Many may not understand the rhetorics of governance. Many may not understand how uneasy the head that wears the crown is. We know you may have made errors as a human but that is why you are human.
You will be remebered in many ways but I will concern myself with how I will remeber you.
You are the most considerate President Nigeria ever had. You are the one that had the chance to slit the country but begged the confab not to. Your region holds the economic strenght of the nation but you choose to share with the rest of the country. Even when the powers of the incoming president was to be whittled, you stopped it. Under your administration, fuel was most stable. Power rose from 3000Megawatts to 4500Megawatts a feat previous administrations have battled with. You deversified the economy when you percived the world was looking at alternatives and the price of oil deeped.
I never had the opportunity of meeting you in person. If I have the opportunity now, I will still consider you my best president so far.
I wish you very well in whatever capacity you may find yourself. UN will find a place for you and am sure your peaceful, glowing and amiable disposition, will be your selling points.

Me think the man is genuinely involved but it wasn't proven. He has good lawyers. Am sure he has money and so can afford them.

Am surprised at the responses of NLanders on this. GEJ has nothing to loose by ascenting to the amendments given his remaining tenure. That probably is the reason why the upper house is surprised that he did not 'cut down' the powers of the incoming president and subsequent ones as the constitution is not amended too frequently.
This again has shown GEJ maturity and goodwill to GMB's administration. Most leaders would have a 'dog in a manger' approach to an issue like this. If they are not benefitting, they are putting others down.
Let us respect the man for his goodwill.

I dont understand most peeps here on Nairaland. A chick in her late 30s means 38/39. At that age menopause is like 4/5 years away. If the guy had not made the proposal, I think the lady should have been the one to suggest it if she really needs to be a mother. Her chances of being a wife is almost gone; that of being a mother is gradually going as well.
If she were a younger lady, then I would have advised her to hold on and hope she meets a ready guy or wait for her man to have enough money for the ceremony.
I have a cousin in exactly the same situation. She is past 40. I have advised her to get any male friend to get her pregnant. The child would be consolation in old age. You dont want to die cold and lonely!
