jul 27, 2024 |
juliuscaesar: In a sane country, this can not happen. Cleaning of house should start with the employees of whatever organization is in charge of issuing the permits. After that, an audit needs to be done, to see those that were approved outside of the master plan. Then the government can contact the builders affected and have them reapply or stick the the original master plan. Canceling the permit of every builder is like punishing all drivers because a few were driving dangerously.
This is why I have not invested a dime back home. All my investment properties are here, in the US, where I know stuff like this can not happen.
The builders need to get a lawyer and sue the lagos state government. The average Nigerian lacks planning and those in government arent immune to this tendency. Policy somersault is due to lack of planning and knee jerk reactions. Secondly poor work ethic. The issue is that office failed to carry out random inspections of work sites. Finally the black man is easily bought with bribes and special favours. These 3 factors are a dangerous combination and makes it unwise to invest in Nigeria. |
