Hello guys. I took the pain to go to mekunwen today. i met with two guys on the hr recruitment team for d refinery. This was what they told me: that if we got to the psychometric test stage then we should be hopeful. that almost evryone who got to dat stage will be called. pls take note almost not evryone will be called. so a greater number from d pool dat made it to dat stage wil be called. that d offers wil be sent in batches as they cannot accomodate a large number at a time. that d list of the first batch is already ready. bfor dis month runs out or at months end guys in d first batcg wil be sent offer mails. and den after dat another batch wil be attended to and so on and so forth. also the refinery is very well under construction. its very busy over der cos one of d guys i talked was at d site recently. i also asked about those who got offers thro only cv based interviews. they told me dat those were the management trainees. (mts). surprised though to hear dat cos i thought they were supposed to pass thro all four stages of the recruitment. dis were their last words:if we got to the psychometric test stage, we shuld count ourselves lucky and hope for the best. |
JikanHauwa:Oga how do you know dat d recruitment is based on quota? you had better dont deceive yourself. just becos you come from his state, you feel you wil b given preference without provin u ar good. this one is different from his cement business. Mallam go and read very well in preparation for your interview. |
on another dangote refinery recruitment thread , one guy who got an offer claimed that he had to wait for at least 7 months before he got feedback asking him to come and collect his offer letter. He said that actually the recruitment process varies for some. for some it is so short like in the case of eazichris. so dont worry, almost everyone who got to the psychometric test stage will be contacted. make una still chill. BigUps:when we asked the hr guys that will they give feedback to everybody that wrote the psychometric test? he laughed and responded that dont we know that if some didnt get feedback while others did, it means they have been dropped and that, that is how it has been right from the onset of the recruitment to the next stages. So bro, if you werent called for a psychometric test after you did your interview and up till now you havnt been given feedback for an offer( some who didnt proceed to the group discussion stage, were called straight for interview and have been given offers. I know two people who have), then know that you were dropped already. no bad feelings, just fact. |

Consider this : why will a company like Shell pay a mill plus per month to a trainee on its graduate programme and still not bond him? with the best in class training, support system and feedback, the trainee can decide either to continue on the programme or quit. But Shell does not do that. So if questions about career development plans, remuneration, work conditions, work life balance etc are discussed with the employee, i see no reason why a company should bond him or her. these are the questions millenials want to know. actually, its not even the pay that "really" matters. work life balance is very important too. If answered it will be in the best interest of the recruiter and the trainee. so i feel that the HR team at Dangote should discuss this with any who is contacted before an offer is accepted or rejected. the HR chat will just be perfect for this. Theokleia:A friend of mine got into Dangote Cement through the GETS program. His take home after all deductions is 80k. yes 80k for real. the program will run for a year. At the end of the program they will be assessed. If one passes the assessment successfully then one becomes permanently staffed. the pay then is like 170k upwards depending on your negotiation skill and performance. some get paid higher than their colleagues. during the program, feeding, accomodation, medicals and clothing allowance is taken care of. according to my friend, its a nice place to work. |
