It's time for the Nuggets to break up the Jokic and Murray core.
They should cash in on Murray now, look for someone to dump Braun contract on, send Hardaway Jr back to whatever he's coming from. You cant coach speed and heart. Nuggets were gassed out even before the half. |

steady986: In the last 29 years, NBA teams were 1713-1 when leading by 6 or more in the last 30 seconds in a playoff game. They're now 1713-2 thanks to the Rockets its not your fault rockets are punching above their weight class in the west, their record does not reflect reality yet. Fans dont realize how long it took OKC to build. aliondo can enlighten folks. They also cant appreciate how long it has taken the lakers to get back to winning ways, after disatrously blowing up the championship team. I wouldnt panic and blow it up - I would keep the coach, and some minor retool. We are almost there... |

steady986: LeBron is still better than 80% of the league at his age. The only reason we think he's a hindrance to his team is because he earns 50m/y. Get this LeBron on 30m/y and it'd be a bargain Look at it this way: the 20% that are better than him dont earn his type of pay. So at 50m per year, he is a hindrance to the team if they dont perform come playoffs. The guys that are bing hard on him, while some of it is haterade, do have a point. If you are going to make this much money, we need to see this much impact. Just like we dog Golden State for rewarding a journeyman like a franchise player. |

A40: Lol. Even God doesn't rock with the Lakers
SGA is MVP and I'm not too crazy about SGA but breaking a Wilt streak and winning the #1 seed despite Jalen Williams missing half the season. Nothing for Wemby unfortunately. His time will come.
This 65 game rule thing I get the hue and cry about it but how can you say someone is All NBA or MVP when they miss more than 18-25 games from a possible 82. That will not apply in any other field of endeavor so why is basketball an exception
Anyway I think it should be no lower than 60. I'm sorry if you play less than 60 games it doesn't matter how gaudy your stats you can't say you're MVP missing 25 games. Availability is also an ability even with 65 games, he cant win MVP. Let is stay at 65 abeg, missed game na missed game, wether for birth of child or whatever. What of the other missed games? Too many excuses |

steady986: We going till the wheels fall off That's the mantra The stage of life is bigger than basketball. Nobody cares about Big O or Dr J anymore. Kareem is still alive and outside LA, who send? Even for LA, who send lol. Even Kobe, give it another 5 years, the average fan will not know or care. Its time to leave the game to next generation. Every year he spends time in the league is a year he could be doing something else. I give Jordan that props. Even when he cam e back to the league with Wizards, he looked around and realized the ballers of that generation had a different mindset. They could have stacked that team some more, and they might have made ECF. Jordan realized, at that stage of life, ring discussion is for dem kids. Just move on |

steady986: Austin Reaves out. Luka out. Both to miss the start of the playoffs. One last hurrah, King. Sweat wiped off the beard coloring, guy man beards don white like papa smurf Anyone in their 40s knows what it takes to keep up with a 25 year old on the court. Sometimes, you dont even chase them, just respect yourself and your ankles and let them blow past you. Lebron has been playing for 2 decades, so he has even more wear and tear than the average guy. At some point, the cost of remaining injury free will be too expensive. At this age, you can still be really strong, if you exercise and eat well. But you are not going to out-physical the most athletic 25 year olds in the world. I think he should make next season his last, go out on top of the game and put his energies into other things. One extra ring will not quiet the haters or settle fake goat debates. Its time enter the next phase, like Kobe was doing before his untimely departure |

Imagine working your ass off to score huge amounts of points to get your own record and then someone comes along and is handed it on a platter. Nah man Bro, it was handed to kobe on a platter in the same way. Once guys saw a record coming, they passed him the ball every time. And, was it knicks?, but they too plyed into the moment. If he fails to as much as get to another conference final game after hopping from loaded team to team we're going to have some touchy conversations about where he stands in the pantheon of all-timers Fair enough. But there is too much noise and rumors. and its just that right now. Rockets are where I want them to be, starting second half of season. This team is young, and needs that poke tbh |

