Ah Yes, It's much more civil to use a Machette than have one of those evil guns around.  When that angry mob come to your door, it be kinda nice to have a pistol or an AK.  Most of the AK47 sold here in the states are not full automatic so there is no problem owning one.

It don't say much about your people if you can't trust them to own a tool to defend themselves.

Yup! That HAARP facility in Alaska just north of where the Olympics are being held. Obama was pissed when the Olympic committee turned down his Chicago plan so he and his Chicago thugs decided to sabotage Canada. All that snow that should have gone to BC ended up in Washington. I guess they still can't control that HAARP monster to well yet. You can google HAARP and weather modification for your self and make up your own mind.
Crime / Victims Lost $9.3 Billion To 419 Scammers In 2009 by Billygoat(m): 9:15pm On Jan 29, 2010

Victims lost $9.3 billion to 419 scammers in 2009
By Jacqui Cheng | Last updated January 29, 2010 12:33 PM

Advance-fee fraud (AFF), also known as 419 scams and Nigerian scams, exploded in 2009, with victims losing more money than ever before. This is according to the latest analysis from Dutch investigation firm Ultrascan—a company that has been monitoring the activities of 419 scammers since 1996—which says that victims lost almost 50 percent more money in 2009 than 2008.

Considering that 419 scams have been well-known since the 1970s, this trend is particularly disturbing. However, Ultrascan says scammers are expanding their operations and shifting their focus to emerging Internet markets, where there's more fresh meat getting online every day.

According to the firm, which analyzed 8,503 cases across 152 countries in 2009, victims lost $9.3 billion in the last year alone, compared to $6.3 billion on 2008. Although the majority of AFF is still organized by people living in Nigeria, it's not always carried out by people there anymore—Ultrascan's 225-page report says that a minimum of 51,761 scammers perpetrated their crimes from 69 other countries with another 250,000 doing so from Nigeria.

A major reason for the growth is that scammers are no longer simply sending their "proposals" to the US and Europe. China, India, South Korea, Vietnam, and other countries are falling prey to 419 scams en masse, it seems, though Ultrascan points out that people in different countries tend to fall for specific variations of the scam. For example, the Chinese tend to fall for lottery or cash-on-delivery scams, while those in India tend to fall for low-end job and student visa scams.

With more than $41 billion lost to date and a 5 percent growth rate per year, it certainly seems as if 419 scams are not going away anytime soon. Ultrascan also cautions that, because there is no centralized place to track and report 419 and AFF scams, its estimates are mere minimums—the actual numbers are likely to be far higher.

Nigerians have become understandably sensitive to their image being smeared thanks to 419 scammers, though Nigeria's officials haven't done much to help on the PR front. Nigerian high commissioner Sunday Olu Agbi made headlines in 2008 by saying that victims were just as greedy as the scammers themselves, and therefore just as guilty for helping to keep the scams alive.

Because it's so hard for law enforcement in various countries to fight scammers from overseas, a whole movement of scam baiters has come out to lead scammers in circles in the name of vigilanteism (we gave it a try when scammers tried to use one of our staffers' homes as bait, but didn't last long). Some don't believe in the ethics of scam baiting, but even Ultrascan doesn't seem to have much faith in law enforcement's ability to help. "It's obvious that law enforcement's feeble attempts to control this fraud have failed, as evidenced by 3 decades of exponential 419 AFF growth," reads the report.

I think that Hillery Clinton set him up to disgrace Obama. You haven't heard her deny it so it must be true. Who else would have so much to gain and so little to lose? Need proof? Hillery was in Yemen about the same time as Butt Bomber. There are no photos of them together so they must have wanted to hide it. If they hid, they must be guilty. By the way, where was George Bush during all this planning? He must have been in hiding with them. He must be guilty also.

I'm sure you are quite right in your assessment. Obama's whole plan in getting elected was to take over Haiti because he couldn't possibly screwup America fast enough. He also needed to test out his earthquake machine to make sure it was ready for when he sends his Marines to Naija.

Thank you Paddy lo. You've done a fine job with this post and defending yourself from critics.

It's easy to spot the amatures in this post. Those that worry because a weapon might be old should note that the Sidewinder missle was developed in the 1950's. It's still the best short range Air to Air missle around. The M-16 was developed in the 50's just a few years newer than the AK. Both are great weapons and the winner in a battle could go to either. I fought a few battles armed with the AR and I would not hesitate to chose the AK. The C130 was developed in the 1950's and is still one of the best airplanes for the job it does.

