atlwireles: The Iteskiris know their place in Warri. They can always be reminded if needed.abi ohh. There had been peace since that useless awo come cause katakata. Deltans are peaceful and highly diversified so I pray Thiefnibu will not come and try and incite Itskeris again |
Aigipan: Another lamentation from a particular group that are only good at developing other people's regionanother roach ! can't you people post a counter response?
|
St_Black: 1991 not 1999. ! St_Black: -Has Lagos received as much as half of total allocations from oil money as the Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, CR & d FCT since 1999?Your original question was from 1999 ![]() and you are all like that greedy ungrateful cun.t that bites the finger that fed em. as i said go and sleep and dream "progressive " dreams. ![]() |
shymexx: Can you read? I said, "SE." Still don't know when Delta became part of SE, to be honest.Delta is not SW either! So stop lumping them in. Delta apart from the minority Itshekiris who can be found only in parts of Warri who your Awolowo promoted above the Urhobos, Isokos and Ijaws after the civil war by creating the Olu of Warri in a feeble attempt to Yorubarize Delta was ignored or rather tolerated because A landlord does not need to remind the tennant who owns the house. This same nonsense Awolowo did caused the Warri crisis between the Itshekiris and the Urhobos after it became evident that the Itskeiris were now claiming warri. Please it's a long story that led to serious crisis in the 90's. Ask any Deltan guy in the UK to give you the gist. But stop claiming Delta as Yoruba. |
Eziachi: We Biafra people are no fools and appreciate honesty. His insightful post is well appreciated. Hiding the truth only makes things worse. I personally for the life of never understand why many Yoruba love the cesspit called Nigeria especially after 1993, until I read his post. It's nothing to do with love of Nigeria, but fear of the unknown, from within, which is silly because they are too smart to be held down by what happened in the ancient times. The Yorubas are the ones that will claim to fight for Justice but when it comes to oil redistribution and FG allocation they go either blind or mute at the same time. Hypocrites! |
This is why a Sovereign National conference needs to be held. Stop allowing trolls like Thiefnibu to keep deceiving you. He and his APC cronies want Nigeria to remain as it is in the event they get there and continue the pillaging . If the likes of Buhari was in power Iam dead sure he will throw away whatever fiscal sharing formula that is in existence so that he can divert it all to the north. Nigeria can only remain if there is both equity and responsibility within our respective sovereignty. Can you imagine that Baboon from Niger State shouting that FG is refusing to develop and exploit their oil reserve? Is that what governance has been reduced to? A governor is just sitting there waiting for allocation. |
plaindealer: Apart from you not knowing that Lagos accounts for 60-70% of Nigeria's industrial output from industrial estates created by the old Western regional government way before Nigeria as a country and still Nigerians's non oil economic engine.Industrial inputs are not the same as Outputs ode! You cannot compare to JAPAN because you are daft and have a low IQ |
shymexx: Also, SW has an oil-producing state and the state alone produces more oil than the oil in the whole SE. !again you fail. How can you compare a few oil wells in Ondo as producing more than the entire Niger-Delta. Please do not include Delta! They won't follow you maybe Edos will but definitely not Delta. shymexx: . Apart from that, Lagos contributes a lot to the country and cocoa also contributes a lot.!I laff! sO YOU HOPE TO START YOUR EMPIRE ON A CASH CROP. Abother BANANA Republic in the making. It is Urhobo and they are closer to the Ijaws than Yorubas. And Delta cannot join you because of our Ibos to the north that we live peacefully with. If you were allowed in then we know you will want to deport them across the bridge. |
