Go and get a copy of the Supreme court ruling that made Ameachi a governor without him contesting the election in the first place.

Ameachi deliberately delayed joining APC thinking the court proceedings against his decampment will take longer than 2yrs. [b]Ameachi you will not be in government house anymore by mid 2014 as the Presidency is about concluding a water-tight case against you in the courts seeking your removal on office on the premise of your decamping to the APC based on the initial supreme court ruling that saw you emerge as a governor. That ruling which was a landmark ruling which saw you being sworn in as governor without contesting the election made party affiliation above individual candidates. And since you have decided to dump the party that saw you into power without a vote it is only thus right that the same ruling be applied to remove you given your new affiliations.

You will then not have the day to day mundane task of administrating governance in Rivers which will afford you time to pursue your new quest and ambition to be vice president under the APC arrangement. But know that you may still not qualify since the EFCC will be unleashed on you with full force that a conviction will be met before December, 2014 thereby automatically disqualifying you from seeking elective office.
Offcourse you will be free to appeal any conviction but your sentence will have to run concurrently so you will definitely be behind bars come 2015.