For those that don't like the way the military operates I would challange you to join up and help make them better. If you're just sitting on the sidelines complaining, then you are part of the problem.

because they refuse to absorb. look at other cultures and how they absorb what they see and make it thier own (while still holding on to thier native culture) someone said earlier that thanksgiving is a "white" holiday. it isnt its native american/first nation/red indian/whatever you want to call them, "whites" absorbed it, as did every other group living in the us and canada. "western" culture is a blend of everything they come in contact with yet each western country still holds on to thier traditions and cultural identity. many, not all africans repel the ways of the outside world. saying that because of opression that "blacks" cant move forward is wrong. every group on the planet was opressed/discriminated agaist at some point in time including "white", holding on to the past is another thing that holds a society back. no society can move forward without the exchanging of ideas. one person invents something (clothing design, food item, building design, weapon, tools whatever) someone else sees it (whether by accident or force) and say i like this but what if i did this (change something, add something, remove something) then this new idea passes to another person/tribe/country/race/whatever and again its i like this but what if i change this, that is how technology advances htat is how society advances. absorbing ideas from other cultures whether is be the "west" the "far east" or "latin america" or from other african countries doesnt make you any less of what you are. noone says stop doing everything that your culture is.

Great response. You seem to have a good head on your sholders.

Foreign Affairs / The Joke’s On Us - The Pantybomber Wasn’t The Big Joke. We Are. by Billygoat(m): 10:36pm On Jan 02, 2010
By Mark Steyn

http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=N2M4ZjFlMDUzZDAxZGNlYjdiMzc3NjNjZDhjNjJlN2Y=

On Christmas Day, a gentleman from Nigeria succeeded (effortlessly) in boarding a flight to Detroit with a bomb in his underwear. Pretty funny, huh?

But the Pantybomber wasn’t the big joke. The real laugh was the United States government. The global hyperpower spent the next week making itself a laughingstock to the entire planet. First, the bureaucrats at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) swung into action with a whole new range of restrictions.

Against radical Yemen-trained Muslims wearing weaponized briefs? Of course not. That would be too obvious. So instead they imposed a slew of constraints against you. At Heathrow last week, they were permitting only one item of carry-on on U.S. flights. In Toronto, no large purses.

Um, the Pantybomber didn’t have a purse. He brought the bomb on board under his private parts, and his private parts weren’t part of his carry-on (although, if reports of injuries sustained in his failed mission are correct, they may well have been part of his carry-off). But no matter. If in doubt, blame the victim. The TSA announced that for the last hour of the flight no passenger can use the toilets or have anything on his lap — not a laptop, not a blanket, not a stewardess, not even a paperback book. I can’t wait for the first lawsuit after an infidel flight attendant confiscates a litigious imam’s Koran as they’re coming into LAX.

You’re still free to read a paperback if you’re flying from Paris to Sydney, or Stockholm to Beijing, or Kuala Lumpur to Heathrow. But not to LAX or JFK. The TSA were responding as bonehead bureaucracies do: Don’t just stand there, do something. And every time the TSA does something, you’ll have to stand there, longer and longer, suffering ever more pointless indignities. Last week, guest-hosting The Rush Limbaugh Show, I took a call from a lady who said that, if it helps keep her safe, she’s happy to get to the airport “four, five, whatever hours” before the flight. Try to put a figure on “whatever” and you’ll get a sense of where America’s transportation system is headed. Ten years ago, you got to the airport 45 minutes, an hour before the flight. Now, thanks to the ever more demanding choreographers of the homeland-security kabuki, it’s two, three, four, whatever. Look at O’Hare and imagine the size of airport we’ll need. And by then the Pantybomber won’t even need to get on the plane; he can kill more people blowing up the check-in line.

And remember, this was a bombing mission that “failed.” With failures like this, who needs victories?

Joke, joke, joke. The only good news was that the derision was so universal that the TSA promptly reined in some of their wackier impositions a couple of days later. But by then Janet Incompetano, the homeland-security secretary, had gone on TV and declared to the world that there was nothing to worry about: “The system worked.”

Indeed, it worked “smoothly.” The al-Qaeda trainee on a terrorist watch list, a man banned from the United Kingdom and reported to the CIA by his own father, got on board the plane, assembled the bomb, and attempted to detonate it. But don’t worry ’bout a thing; the system worked.

Twenty-four hours later, Secretary Incompetano was back on TV to protest that her words had been taken “out of context.” No doubt, the al-Qaeda-trained CIA-reported cash-paying crotch-stuffed watch-list member’s smooth progress through check-in was also taken “out of context.”