St_Black: Saw lots of good contributions here, likewise some rubbish as well. Its been actually chaotic on the thread however.1999 is just 13years back. After the civil war, the Gown administration up to Babangida were quartered in Lagos and they made their presence felt. Nigeria's economy got a boost from oil exports. Festac, Satelite Housing units, most parts of Surulere, Iganmu Stadium, Murtal Mohammed Airport, Tin Can port was built by OBJ and the Wharf was extended, Oshodi Apapa Express way, 3RD Mainland and Eko Bridge (and they are not even tolled!), 1004 units, Eric Moore Towers, Gowon Estate Egbeda, Federal Palace Hotels, Eko Hotels, etc were all built FROM 1976 up till 1999. -Has Lagos received as much as half of total allocations from oil money as the Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, CR & d FCT since 1999? Federal Allocations from the oil producing areas are computed on 13% oil derivative. Do you have oil wells in Lagos? Does Lagos gets MORE or gets LESS than what it currently coughs out to the center? U should ask the oil producing states since they are left with a paltry 13& and the rest 87% is shared by the rest of you. Despite the HUGE revenues this poor state gives to your FG, has your good-for-nothing government ever rendered justice by paying back the HUGE debts it owes this state for many years now? Rubish. which debt do FG owe you? If FG is to bill you alone for 3RD Mainland Bridge at the same rate Fashola is towing Bridges You will be bankrupt? What monies by the way does FG owe you? Is it all those road maintenance contracts awarded on FG roads by thiefnibu which were later in inflated and presented to the FG for reimbursement? The same road scam that OBJ wasnt buying which caused a lot of bad blood between FG and LASG with the then Minister of Works Ogunleye at the center? Or are you asking for LG allocations that were arbitrary and criminally created by Thiefnibu disregarding constitutional outlines on how LGAs should be created? Abeg go and sleep |
shymexx: Do you know how to read the map? I'm looking at some of naija's offshore oil wells now and using territorial waters to ascertain who would own them if Lagos were a different country. And there are a few oil wells out there than Lagos can lay claim to, to be honest.I NEVER WANTED TO DIGNIFY THIS BUT HOW IS LAGOS TERRITORIAL WATERS part of Delta (they wont follow you so stop salivating) , Rivers, Bayelsa or Akwa Ibom.? How? |
Truckpusher: Sharrap and get a life you scumbag with no ballsAbeg help me tell these mumus. Yorubas are darn too selfish and jealous of other southerners progressing that they are ready to sell themselves into slavery with the north and continue this useless arrangement. The likes of Soyinka , Falana and co have all showed their true color under GEJ Thiefnibu don sell all of dem give malu. |
dahfweshdude69: I don't have time for silly arguments by dis time of d day...if u have any problem with lagosians.. ur fucking luck...it won't stop d state from progressing... why not face ur state n think of something important u can do for ur state rather than bashing another state... reason well...not insulting uI am a Lagosian you nit |
dahfweshdude69: pffffor lack of anything to add if i must say so |
dahfweshdude69:it hurts donit! |
shymexx: For argument sake, can you list the infrastructures built with oil money in the SW? I'm always open to knowledge and education about Nigeria. The bolded is an indicator that you must have skipped your meds today as such I will not dignify that with a reply. The whole 9 yards!. Lagos and all the SW benefited not only from FG largess in terms of federal roads and Infrastructure, subsidized oil , free tertiary education on a mass scale , etc. |
bloggernaija: Ungrateful? So were the creeks. |
shymexx: I disagree with the highlighted part. Yoruba elites might be beneficiaries of Nigeria, however, ordinary Yoruba people are just as dirt poor and the rest of the other people in the country. Also, oil money also didn't build the infrastructures in the SW. When I look at Ibadan, I see relics built during the first republic with cocoa money by Awolowo. So where is the oil money? I look at Lagos and I believe most of the pseudo-infrastructures there were built before oil money and after the capital-status was stripped-off the state. So where's the oil money? Heck, even Abuja that was built with oil money looks like an abandoned pensioners' town with dull architecture.https://www.nairaland.com/1544641/ungrateful-lagos Your hands are soiled from all that oil and you still deny that Oil never helped the SW. smh! |
Jamaican NOT Ghanaian. Must any other accented English speaking Black Person be Ghanaian? |
Nah their way for Abuja. She will stalk you for attention. Truth is she is really desperate and lonely for all the wrong reason. |
Omo_Tier1: Some of you just talk without reasoning. You seriously think Oshiomhole will go and donate Edo State money in a book lunch just like that?perhaps, the OP should tell us the full story before anyone can blame the governor.sharap. APC has a lot of steady ready charge n post lawyers here. Who gave Osho omo ole the right to donate Edo State money to charity if at all it is now a charitable offering rather than a book launch. |
