Roland17:yeah, kind of expected. With Curry on your team, you always think theres some hope, but dude is 35 as well. |
Congrats to steady986 on carrying the championship this year. I had nothing for all that firepower!! Is this a sign of a 5th Lebron ring? ![]() Honorable mention to KNIGHTBlaed, SmooshCHN , Hohenheim and killrhymz01 !! The way NBA is hot this year, maybe we add one more week next season. Teams are actually balling at the end of the season unlike before. larride try small, but the viciousness was too much joephemzyz, aliondo, I hope you enjoyed the flogging sha ![]()
|
steady986:Truthfully, yall cant bank on this win. One game at the end of the season does not count much imo |
Lebron loses. They get mad. Lebron wins. They get mad. He gets injured they roll eyes. He plays they say he stat padding. King matters are heavy yo! Beat #1 seed na wahala. Lose to #1 seed na wahala. Analysis and shalaye everywhere. They know who the goat is jare. They just cant bear the pain. Like SAS, haters gon hate |
Kibbs:You talk more about my goat than your goat. So we both know who the goat is ![]() |
Kibbs:I dont understand. In one breath you say he is not the goat. In another breath, you say he must be the goat. Can you just choose one |
steady986:I managed injuries all year long. I always found a way to edge a win. Alas, time for flogging has come ooo |
steady986:bros why na ![]() |
I dont understand this Jenkins firing. #5 in the west is nothing to sneeze at. It must be some sort of personal disagreement |
steady986:The way they play without Lebron leaves much to be desired. Lebron takes a break, and yall go from like 7 game winning streak to 3,4 game skid. Lebron should really be the third option on this team, not because he is not skilled, but because he should be on a minutes restriction. like 25 to 30 per night. The fact that he still has to play full throttle is trouble for you guys, because he cannot play 40+ minutes come playoffs, I dont care how good his conditioning is. So yes, your team is not old, but apparently you still need the old man. This means young teams will feast on you, once your old man gasses out |
greypencils:I dont understand your post, for reals. Just for your info, Lebron is human, all humans need help. I dont know anyone that has disputed this ever. Like I said earlier, yall have imagined conversations in your head. There is nothing to even fight about here. You Bron haters are like the mentally challenged guy beating the air in an open marketplace. We cant see the ghosts that are troubling you ![]() |
steady986:oga, you are not on our level. dont deceive yourself. shey na luka una dey depend on? you better not meet any of the young teams, we gon retire popsy quick ![]() |
steady986:I like it. Na only nuggets fit comot us from #2 seed. WC playoffs go bloody o, for seed 3 to 8 |
ogascomax:So this is an issue of control, not necessarily one of principle? Because this sounds very personal. It looks like he is using the pulpit to fight a personal matter, which is a no-no |
steady986:They think we think like them . When they say MJ is goat, they try not to mention any of the help he received. When we say Lebron is goat we acknowledge other people's contributions. We still talk of those ill jumpshots by Kyrie against the GSW. Can these guys name Pippen's contributions in MJ's iconic game 6 vs Utah Jazz? Of course not! All they remember the last second jumpshot my MJ, no memory of anything else! Yet, every other day, waaah, waaaah, waaah, Lebron this Lebron that. Make dem go rest abeg! 40 year old man still in top shape and pursuing legacy, more power to him!!! |
greypencils:Ok, let me step to this. The problem is half the stuff you saying, its your head. Lets explain: No one ever said Kyrie didnt deserve credit. Till today we still rever Ray Allen for the last second 3, Chris Bosh, that inside presence and last second rebound, DWade, Kyrie, even Klove and that cleveland crew! All these guys are part of the story, the lore of of folks around Lebron. You know how many of those guys feature on podcasts still recount Lebron stories till today? Till now RJ still pallies with Lebron like they still teammates!! We and Lebron know he had help, and it appreciated till today! Ask yourself, o MJ fan, how many people can MJ pally with the same way today. For real, take a moment and let it sit, the 6 chanpionship teams, how many? The real reason you think we sont give credit is beacuse it is you, the MJ fan that likes to down other peoples contributions to MJ's career. You donw Pippen, no mention of the Tony Kukocs, nothing. MJ, MJ all the time, as if he didnt have help. Look in the mirror, you are pointing fingers at yourself! |

