No amount of praise singing by hired writers can remove the fact that GEJ is visionless, clueless, planless, brainless and unfit to rule this nation. How can u tell me that a Phd holder like GEJ cannot make a simply flawless public speech. Its a shame. Did he buy his degreehuh

2nd Niger bridge is supposed to be linking Onitsha and most S/E regions with Asaba, and not the ones linking ijaw land with Akwa-ibom. The 1st Niger bridge is old and cannot even take the traffic between Onitsha and Asaba alone at peak hours talkless of other people coming from Awka,Enugu, Nsukka,Umuahia etc.
Anyone that builds bridges in forests of Bomadi and think it will be viable is only wasting his or her time. Those bridges you mentioned are just white elephant projects Obasanjo built for decoration. In economics, we all know that its demand that warrants supply and not the other way round!

Shameless couple. Shameless christ Embassy Church. Iam sure Christ Embassy is among the very very few churches that could have wedded them because the foundation of that church is based on glamour and not on Christ. No wonder they all perm their hairs and tactically overlook divorce and seperation in that social club that calls itself a church.

Mercy is a fool, and so are all these so called Nollywood Stars who like snatching other peoples husbands when there are a million single guys out there (Stars like Ini Edo should take note).
I mean, why did Mercy wait this long before calling it off, why didnt she back out before the issue became a public disgrace and embarassment for her. Why didnt she nip it in d bud by quitely investigating her guy even before all these became public. Am sure she chose to turn a blind eye hoping the guys legal wife will not raise alarm.
Nollywood is becoming a disgrace where these women date and snatch married men from their wives, they should all be careful. Infact, probably they all need a spiritual cleansing becos u may not even tell what is causing the recent deaths thats befalling various Nollywood stars.

Why should a pastor own one jet talkess of four? Business class no reach him? Do you know it costs the church more to own a jet than to fly private jet each time dey travel?
You no know say the owner gat to pay fuel (e no cheap for plane o),
each time you land at an airport you pay airport tax, so each time dey fly to an airport they pay to FAAN or the regulating govt body
Maintenance of such craft nkor?

These are costs that the airlines will take of if they fly first class rather than owning one, wayo wayo pastors

keep dey feel for there. u jus dey act gullible dey dull urself more and more
Shame on you too "igbo boy". You are not talking like a real igbo boy. I do not attend Winners Chapel but I ask again, what do you mean by a Pastor ought not to own one jet talkless of 4 jets. Are u still living in the 17th century? So tell me igbo boy, who ought to own 4 jetshuh those theiving politians or the senators that do nothing but shout aai or nay in the chambers? i mean is it a taboo for the children of the Lord to enjoy the blessings of wealth and comfort. Remember, seek you first the Kingdom of the Lord all all shall be added unto you. And besides as i said, i feel those jets belong to the church Winners Chapel and not to Oyedepo personnaly. The more we christians renew our mind the better for us. Muslims are there pumping cash into Sharia bank and all we do here is to critisize churches and pastors. Two days ago i read in Punch newspapers that Covenant University is among the 100 best universities in Africa and the best private University in Nigeria, shouldnt christians be proud of this rather than tearing people down. msshwwww!!!

Today its Bishop Oyedepo is so rich that he is competing with Dangote, tomorrow its Bishop Oyedepo is so poor that he is selling of his jets. Why cant people sit down and do investigative journalism before sending stories to the press or to Nairaland. It seems we have nothing better to do or to discuss than trying to talk about Bishop Oyedepo, and even when there is nothing to talk about people invent a topic on him just for the sake of discussion and to keep d ball rolling. mshwwwwww!!!

RCCG Update: Pastor Adeboye Hurriedly Makes Peace With Akindayomi Children; Family Denounces Petition Against The GO

To avert further negative publicity over a petition written by a member of the Akindayomi family, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Monday rushed back to Nigeria from the United Kingdom to hold an emergency meeting with the family of the Reverend Akindayomi, founder of the church.

The closed door session was arranged to put out the fire generated by a petition published on SaharaReporters which was written by a member of the family. In the petition which was circulated to several zonal coordinators of the RCCG across the globe, Oluwakojo accused the RCCG leader of lack of transparency and complete deviation from the principles and vision of the founder of the late Pa. Josiah Akindayomi.

Oluwakojo, a grandson of Pa. Akindayomi, has refused to back down from his position, he reportedly refused all entreaties to withdraw his petition from circulation before it was eventually sent to SaharaReporters.

