Congratulations Bigmove. God has really moved big in our situations. Please I want to ask, did you recently send CIC any message prior to approval? Also, did you get an email update that eligibility review has started? Or you just got an update and its Ppr. Awaiting your response.
Thank you wealth360, God be praised.
*Aside the usual CSE and mails, my husband contacted the MP of his city in January and his office contacted ircc and also London office but no response other than application is being processed. His school contacted them too but were told they cannot have access the that information required.
** I always get the "there has been no update to your application" message monthly. I got a "you have a new message in your account" on friday 15th; logged in to see that eligibility review has started, and applicatiin approved. Then I got the no update to your application message the following day.

....sorry for the late response, been offline.

Hi mikel88,
Once again I congratulate you for your victory at last. Please I have a quick question. In your testimony, you mentioned you had to go for the medical test even though you didn’t get the mail to proceed. My wife has done something similar. She did the medical on January 3rd and up till now no update has been received on our online cic page for the medical. My question is, did you submit your e-medical printout through webform? If not, how did you get the e-medical printout across to CIC if you did. In our case, we haven’t done anything with the printout. I want to know if there is anything we should do that we haven’t done. Thanks
eventhough this is not directed at me but yes, you should submit the printout through webform. January 3rd is over a month ago, maybe her medicals would have been passed by now. All the best..

It quite unfortunate that cic has no valid explantion for the unscrupulous delays in May applications. SOWP applications filled from Nigeria are sadly the slowest in the history of mankind. However, the consolation is that in the Long run, it usually turns out to be a successful.
My wife has been on the system for over 9months now, since May 28, 2018. I have explored all options, calling cic, corresponding with local MP, I even have gotten correspondence from the PM's office, sadly, all I get is: "your application is still under active review", office is currently operating out of service standards. Its a horrible experience, but God yet lives. Its a hard and tough call, but am confident we all will win in the very end.
Success to all hopefuls, Godspeed!
I believe you'll soon get your approval as I got mine on Friday 15th February , May 22nd appllicant

More details, is it London office? Or paper route, please ask for more details so we know where we are. Because last week Monday, April applicant was updated and we have not heard anything about May applicants. It is well.
London office, online route, didn't receive monthly update mail infact no mail at all unlike me with monthly ''there has been no update on your application since you last checked.'' The husband only decided to check her cic account and saw the approval.

Just go to the hospital with ur Int'l passport and also passport picture. After the medicals u will be given an e medical sheet. That's what u will upload on the site. The result will be sent directly to IRCC.

Draw your audience in with a story, then go for the kill. I find that starting with a story or an anecdote is effective, but everyone has their unique way of starting that works for them......
hello,
aside LOE, is SOP necessary and needed?
what differentiate the two?

thanks.

It's very possible to get all at the same time BUT there's a lot you need to put into that application.
1. U need to show u have available funds for ur tuition and at least 1 yr living expenses (10,000 CAD)
2. U need to provide additional funds for each family member joining u.
3. U need to demonstrate u will return to Nigeria (or leave Canada) at d end of ur study by providing home ties. Home ties could be job, property, family... But immediate family is considered very strong

Generally, what I gathered from part 9, mainly those going for doctorate get dis combo & I suspect it is cos doctorate degree takes over 3yrs & understandable, it's a long time to be separated from ones family.

Rotman's MBA is very expensive. It is advisable ur hubby applies alone. U & baby can serve as hometies. As principal applicant, he has a lot to put together in order to present a strong profile.
1. Show access to unencumbered funds in SOA for 6 months
2. Demonstrate how d MBA is a Career progression
3. Prepare documents to show assets that will bring you back home (not only family)
Thank you...

@bigmove just to clarify, your husband would be applying for a student permit while you would apply for a spouse open work permit aka sowp and your child on a dependent visa right?
If this is the case then please go online as well as the Canada student visa thread on nairaland to ensure that you have as much info as you could possibly have to ensure that you turn in a visa application that is devoid of errors and stands a good chance of getting approved.
Thank you for your response.... I do appreciate.

Madam. Obey your husband or follow his heart desires. You would survive in Canada. Aslong as you are in the country legally, you would be fine.
Thank you