etidy:Once he brought fatherhood into it, emotions will take over. I felt this was a bonehead move by Lebron and Lakers as well, but if you check my posts, I struggled mightily to convey my feelings on it. Primarily because there is a set of emotions that father-son matters brings to the table. If a nobody on the internet like me had trouble talking about the father son thing, SAS had to know better, that it was going to bring all the smoke to him. If I didnt have a son now playing sports, I honestly would not understand the emotional energy either. I dont think Lebron is really mad at SAS though, its just the type of pushback energy you SHOULD get from any father. Someone just needs to get the 2 together, squash it and move on. |
etidy:its not algebra though, its basketball. There is only one rock, and about 80 to 90 goal attempts per game. |
liveLongNprospa:One thing to note with this stats is they had Bosh and Wade on the heat team, so Lebron was likely playing below his potential on the Heat. Still though, his current stats are still remarkable on a team with young legs. I dont like it though, he is playing about the same minutes as Luka, 30-35ish. I want to see the young guns be even more prominent. Lebron should not be carrying this type of load. Then again, they probably have tried to stop him, but guy man just wants to ball. One good thing though, is how much more efficient he is at scoring now, so that does translate into more points with less efforts. Amazingly, the assist numbers are about the same, even with a lesser skilled team. |
larride:Was the defense that good? Clippers have always had the Lebron Lakers number. even at half strength they beat them up. This year has been different. |
50K points, at age 41. I know some people are not happy. happy goatly sunday to everybody else ![]() Btw, here is another great telling you what its like to run power plays like dunking at 36. For those of you that think it shouldnt matter: https://www.nba.com/news/warriors-stephen-curry-first-dunk-since-2019 |
Skrrrrrrr:Thats all in your mind. We count what has happened, not what you think will happen. If cp3 played with kobe, if shaq kobe never broke up, if if if... waste of time |
A40:All of this to prove that a 41 year old that you say is not goat should still be able to win a ring at 41. A ring your "goat" did not get at 37. This world is wicked!!! Hei!! |
A40:In the weak east, with jerry stackhouse? and a team he himself assembled? A team with goat wins 37 games in the east and you say it like it was a plus? At the end of the day, he was too old. For the same reason I count Currys team out. At 36, he is on the edge himself. no need for long shalaye. |
Honlucas:Thats how you were so sure 2 years ago, and you got flogged and swept. In fact I expect your comments to now curse the Lakers out of the playoffs ![]() |
steady986:I was wondering if you will notice. While Luka has the star power, AD was a better match to make a run in the west. And he had been injury free this year. I have accepted that the window has closed for you guys. |
greypencils: oh lawd |
greypencils:I am glad you have run out of options. Its okay to admit the truth, I wont judge you. Steady986 probably will. We await your tributes and taxes for the king ![]() |
Lol ![]() To be fair, the cookies was likely the last straw in a string of events. I think Riley is too old and disconnected to be effective with today's players. At least Popovich mellowed a little, and gives grace to his players. Riley is too head strong, over little things. https://nypost.com/2025/02/27/sports/lebron-james-was-not-happy-when-pat-riley-took-away-his-cookies/ |
greypencils:Thats how haters think, so you assume everyone else is thinking like you. Lebron's greatness is not debatable. Just live with it like that ![]() I dont have Lakers even making to WCF finals this year. If that happened, it would be a remarkable achievement more for Luka and the coach, than Lebron. Because it will mean the Reddick's coaching is legit not just tlk talk, and Luka stepped up consistently. Lebron has 4 rings with 3 teams, his greatness is not in question. |
Skrrrrrrr:He can be #2, he just cant play any game more than 35 minutes. And come playoffs even that 35 minutes will be a lot the longer the series goes. But what you guys were insinuating is a different matter. That just because Luka was on the team, Lakers should win a ring, or else. I notice you dont use this yardstick for anyone else. |