wirinet: You are very wrong. The supreme court can never remove a validly elected governor. The powers of the courts stops at the elections and the processes leading to an election. Once a governors has been validly elected, only the state houses of assembly by way of impeachment, death, resignation or incapacitation can remove a governors.Omehia was sworn in. His emergence as a governor from being successful at the poll was not debated it was the primaries that the supreme court ruled on. That same victory for Omeha was handed to Ameachi. The Supreme court ruling will surely be applied. And yes I hate ameachi with passion and it has nothing to do with GEJ but his affiliation with those criminal hausa/fulanis that have pillaged the Niger-Delta |
Uyi Iredia: @ OP: Lagos is ungrateful where it ignores its cosmopolitan nature which is an important strength. That said you are wrong to say Lagos has no natural resources. At first glance it has an arable land, and fish-rich waterways, and tourism spots. In terms of Industrial inputs. |
Slncere 9gerian: 10. South Africa to mourn a hero. They should pray for former South African president Dr Nelson Mandela and Arc-Bishop Desmond Tutu.just stop! Mandella has been sick for over a year now. This guy is stock brokering and nothing more |
plaindealer: Apart from your ignorance and lack of historical understand regarding the subject matter aka Lagos state, you people's endless anger, bitterness, hate and unnecessary rage against other people can not yield you any fruit but continued anger, bitterness, hate and unnecessary rage..jus spending my 2 cents https://gifsforum.com/images/gif/troll%20face/grand/u-mad-troll-face-c20ad4d76fe97759aa27a0c99bff6710-5.gif now gerrout! |

Pls this is a very heinous crime against humanity, which should be condemned by all and not tribalized. Pls sane people lets share this video till it gets the attention of the authorities. Those guys in the video where highly progressive beings |

berem: Magic Bishop, what makes you think you can't do worse than them? Remove the log in your eye before removing the speck in another man's eye you hypocrite!!I will pour sulfuric acid down your drain any day baby ![]() |
Here on NL we are constantly bombarded by silly propaganda from Lagos state by their APC stooges but what is really disturbing is the some what elitist mentality and condescending view of the rest of Nigeria and Nigerians outside Lagos that Lagosians have adopted. For some unknown reason Lagosians or rather those claiming to be Lagosians, are always quick to state how well developed Lagos is compared to other parts and boastfully beating their chicken chests but that is not the crux rather it is their view that Lagos was some how built by their own sweat. Disregarding the contributions by individual immigrant populations from a particular region, it is safe to say Lagos owes the FG more for development given that Lagos witnessed a lot of investment in infrastructure (at the detriment of other regions) when she was the then capital city. The height of development in Lagos coincided with the economic boom heralded from Oil and as such Lagos owes her development in terms of FG infrastructure from the exploited and neglected Oil regions. Outside Federal developments, the other claim that they will come up with is that of Lagos Industrial base. Originally most of these Industries located in Lagos were exporting and servicing local demands and given that Lagos as a state cannot boast of any natural resource or viable diversified aggro-sector we can conclude that most of these companies rely on other regions for their production inputs. Now that most of the companies are mere packaging outfits and the only reason for remaining in Lagos apart from the huge market is also as a result of proximity to the sea ports. These companies will later market and distribute their goods within the commonwealth to which Lagos get substantial tax earnings. So when Fashola made that useless demand that the Nigerian Stock Exchange be renamed Lagos Stock Exchange, Mr. Fashola displayed his overestimation of Lagos contribution to the Nation's GDP other than as a prime coastal real estate. So next time you APC he-goats support your myopic and desperate agenda to become semi-autonomous remember that Lagos owes Nigeria for what she is today and not the other way round. |
They are nothing but bloody liars and thieves! |
