The perplexing contrast between the nation’s economic statistics, rapid economic growth and minimal welfare improvements for much of the population is actually a big problem. We do not know any known economic theory or law that this situation conforms with.

To me, I think that most of those economic statistics are manipulated by those who feel they have absolute knowledge of all problem and their solutions. The father has plenty of money and the children are very poooor. What a perplexing contrast.

In life, there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, If you say that Abati has deviated from what he is known for, good for him, Sure he has served the himself, the public and it is time to serve the government. All of us must not be onlooker at all times to criticize the government.Onlookers are any of cowards, traitors or saboteurs ......

I am not trying to join issues with anybody on this matter. But I will say the opposition in Nigeria is not impressing me at all. Opposition is not about abusing and denigrating the person of president or other leaders. Opposition as we know it is about ideas, new ideas that can sustain the society, opposition is suppose to be a pressure group. Opposition is supposed to proffer constructive and productive ideas not destructive as it is being practiced now.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo was in opposition when he achieved all he achieved for his people and for Nigeria. He went to prison for the unity of Nigeria. He offered superior ideas to those even in government that was why he was respected. That is not what we find now. The opposition now lacks new ideas. They should wake up or in a short time people will stop listening to their rantings. They should not lead us into believing that frustration has set in. A frustrated politician is worse than an armed robber, a murderer or a terrorist.

As a practice, opposition parties are supposed to offer superior alternatives that will help improve the wellbeing of citizens in a society. No matter how acceptable a ruling political party may be, the important place of the opposition is neither discarded by parties outside power nor ignored by the incumbent administration.

Am sort of confused where we are going in this country, These pastors are advertising these churches as if they were business entities. Jesus did not worry people like this during his ministry and he succeeded. The churches are springing up everywhere. Where are they getting all the money for these adverts, from tithes, which is meant for God (Eathing the fathers portion). There is punishment for this in the bible.
