meelee123: I can only imagine the joy APL will bring. Some of us need this job to take care of our aged parents and other family members, some of us are currently in debt, some of us can't remember when last we wore a new/good dress, some of us probably don't eat well, & some of us probably even have to borrow data from mtn to check nairaland. Things are difficult for many people and they just want a way out of all the struggles. I understand why some people are really anxious, hoping and praying for this APL. Dear God, you know all our needs without us even uttering them, please make it easy for us. This is the most sensible stuff I've read here in a loooonngggg time....that "borrowed data" part made me laugh sha |

[quote author=Grupo post=85036603]You have changed tone.
Earlier, you claimed Nigeria is the only country in the world that offers "free education." I countered it, now you are talking about population.
Okay, let's talk about population. Let's even assume Nigeria has 200m people. More than half of that population don't go to school because they are in the North. The remaining half, get crappy textiary education which you cannot compare to what you get in most other places.
Also, primary and secondary education is not free in most parts of Nigeria. And in places where it is free, people don't take advantage of it because it is low quality elementary education.
However, in places like the US and Canada, quality elementary education up to secondary school is free.
In European countries, you get quality education for free from primary to PhD level.
My argument: Nigeria is not the only country that offers subsidized "low quality" "MORE THAN HALF OF THE POPULATION DON'T GO TO SCHOOL BECAUSE THEY ARE IN THE NORTH" are u fucking serious?? Have u ever been up North ?? |

muhamm3d: Brother there is nothing worse than when you have d good job and money but you have lost the only woman that u have ever loved and has ever loved u. See, that feeling is killing. If your girl is ready to go through it with you but you have to be totally open to her, let her know ur finances and capacity, don't form and d major thing is that u are hustling and not sitting at home playing ludo and whot. If u are going out and hustling and she's supportive bruh don't ever in ur life lose her else regret will kill you. When u have money and a good job every girl would seem to love u but would u beat ur chest they won't run when things go south. Only that girl that went through hell with you will u beat ur chest that she will stay with you, that feeling alone is satisfying. If you must marry you can hold on with having kids cos kids are expensive but if both of you are getting old u can try with 1 and see how things go but don't forget keep hustling. That alone will keep her hopeful cos last last she's human and she has to see that u are trying to make progress in life no matter how little. But never lose the love of ur life. Celebs are depressed cos they can't find who truly loves them. Forget d online charade you see. Every girl wants to be with them but can they say it's true love. Reason with all d money and fame they hardly ever settle down. Its a terrible feeling trust me. It gets so bad some want to go back to their previous life before celeb status. He no easy trust me. My broda u are wise |

Biggerboi: Can you please explain to me how employing graduate trainees that are less than 28 years incure any damages to nnpc I know d Nigerian system is really bad that most ppl don't finish school early, but 28 years Is as reasonable as any of us can imagine, we should not allow emotions to becloud our judgement pls. |

jaiye4love: In your case study, you should remember that an appointment has already been made, and a faction take the other to court, and the court then grant a status quo. Its a lot different from an ongoing recruitment where no appointment has been made by any authority. Remember a public office can't be vacant until decisions are taken, but a company as an entity can even be shut down until decisions are taken to avoid further damages Can you please explain to me how employing graduate trainees that are less than 28 years incure any damages to nnpc |

number5:
1.The hungry and defeated lawyer started this long before interview, In the first week after opening of the portal for applications. So your thoughts concerning all of this, being a possible plot by Nnpc doesn't hold water, @xeforesansh
2. Shame on all those slamming 'sources', claiming that no one hinted on the court case, as it was mentioned here last week even with a link. I followed the link and had a very good laugh after reading the original thread and seeing guys who couldn't apply due to the age barrier, backing the lawyers ignorance.
See link to original first post about this on march 28th, it was shared here last week:
https://www.nairaland.com/5103150/2019-nnpc-recruitment-discriminatory-lawyer
3. Lol first, nawa ooh. Maintaining the 'status quo' has absolutely nothing to do with a possible release of APL or not. It simply means the age limit for GT's in the current or any future NNPC recruitment that will happen before 29 october 2019 remains 28yrs. If the current recruitment is concluded before 29th october and the NNPC board can provide evidence in court that it was not fastracked to beat the set date for the hearing, but has been planned all the while to be concluded before october 29, then the outcome of october 29th hearing has absolutely nothing to do with the concluded 2019 recruitment exercise. Simple protocol in law.
4. If you fault my ascertations above and can't express that constructively and/or display maturity in relayinpg your thoughts/findings, then with all due respect, I would give you a historical overview of exactly how/why you and that lawyer above are both not feeling fine. baba I have to admit u are my favourite personality on this thread...but honestly why all this negativity, why can't some ppl just shut up if they have nothing good to say, seriously there are some ppl on this thread that will be very happy if this recruitment is cancelled, but guess what...it won't, and we will be here to rub our apl on your hateful faces insha Allah |

82ndPerspective: Sorry CSmooth, I am not too Nairaland Savvy, so I had to use your quote to make a submission.
I Couldn't find a way to drop it without quoting someone (sorry).
1st time comment here: been monitoring the pages for long, but my moniker was my real name, so 2 wks ago I created the 82ndperspective.
Last week Tuesday I spoke with my contact in NNPC. His station is in PH. He was supposed to be one of the panelist, he was already in Abuja on the 3rd ahead of the 4th, but had to leave for his station to address an emergency that came up. He got replaced as a result of that development.
Meanwhile what he told me was that I should consider this whole delay a blessing. He said immediately after handover, a lot of names were smuggled into the list of successful candidates; usually it comes with some colletaral damage to the merit list.
When MKK used some trusted loyalists to appraise the process, names were discovered that didn't exist at the interview stage. This corroborates the story someone posted here sometime about 70 names being detected at first glance. So he said he was told that MKK ordered that each successful candidates emerging APL should be should be pinned against his scoreline and interview invitation letter showing that barcode (something he said about the barcode not to be easily manipulated).
Anyway, button line, he says that's the reason why it was delayed because all those verification prompted the temporary suspension.
Then came the political pressure which was given birth to due to the lopsided reality of the performance of the candidates. Between that and other factors, the matter is still in check, as at last week Tuesday. Wanted to deposit, but my new moniker wasn't allowed to make a submission till another week.
Reached out to him today, this photo was his response. Thanks bro |