In a rejoinder sent to SaharaReporters today, Pastor Mrs Titi Akindayomi-Adewale, one of the daughters of Pa Akindayomi, stated that the family has been “very satisfied” with the running of RCCG since the death of their father 30 years ago. She also affirmed that in the last 30 years, the family has received “substantial financial support” from RCCG and that the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Pa Akindayomi have been beneficiaries of that support.

With reference to the touchy subject of transparency, the rejoinder said, “We believe that the running of the church is left to the discretion of whoever God has appointed as the General Overseer of His Church. We trust Daddy G.O and we know that whatever decision he makes is as led by God.

Hence, we do not need to have an idea of RCCG accounts or any decision making processes regarding any building work, major or even minor project. The Akindayomi family doesn’t feel any disrespect because the church doesn’t report to us.”

Five of the Akindayomis, including Mrs. Titi Akindayomi-Adewale, who lives in New York and reportedly joined the meeting by speakerphone, met with Pastor Adeboye yesterday.

A family source told SaharaReporters that the "peace meeting" was called to put an end to all the bickering and all the complaints surrounding the way the church is being run. He noted, however, that the meeting last night was only a temporary truce as long as all members of the Akindayomi family are not brought together to resolve their difference over the matter.

Pa. Akindayomi founded RCCG, popularly referred to as “Redeemed,” after he left a white garment church. Prior to founding the church, he was a polygamist. The family crisis reportedly stems from that background as the founder was said to have ditched one of his wives quietly when he became a born again Christian.

Today’s rejoinder did not end without mentioning the petitioner by name. “Contrary to Abiodun Olukowajo’s opinion, the Akindayomi’s family knows that God led late Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi to appoint Pastor Adeboye after him to be the General Overseer of RCCG for life,”

Dismissing the call for the church to be involved in choosing its GO, the rejoinder said he has the “divine right as directed by God” to choose his successor.

“We do not believe, and as a matter of fact, it is not in the original word God gave Papa to elect the General Overseer by ballot or election. We trust, believe and in submission to the authority God has set over us and not democracy.”

However, a member of RCCG in New York told Saharareporters that Pastor Titi frequently expresses concern the abandonment of the family and this source pointed us to the pastor's Facebook page where she made an entry on July 14, 2009 to the effect that, “Someone's sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”. This source disclosed to our correspondent that Pastor Titi's entry was an indirect reference to the fact that Pastor Adeboye was basking in the glory whose foundation was made by her father.

Shame on you. Everybody knows that every Aboki goes around with a dagger hidden in his kaftan and is ready to waste human life at d slightest chance. I believe this is not an ordinary armed robbery attack, these are bandits and cold blooded killers, most likely boko haram. In maiduguri they have been robbing banks and killing police men and market women, burning churches at will. They have taken this slaughter to the next level by hitting the highways.
Until jonathan can stand up against elements like Sanusi, boko haram, mallam ciroma etc, the country may continue witnessing these endless bloodshed.

This is definately boko haram out to kill southerners in a different way. which armed robber will tell 50, i mean 50 guys to lie in the middle of d road for nothing. even d one that happened 2 years ago that d picture surfaced in d internet is not as horrific as this. Boko Haram knows that if they openely throw bombs in Oshodi or Onitsha dat the south will retaliate. so i suspect that armed banditry is now their next jihad option. until jonathan learns to combat likes of sanusi, boko haram, mallam ciroma etc, its bloodshed that will keep happening in dis silly entity called nigeria.

If the church can buy a private jet for Daddy GO and build a castle for the Adeboye family inside redeemed camp then atleast the welfare of the kids and children of the late founder should be of some concern to Adeboye. Afterall, it wont cost him anything to do that unless he is sidelining them delibrate for some reason no one knows. Like its said, its a chop alone attitude thats bringing all this problem. Pls this should be settled amicably.
Christianity Etc › Re: We Have No Grudges Against Adeboye - Children Of Founder by Biggie9: 7:51am On Aug 03, 2011
Forget that stuff, Daddy GO must have promised them a good share of the church dividends for them to pipe down. Come to think of it, its morally unfair for Daddy GO to be cruising around in a private jet bought by the church while the kids and the children of the late founder are left with no one caring for them. This chop alone attitude kills and distroys trust. Adeboye should do the needy by ensuring that he keeps them close and carries them along becos it will actually cost him or RCCG nothing to ensure they are fine.

