My younger cousin is what you will regard as a typical big boy.He drives a good car and is living large.

We haven't been in contact for a long while so I decided to get his number and call him to catch up on old times. I really wanted him to put me through his line of work so I could solve my personal issues. He invited me over to his place and I stayed there for 3 days.

Omo after the first day there,he gave me his clothes to help him wash and instructed me to clean his flat.Hmmm I did it o

He came back with his woman and didn't even mutter as much as a thank you.

He even told her I was one of those his family members 'wey no get levels'.He said it in a very spiteful and disregarding manner.This na person I senior o and he do visit us then when he was little.

I was a little pissed at that descrption and he noticed it.there are other humiliating stuff that happened that day but I don't really have strength for typing.He was just using me to shine in front of the girl.

Before I left,he told me I will need to humble myself before him unless nothing for me.

I'm thinking of going back there to apologise to him for being pissed at him.

How do you guys see it?

I really need his percuniary support to solve my personal issues.

What if you take all these shit and you find out that he's not into something legit. His attitudes shows it though. I'll advice you let him be find other things to help yourself. You may not live as large as he does but your peace of mind matters.

Taking him for a test is not my problem. Their mother is against it. I cannot do that without her support. And the thought of moving to Nigeria was just a thought. We both have been chewing on that for a while now. Raising kids in this environment, particularly in today's US, is not as easy as you think. When I grew up in Nigeria, I had teachers who would flog the daylights out of you for misbehaving in class, and once you get home, you will get additional cane. I know how many times my dad broke cables on my back for misbehaving in school, and that is after I got punished by my teachers. Those beatings straightened me out and made me who I am today. Here, teachers cannot lay their hands on kids as they can be arrested for abusing the child. I've seen it play out several times and it is not pretty. Even the good ol' "ass whopping" families give their kids when they misbehave is frowned on as one nosy neighbor can call child services and report that you're abusing your kids.

That isn't working in Nigeria anymore for if you dwell on it I guess you'd rather stay back. Moreover we back home are looking for a way to escape this country. Parents of this days now threatens to sue schools for flogging their kids and schools this days don't allow that too. Some teachers even get sacked for trying to discipline a kid. Nigerians have now adopted they Yankee style. The football academy is fine and I pray someday soon it will be corrected.

Going through Lokoja there are kidnappers and going through Niger State there are bandits where will he pass to Lagos

Some things are better managed by an insider.

An indegine may easily be compromised. But a foreigner, before you get used to him and start creating a high level of closeness with him he's done his job to a large extent and when you're about being his friend he will be transferred this pattern helps them to perform better.