But by then the president of the United States had also taken to the airwaves. For three days, he had remained silent — which I believe is a world record for the 44th president. Since Jan. 20, 2009, it’s been difficult to switch on the TV and not find him yakking — accepting an award in Oslo for not being George W. Bush, doing Special Olympics gags with Jay Leno, apologizing for America to some dictator or other . . . But across the electric wires an eerie still had descended. And when the president finally spoke, even making allowances for his usual detached cool, he sounded less like a commander-in-chief addressing the nation after an attempted attack than an assistant DA at a Cook County press conference announcing a drug bust: “Here’s what we know so far. . . . As the plane made its final approach to Detroit Metropolitan Airport, a passenger allegedly tried to ignite an explosive device. . . . The suspect was immediately subdued. . . . The suspect is now in custody and has been charged.” Etc, etc, piling up one desiccated legalism on another: “Allegedly . . . ” “suspect . . . ” “charged . . . ” The president can’t tell an allegedly alleged suspect (which is what he is in Obama fantasy-land) from an enemy combatant (which is what he is in cold hard reality). But worse than the complacent cop-show jargonizing was a phrase it’s hard to read as anything other than a deliberate attempt to mislead the public: The president referred to the Knickerbomber as an “isolated extremist.” By this time, it was already clear that young Umar had been radicalized by jihadist networks in London and fast-tracked to training in Yemen by terror operatives who understood the potentially high value of a Westernized Muslim with excellent English from a respectable family. Yet President Obama tried to pass him off as some sort of lone misfit who wakes up one morning and goes bananas. Could happen to anyone.

But, if it takes the White House three days to react to an attack on the United States, their rapid-response unit can fire back in nothing flat when Dick Cheney speaks. “It is telling,” huffed the president’s communications director, Dan Pfeiffer, “that Vice President Cheney and others seem to be more focused on criticizing the administration than condemning the attackers.”

“Condemning the attackers”? What happened to all the allegedly alleged stuff? Shouldn’t that be “condemning the alleged isolated attacker”? The communications director seems to be wandering a bit off-message here, whatever the message is: The system worked, so we’re inconveniencing you even more. The system failed, but the alleged suspect is an isolated extremist, so why won’t that cowardly squish Cheney have the guts to condemn the attacker and his vast network of associates?

The real message was conveyed by Fouad Ajami, discussing the new administration’s foreign policy in the Wall Street Journal: “No despot fears Mr. Obama, and no blogger in Cairo or Damascus or Tehran, no demonstrator in those cruel Iranian streets, expects Mr. Obama to ride to the rescue.” True. Another Iranian deadline passed on New Year’s Eve, but the United States will set a new one for Groundhog Day or whenever.

And, just as the thug states understand they now have the run of the planet, so do the terror cells. A thwarted terror attack at Christmas is bad enough. Spending the following week making yourself a global joke is worse. Every A-list despot and dimestore jihadist got that message loud and clear — and so did American allies already feeling semi-abandoned by this most parochial of presidents. Expect a bumpy twelve months ahead. Happy New Year.

Foreign Affairs / Top Cuban Official Says Obama Lied In Copenhagen by Billygoat(m): 11:17pm On Dec 21, 2009
By WILL WEISSERT, Associated Press Writer Will Weissert, Associated Press Writer – 1 hr 2 mins ago
HAVANA – Cuba's foreign minister called President Barack Obama an "imperial and arrogant" liar Monday for his conduct at the U.N. climate conference, a reflection of the communist island's increasingly fiery verbal attacks on the U.S. government.

Bruno Rodriguez spent an hour and a half lambasting Obama's behavior in Copenhagen, telling a news conference, "at this summit, there was only imperial, arrogant Obama, who does not listen, who imposes his positions and even threatens developing countries."

He called the summit "a fallacy, a farce" and said Washington used back-room deals and strong-arm tactics to foist on the world a deal that he labeled "undemocratic" and "suicidal" because it urges — but does not require — major polluters to make deeper emissions cuts.

Rodriguez also said Cuba and other poor nations have refused to recognize the agreement because they weren't permitted to participate in its development.

He singled out comments Obama made during a news conference in Copenhagen, when the U.S. president said no agreement had yet been reached but he was confident one would before the summit ended. "Obama knew he was lying, that he was deceiving public opinion," the foreign minister said.

When asked if Cuba was serious about forging a climate agreement given that President Raul Castro declared Copenhagen a failure days before it ended, Rodriguez said, "Cuba's prestige is well-recognized in international negotiations."