Well, as long as the GO and family benefit from the church one way or the other, the founder's family need to enjoy some benefits too. I don't want to be quick to judge anybody but i suggest this be settled amicably because if they go to court of law, a lot will be exposed.
Nigerians are the most hypocritical people in the world, God this, God that, by the grace of God, Insha Allah e.t.c we still remain the most corrupt nation, utter disregard for ourselves, not only the Govt. most of us individually are not honest including our pastors and imams. Spare me all the 'annointed men of God" bullshit, church is business so Mr Adeboye should be fair to the founding family if he's not.
Nice talk. But church is not suposed to be a business though it profits. Your main point above is that if the so called Daddy GO and his immediate family cruises around in a private jet and has mansions like Aso Rock in the camp, he should extend little of this dividend to the children of the visioner and late founder of the church. This kind of chop alone attitude is what kills most Nigerians and distroys trust.

Iam not an RCCG member but i think Adeboye suprises me by his actions on this. Why cant and why shouldnt he ensure that the church takes care of the children of d late church founder. It'll not cost him or d church anything to do dat unless dis neglect is done purposely by Adeboye. Giving d Akindayomi family a sense of belonging is d least he can do for them afterall he Adeboye cruises in a private jet bought by d church, has a palace as big as Buckhingham Palace in Redeemed camp built for him by the church n has fleets of exotic cars. What is good for d goose is good for the gander. The children n kids of Akindayomi should also reap a little from d vision of their late father unless Adeboye has a hidden agenda yet unknown. MAYBE IF ADEBOYE HAD CHANGED RCCGs name to something like God's Mission International Church 20 or 30 years back this wouldn't have come up.I m sure if adeboye had started his church 30 years back he wud have been no less successful.God is the one who blesses.Akindayomi's family shud be appeased if they feel cheated but that doesn't mean they shud have a say in RCCG without servin. This is God's business and they shud know that even if anyone mismanages money meant for the Lord, such a person will be judged. They shud not be the Judge
What a comment above. Why shouldnt the Akindayomi family have atleast a little say in RCCG where they are the founding family. I dont attend RCCG but another blogger b4 now said that they (Akindayomis) are pastors and remain dedicated worshippers in the church. Adeboye should plsssss for Gods sake ensure that their welfare is attended to and give them a little sense of belonging too. Afterall he Adeboye cruises in a private jet bought by the church. This kind of news even leaking out is embarassing. It doesnt cost Adeboye or RCCG anything to ensure the welfare of of their founders children unless he Adeboye is doing this purposely!

RCCG is a registered charity or not-for-profit. It is therefore unheard of that the children and grand children of the founder of RCCG want the organization to be accountable to them. It is like saying that the descendants of the founder of the International Red Cross should control and eat from the organization. An incorporated organization is by law distinct from its founders and is a legal entity / person

The only thing I can support is if the late Pa Akindayomi has a surviving widow, then the church should support her till she dies. The kids and grand kids are already pastors in RCCG  so what more do they want.  Pastor Adeboye's kids cannot take over from him when he passes on. The church will continue to be run by someone else. The leadership of a church is not something to be toyed. The Celestial Church of Christ is an example!
If RCCG is registered charity, then it seems this charity only begins and ends in Adeboyes home, with a private jet ,fleet of exotic cars and a 7 in one masion inside Redeemed camp. It will be very unwise for Adeboye to restrict the fruits or benefit of RCCG to his home alone while neglecting that of the founder. Its things like this that make other pastors want to hand over the church to their wife or kids. Adeboye should in the name of good conscience ensure that the founders family at least partake little in what he is enjoying. This will cost him nothing,. End of story.

Thats right, reading between the lines, i feel Adeboye ought to make sure that the widow of the founder is taken care of, and if possible, even the children. Its the least Adeboye can do for them. Afterall he Adeboye cruises around in a private jet with a fleet of cars and a house in Redeemed camp thats as big as Buckingham palace. Its morally wrong to sideline and ignore little things like the personal upkeep of the direct children of the church founder. I forsee a break up of RCCG if Adeboye does not handle this wisely and i pray he does.

I dont attend RCCG but from what i can pinpoint from the above,i feel Adeboye ought to atleast have made sure that the welfare of the Akindayomi family is taken care of, and he should give them a good sense of belonging. But its like they were sidelined, accidentaly or delibrately. Adeboyes' new house in the Redeemed camp is as big as Buckingham palace and he (Adeboye) cruises around in a private jet. His first son has the biggest mens' boutique in West Africa (Wisemen Apparel).
All these will ofcourse make the Akindayomi family raise alarm if Adeboye doesnt atleast make sure he carries them along or make them reap some financial fruit of their late father who is the founder of RCCG. we all are human beings and are bound to have an atom of fleshy feelings in us so this ought to be resolved immediately.

Anyway, no wonder too that he got just 4 % of xtian votes in the 2011 elections.
