shigishege: I don't owe you any explanation or talk. If we want to be real let everyone decide for themselves. If it's not secession let there be regionalism. The cheating is to much. The one sided favouritism is too much. If we want to be real that BIAFRA is well arranged, I'm not talking about IPOB/ESN oo Who is cheating the EAST? Do you know that, it's only the South East that contribute ZERO to the Economy? Yet, they collect Billions from FG at the end of every month.

Politics › Re: Tribalism Our Major Problem In Nigeria. My Experience With A Client by Bighead9: 4:40pm On Oct 14, 2021 |
SouthMustBeFree: This country will continue to experience deep mess if we don't over grow to an extent this thing called tribalism and religion. Honestly, both are causing us deep pain but many are yet to realize it.
I had a terrible experience with a male client yesterday, (tribe withheld) but for those who can guess where it happened best of luck.
So I am big time into real estate, and I had this bungalow someone gave to me to sell. I have been marketing this property for the past 2 weeks, of course people have been showing interest and inspections happening so fast and almost daily as usual but price has kept the property in the market thus far.
Just yesterday my phone rang and it was a colleague who was bringing a client to come check the property. I hurriedly left my station to the location of the property. Then the client arrived and we exchanged pleasantry. Long story short he inspected the property and seemed cool with the location and structure.
Then I noticed he spoke to me in his dialect and I responded in English, I saw the surprise all over his face like wtf. Then right there he asked me, are you not bla bla bla (his tribe) and I said no and he said, you mean my kingsman gave you a stranger his property to market? And I said yes and he walked straight to his car and drove off with my colleague that was the last I heard from him.
Then I called my colleague to ask about the client and he told me he was not happy seeing a stranger selling the property in their land and that he seemed not interested anymore. I was shocked to my bone marrow.
I have been left in shock since yesterday. How can a man in his middle 50s act in that manner as exposed as he seemed because mere looking at him and hearing him speak you will know he is an alite. He can't be placed in the class of low lives.
I have been left wondering if such rooted sentiment is deeply sitting in this man then where is this one Nigeria we talk about and preach? It also means that this man can not hand over his valuable to someone from another tribe to sell, it must be someone from his own tribe.
Well, just this morning I received a letter of offer from another buyer who had earlier inspected and by Gods grace my market go soon sell.
Tribalism is evil, let's do away with it before it consumes us. We were first humans before tribe. The man na İGBO

Oracle26: Security information has it that 80 % of the planning of the attack on the correctional facility in Owerri, carried out early this year, was done and carried out by criminals from Agwa Izombe axis of the state. Most of the prisoners who escaped from the correctional centre consequently returned to the area and constituted themselves into a security nuisance. Therafter, there were repeated attacks on police stations in the area. Many police men were killed and their arms taken away in the process. In the last last seven months, there were three attacks on police stations in the area. The last was on August 14th and three Ak 47 rifles were carted away, with ammunition.
Against this background, Soldiers received a distress call on friday that criminals were harassing the area and that one of them was with an AK 47 rifle. The closest military patrol around there went in immediately to arrest the situation from potential escalation. It was learnt later that the man who had the Ak 47 was one chinonso Ihezue, alias Obele, an escapee from the correctional centre. However, when the soldiers confronted the youths at the scene , Obele allegedly refused to hand over the rifle but tried instead to shoot the soldiers, who in return then gunned him down.
The youths consequently mobilised and attacked the soldiers, captured two of them ,stripped them of their uniforms and clubbed them to death. They abandoned their corpses and took away their Ak 47 rifles containing 120 live ammunition. The two soldiers who managed to escape called for reinforcement. The reinforcement came and started searching the area for the rifles. They saw military uniforms in some buildings and burnt some houses when they couldn't find those who clubbed their men to death. Incidentally, one of the soldiers killed comes from Mbaise in Imo state. He was posted from maiduguri, where he battled with Boko Haram insurgents for four years and half.
Because the Imo state government promptly intervened, the situation was quickly put under control. On Saturday the State police commissioner,on the orders of the Governor of Imo State, led a team of police men to the scene and tried to calm the tensed situation. This led to the initiation of a peace meeting between the army and the community. An agreement was reached that the three stolen Ak 47 would be returned to the soldiers within 7 days. This made the soldiers to withdraw from the area.
Hon Declan Emelumba, Commissioner for Information and Strategy Beautiful news. They call for this, let them enjoy the outcome of their actions. We are enjoying the show from here. God bless our Galant Soldiers.