"It was an open secret that countries would not reach an agreement," he said.

Rodriguez would not answer questions about the status of an American citizen who was detained in Cuba on Dec. 5 while working as a U.S. government contractor.

Castro first publicly mentioned the detention Sunday, when he told the Cuban Parliament that the American was arrested for distributing illegal satellite communications equipment.

"The United States won't quit trying to destroy the revolution," Castro said, referring to the armed rebellion that brought his brother Fidel to power on New Year's Day 1959.

"In the past few weeks we have witnessed the stepping up of the new administration's efforts in this area," he said, adding that the arrest "demonstrates that the enemy is as active as ever."

American diplomats in Cuba have requested — but not yet received — Cuba's permission for consular access to the detainee, whose name has not been released. Rodriguez refused to say whether his office would grant the request.

Rodriguez's comments Monday echoed remarks by former President Fidel Castro, who in a weekend opinion column called Obama's speech in Copenhagen "deceitful, demagogic and full of ambiguities."

Last week, the elder Castro, who stepped down as head of state in February 2008, wrote that Washington is looking to solidify its control over Latin America and that Obama's "friendly smile and African-American face" hide his government's sinister true intentions for the region.

Raul Castro over the weekend mentioned recent war games Cuba conducted to prepare for a U.S. invasion and hinted that the contractor's arrest shows further American aggression against his country is a real possibility.

"I just want to note that here we have a people who are ready to protect, at any price, the successes of the revolution," he said. "I'd advise one and all that they cease provocations of this type."
Foreign Affairs / Obama Ordered U.s. Military Strike On Yemen Terrorists by Billygoat(m): 2:55am On Dec 19, 2009

Obama Ordered U.S. Military Strike on Yemen Terrorists
Cruise Missiles Launched Thursday Hit Two Suspected al Qaeda Sites; Major Escalation of US Efforts Against Terrorists
By BRIAN ROSS, RICHARD ESPOSITO, MATTHEW COLE, LUIS MARTINEZ and KIRIT RADIA

On orders from President Barack Obama, the U.S. military launched cruise missiles early Thursday against two suspected al-Qaeda sites in Yemen, administration officials told ABC News in a report broadcast on ABC World News with Charles Gibson.

One of the targeted sites was a suspected al Qaeda training camp north of the capitol, Sanaa, and the second target was a location where officials said "an imminent attack against a U.S. asset was being planned."

The Yemen attacks by the U.S. military represent a major escalation of the Obama administration's campaign against al Qaeda.

In his speech about added troops for Afghanistan earlier this month, President Obama made a brief reference to Yemen, saying, "Where al Qaeda and its allies attempt to establish a foothold –– whether in Somalia or Yemen or elsewhere –– they must be confronted by growing pressure and strong partnerships."

Until tonight, American officials had hedged about any U.S. role in the strikes against Yemen and news reports from Yemen attributed the attacks to the Yemen Air Force.

President Obama placed a call after the strikes to "congratulate" the President of Yemen, Ali Abdallah Salih, on his efforts against al Qaeda, according to White House officials.

A Yemeni official at the country's embassy in Washington insisted to ABC News Friday that the Thursday attacks were "planned and executed" by the Yemen government and police.

Along with the two U.S. cruise missile attacks, Yemen security forces carried out raids in three separate locations. As many as 120 people were killed in the three raids, according to reports from Yemen, and opposition leaders said many of the dead were innocent civilians.

American officials said the missile strikes were intended to disrupt a growing threat from the al Qaeda branch in Yemen, which claims to coordinate terror attacks against neighboring Saudi Arabia.

The al Qaeda presence in Yemen has been steadily growing in the last two years. "Al Qaeda generally has been pushed into these ungoverned areas, whether it is the Afghanistan-Pakistan border area [or Yemen]," said Richard Barrett, coordinator of the U.N.'s Taliban al-Qaeda Sancitions Monitoring Committee. "I think many of the key people have moved to Yemen."

The U.S. embassy was attacked by suspected al Qaeda gunmen last year.

And the presumed leader of al Qaeda in Yemen, Qaaim al-Raymi, has frequently appeared on internet videos, offering an alternative to the training camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

"If they can go to Yemen just as easily or easier and get training there and come out again," said Barrett, "all your efforts in Pakistan and Afghanistan are a waste of time."

Qaaim al-Raymi was considered a prime target of the attack Thursday but was reported to have escaped the attack. However, U.S. officials believe one of his top deputies may have been killed.

