area74: Shame on you. So, vice presidency is now relevant? I thought it was only for errand boys because someone from the south west currently occupies it?
Now back to your matter, even if APC ticket goes to the north, south east will still not be considered because it is a strong base for the PDP. Picking a VP there will be irrelevant for APC because they will still lose. Trust me, if APC gives the north the ticket, the VP slot will definitely goes to the south south.
This may be hard for you to swallow, Kalu does not have strong influence in APC. He doesn't even have the full structure of APC in Abia state let alone the south east before talking about the whole of Nigeria.
Those who are serious about this journey are making clever moves and forging strategic alliances but someone is snapping pictures everywhere to deceive the gullible.
In 2019, he started from senate president, deputy senate and finally ended up with chief whip out of consideration for the south east.

It will be easier for ameachi to win APC ticket than kalu.it is not by doing meeting up and down.
1)The question is do you have political structure that spans from south to North?
2) Can you deliver your state and Region?
3)How many national assembly lawmakers can you influence?
4)Do you have existing political structure in the international community?
Only one politicians tick all these box in Nigeria. And his name is Tinubu.
He is the candidate to beat for 2023 if truly he has the ambition for presidency.

Coronabirus: OUK's assertion doesn't in any way reflect the perception of many Nairalanders, he's Politician & he knows how important & sensitive his statement is politically. Northerners won't contest for Presidency under APC come 2023 despite having constitutional right to vie for it but it's plain beyond any matter of doubt that North won't leave any chance unutilised when available. From my understanding of most Igbos body language about southern Presidency, it's better for power to be retained in the North than go to South-West, this is very unfortunate dirty game which north is capitalising on. For the growth & exposure of some people they need to stop blaming others for their confusion & mediocrity in Nigerian politics Greedy SW |

DexterousOne: You are still not getting the point
Using your own argument
Even brothers (Nigerians) quarrel and discriminate
That doesn't mean that the family system (Nigeria) should stop (or disintegrate)
A discussion among all Nigerians should be had to see how we can iron things out FIRST
If we tried and it did not work Then Those who ask for secession will be justified Hope you know that the north don't want such discussions or restructuring Since when I was small Gani Fawehinmi has been clamoring for such discussions but the north is always against it Jona even did one confab in 2014 but they are still against it I am in support of regional government inside one nigeria but if not let everybody go there way We are too different in everything, there is no meeting point at all for the type of system we are running now We have been together for 100 years and still struggling for unity. We should stop deceiving ourselves Restructure according to the independence constitution or disintegrate. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu's Interview In 1997: Setting The Records Straight - Ademola Oshodi by bigfish3k: 7:26pm On Aug 29, 2020 |
DexterousOne: This is not true
The tribalism and religion WILL NOT DISAPPEAR
It was on this nairaland I saw children of Anambra hurling insults at each other because of "zoning" of the governorship
It's in this Nigeria that within states, the supposed dominant ethnic group, or the one who happens to stumble on power maligns the other groups
Aka Ibom, Benue, Kogi and even Rivers states are examples There are others
It was orlu folks that were defending Okorocha despite his iberibeism
I met someone from abia state who is from the same area as that failure called Ikpeazu All that satisfied him was at least, at last Someone from his area is in office
The point I'm trying to make Is that the problem wont be solved just by drawing new lines and demarcation of the country
The underlying issues we have is wht is falling the country
I'm not one to be carried away by sentiments or hues and cry
I dissect the issues dispassionately All these are not excuse why we shouldn't go Even blood Brothers quarrel and discriminate and that hasn't been a reason why the family system should stop I still maintain that separation will solve 50%of our problems |
Politics › Re: Tinubu's Interview In 1997: Setting The Records Straight - Ademola Oshodi by bigfish3k: 11:22am On Aug 29, 2020 |
DexterousOne: That is the point I'm trying to make
It's not in the country being together or apart that Is the problem
It is the PEOPLE in the country that is the problem
And of course Misgovernance at all levels of government We are quick to blame the federal government But our states and local governments that are closer to us, and are most likely going to be of similar stock as us are also failing us woefully
Look at the disgrace we have in Abia state for example
My point is.... Breaking up or remaining together If the underlying issues are not dealt with It's still the same crap we are going to get
No thanks to Buhari misrule The country is now very much divided Division will solve half of the problems at least tribalism and religion will disappear |
Politics › Re: Tinubu's Interview In 1997: Setting The Records Straight - Ademola Oshodi by bigfish3k: 11:20am On Aug 29, 2020 |
DexterousOne: So after disintegrating
The problems that made Nigeria a shithole will just magically disappear? Yes it will be solved 50% Is it not because of tribalism and religion that we have quota system and incompetency every where and we keep on sliding down on various growth indices |

DexterousOne: It's very funny when people say that "make we divide Nigeria " make everybody go their way bla bla bla
The prevalent conditions that make the country a shithole today are still prevalent, and will make the breakaway countries even bigger shitholes if division does happen
Black men will NEVER get to the root of the matter, but instead will be chasing shadows and pointing fingers looking for who to blame Division will solve 50% of the problems at least tribalism and religion will reduce to its minimum Or eradicated |

My problem with Asiwaju is his overly corrupt manner but to talk in term of who fought for democracy one way or the other he did his bit and I respect him for that.
Sorry if I digress a bit listing the names of those who fought for democracy in thid country Asiwaju is among and the SW champion the it and they earned my respect alot but only my own people from SE name did not surfaced but want presidency by force by fire trying to eat where we did not sowed.
I'm not Tinubu fan in any way but pls I can not hide the truth and be deceiving myself just because I dont like him.