I'm surprised no one is mentioning Jaylen Brown in the MVP conversations. The Celts were projected to win 41 games. They are trending for 55. There should be a real conversation now about who is actually better Jaylen or Jayson (I'm leaning towards Jaylen btw) Will it last in the playoffs? Tatum should sit this out, make Roland17 eye come down |

etidy: Which kind fanboy analogy be this? Who is being made to look good but pointing out the irresponsible actions of KD. You're supposed to be the leader in the team, even if you have frustrations with some of the young players is it on social media you should be airing them? What happened to calling them out in the locker room? And oh somehow you have frustrations with everyone you have ever played with.
Like I said, great player, poor and insecure leader and that's why he hasn't be able to "lead" a team to the title by himself. you want it to look like KD was the issue in golden state dont you? There is no proof on this twitter thing, so you are on a long thing there. And go look again, he is leading the team. They playing different after his open criticisms, not twitter nonsense |

Great basketballer, poor leader and a very insecure person. There is no need to pull down one player to make another look good. KD's issue with a young rockets team is expected. |

SmooshCHN: When I said we should blow it up after Poole left they called me a mad man. They wouldn't trade Steph. Tbf, there's no need to. Just get the man some real players; get rid of Draymond (I would have let him walk before KD left but that's just me) and a coach interested in putting in the work. Success attracts idiots to the organization, who then kill the success. Letting KD go like that was a big mistake. They now compounded the mistake by throwing good money after ordinary talent, just to try and prove a point. I would keep even rehabbed Klay over Draymond! Well sha, those Lebron-Curry duels were fun while they lasted, boy it was fun. |

SmooshCHN: They will come and put asterisks on Steph, Klay and Draymond's legacy You mean Steph, Klay and Durant's legacy. Draymond is the original 419, guy man has fleeced you guys, imagine what other player you could have gotten with the contract he stole from yall. You know whats even crazier, the real franchise player had no beef with Durant. It was the loud mouth triple single guy, make it make sense! It does make sense actually, because Curry failed to understand leadership must be vocal, otherwise it will not be effective. They could have kept Durant and won at least one more. Well sha, enjoy your sufferings, I hope yall enjoying Mrs Curry these days lol |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 6:05pm On Dec 12, 2025 |
etidy: Deep down Durant himself knows it, Assuming he had a couple of deep playoffs run post golden state this may have been a non issue. But he has repeatedly stacked teams and failed to get anywhere.
Durant needs to show he can win outside golden state, whether he likes it or not, its important to his legacy.
Giannis and Jokic have one title each but most consensus agree that those titles are greater than both titles Durant won at Golden state. Durant doesnt need to show anything. His place in NBA lore is cemented, there is a reason he is still relevant 2 decades in. And GSW needs to be grateful. He gave you guys two rings, without him, you likely only had one, maybe none. Anyhow I see Durant on LinkedIn more than anything else these days, which tells me the guy is more interested in expanding his influence than winning a ring. And I say, good for him. Yall need to understand something about Durant, the team that drafted him, Seattle Supersonics literally left the city and moved to OKC. That must have made an impression in his young mind - at the end of the day, this is a business, a game played by billionaires and mayors. The players are just pawns. The fans are pawns of the the pawns Lol I cant even believe I am defending Durant, whom I hated for a long time. But I have to respect the work the brother has put in |

Roland17: Also the star power keeps the arena full and that's money for the owners. Rebuilds are difficult for owners from a revenue standpoint so they allow it drag. Does the building stay full if said star never shows up? TBH, I dont know, but I guess season ticket owners already paid, so no matter |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 5:50pm On Nov 20, 2025 |
etidy: I don't understand the stubbornness of some teams. Clippers and pelicans are overdue for a rebuild yet the persist with damaged star players. Once you spend that much money on a big name superstar, it takes a lot to admit you were wrong. Doing so would lead to significant people in the front office getting fired. Front office guys are just trying to stay employed as long as possible. And Kawhi is making sure they pay for their foolish mistakes. I suspect heads will roll this season |

I am sick and tired of hearing his rants about injuries, back to back games and other nonsense he has been spitting recently. How much much easier can the league make the game for this generation? Now it’s the pace of the game, the same fake advantage this generation brags about. We may as well ban transition basketball. Hes a good x's o's coach, and he built on coach jackson's work.