Foreign Affairs / Hope And Change? by Billygoat(m): 7:27pm On Dec 14, 2009
The Cypress Times

By Katharine DeBrecht (www.radicalsruiningmycountry.com)

Last year at this time, you were giddy beyond words for your part in a historic election. You were utterly smitten with the first bi-racial President-elect of the United States. Like a child on Christmas Eve, you could hardly contain yourselves waiting for that Inauguration morning when this messianic figure would leave the columns in Denver behind and deliver unto you your wildest dreams once in the White House.

The evil that was Bush would soon be gone and whatever “Hope and Change” meant to you personally would finally be delivered. Everything was going to be all right, you told yourselves. Obama was going to be President. “Yes We Can” meant, well, whatever you wanted it to be.

After nearly a year in office are you still feeling that tingle up your leg? Are you still hopeful? Are you enjoying the change?

Since Obama took office, unemployment has jumped to 10 percent, with real unemployment estimated as high as 17 percent. Four million jobs have been lost and federal spending has exploded. In one year Obama has tripled the federal deficit, the largest since 1945. According to Realty Trac, a record 3.9 million homeowners will have received mortgage default notices in 2009.

I realize how easy it is to blame the Bush Administration for all of these things. After all, the current President does it on a regular basis. May I remind you, however, that the current recession started in 2007 and Obama and his fellow Democrats took control of the House and Senate after the 2006 mid-term elections. President Bush rolled over and signed many of the economy-killing and budget-busting bills for which Democrats, including then Senator Obama, voted. The TARP bill, which Obama recently claimed was “launched hastily under the last Administration” and “flawed” was supported by Obama who at the time called on Washington to “step up to the plate and get things done.”

So how has the community-organizer-turned-instant-chief-executive run the country so far? His “stimulus” bill to “save or create” jobs included funding for:

- A museum dedicated to man’s relationship with the horse

- A study to learn the pattern of honeybees

- Individuals to keep journals of their malt liquor and marijuana use

- Fossil research in Argentina

- A study on exit polls in Africa

Now Obama and his fellow Democrats are attempting to take over 1/6th of the economy in a healthcare debacle that a large majority of Americans oppose.

How have different segments of the American population fared with Obama’s initiatives so far?

- Black America – The unemployment rate among African-Americans is 15.6 percent and the unemployment gap between African-Americans and others has widened to 7 percent according to CNN. Fifty percent of the homes foreclosed on are owned by African-Americans.

- Young America – According to a September Department of Labor report, youth unemployment has climbed to a staggering 53.4 percent. This fall college tuition increased 6.5 percent for public (4.4 percent for private) institutions.

- Seniors – For the first time since 1975 there will be no Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA) for Social Security recipients. Meanwhile, ObamaCare has proposed $500 billion in cuts in Medicare.

- Gays – Obama has yet to overturn the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” military policy from the Clinton Era. An opponent of gay marriage, he has yet to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).

- Anti-War Crowd – Despite his promises, Obama has yet to close GITMO, and Bush’s wiretapping policies have been kept in place. While the President has approved a surge in Afghanistan after much dithering, 2009 was the deadliest year in Afghanistan since the war began.

- Those wanting a “better standing” in the world - President Obama has consistently managed to snub our staunchest allies in Europe while achieving nothing regarding Human Rights in China and voting “present” on the escalation of Iran’s nuclear program. While apologizing to the world for America’s history of liberating oppressed people, Obama has also chosen to provide terrorists in New York City an infomercial to spew their anti-American, anti-freedom rhetoric to the world. Meanwhile the TSA basically posted its version of “Getting Past Airport Security for Dummies” online.

I guess that just leaves you with “Hope.” Hope that fossil research in Argentina, the pattern of honeybees, and exit polls in Africa will somehow translate into a new job. Hope that the unparalleled largesse in Washington will magically disappear and our kids, like the politicians in Washington, will not be held accountable for egregious debts. Hope that some of the scraps from the lavish parties, bloated bureaucratic salaries and political paybacks inside the beltway will be tossed your way. Hope that our enemies will decide “Gosh, darn, with this eloquent speaker in charge, why would we blow up their cities?”

I understand that many of you have a vested, emotional interest in seeing Obama succeed as President. You voted with your heart for a brand that was filled with empty dreams of hope and change, rather than rationally confronting the realities of economic and national security. Hope can be a powerful concept. Yet, I can hope all day long that I win the next Powerball, but it does nothing for my pocketbook or the security of my family.

I do have one hope, however. You realize you got what you voted for and how the rest of America has suffered because of it.
