For those who don't have access to the channel 199 yet, you can call customer care on 2703232 or 2703233. Be prepared to spend some money on recharge card, cos those guys can waste time! They will give you further instruction. As for my decoder, when I took it to their Ikeja office this morning, they told me I have to change my remote, cos it just would not go to the BBANi channel.

Autos / Re: Honda Crv 2006 Now N2.4m by Bisowo(f): 9:49am On Sep 01, 2009
How can you say it's overpriced at N2.7m. This is 2006 model! Compare the price elsewhere and see it's definitely not overpriced. Anyway, thanks for the offer, but no deal.

Anyone out there close enough to the asking price, should call. Then, we can talk.
Only serious buyers though.
Politics / Re: EFCC Acting On Debtors: What About Wonder Bank Victims? by Bisowo(f): 11:32am On Aug 27, 2009
Here is an appeal to the authorities: every single kobo kept in the accounts of our banks thru the wonderbanks, should be released to their rightful owners. 'De-freeze' the accounts of the wonder banks and let everyone 'investor' be given back their monies. Only then would we know that our leaders are at least, a little sensitive to the needs of the common man. I bet you some of the banks have been enjoying these booties since the accounts were frozen!
Politics / Re: EFCC Acting On Debtors: What About Wonder Bank Victims? by Bisowo(f): 11:25am On Aug 27, 2009
If we must be honest with ourselves, methinks fewer people would have been caught in the web of fraud that these fund managers presented 2 years ago. Truth is, Nigerians are hungry. Nigerians yearn for what is 'normal' in any other normal country. Since these aspirations are definitely way out of the reach of the the ordinary Nigerians, the need to resort to any means to get what is 'normal' readily makes them victims! Hence the mess we later had. But it is sheer injustice, for anybody to seek to profit from this, knowing that the culprits of this mess are mainly the have-nots.
My candid opinion, these banks ought to be made to vomit every single Naira and Kobo they've been sitting on since the freeze on the accounts of the fund managers, and a committee, made up of competent Nigerians, be made to return the monies to their rightful owners. This, of course, is if the monies are still with the banks!

abhosts:

I cant believe that some people are still dreaming of getting their money back from the Kalo-Kalo schemes of 2006/2007. grin grin

This is like comparing apples with oranges. Banks are Legal Entiities Approved and Regulated by the Government while those so called "Fund Manager" where nothing but Ponzi schemes mostly run by criminals.

Regardless that many of these fund managers were later found to be fraudsters, the question is what happened to all the monies frozen in the accounts of the so-called legal entities (banks). WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE MONIES?? When these fund managers' operations were stopped, Nigerians were told that the authorities would get to the roots of all the mess. Two years after, nothing has been said or done. Only an audible silence. Meanwhile, it's been business as usual for the inevitable beneficiaries (the banks and only God knows who else!). Talk of chop clean mouth! Why were the banks not penalised after it was found that they were also involved in the whole scam? They were warehousing the funds, playing russian roulette with people's lives, and for some, their destinies! Only in a country like Nigeria can this happen. Nigeria, we hail thee o!!!

Events / Re: ~The Morning After: What Do You Do With Your Wedding Dresses. . . ?~ by Bisowo(f): 5:45pm On Aug 12, 2009
By morning after here, I'm talking of 10yrs! And yes, it's been hanging in my closet all those years; not by choice tho. Just couldn't think of who to dash it to. My younger sisters each insisted on making their own to their own tastes, (who wouldn't anyway!) Meanwhile, and to my utter consternation, I would need to be about half my current size to be able to fit into it again! sad
Only consolation, the dress, if taken apart, can still be useful to make a native Igbo blouse. My daughter actually thought it was a real barbie gown! undecided undecided undecided

You need to state the brand and model of car you're looking at. And of course, you're talking of Naija used. I have a Maxima 92 model, for sale. But the price is 420k. I can give you a slight discount if you're interested.

Where is the man who started this post? what about the journalist who could only pick yhis from a week-long program, what are their goals? Greatness comes with some price and fools will always make mockery of anything! I strongly believe everyone should adopt kobojunkie position- keep out of this thread, let fools continue blabbering, the thread will die naturally. it doesnt deserve this long discourse! REFUSE TO BE A FOOL! God bless you all

For all, who would not partake in another man's sins, in condemning what they do not understand, I think the above aptly sums up what our attitudes ought to be to this thread hence. Stay clear! Let all who have chosen to remain fools continue to rant. DO NOT BE A FOOL!
Politics / Re: Adeboye Floats Millionaires’ Club by Bisowo(f): 11:58am On Aug 11, 2009
Why all the noise. If you're angry at the man of God for doing what he's doing, why not go start your own, and do it better. With all your noise, you can't do jack about it; only incense yourself and others in the same boat with you further. You're entitled to your own opinion, but you can't force it down other people's throats. By the way, methink the poster of this thread only had one goal; to stir up hatred against this reverred Christian gentleman. I feel it is not fair to castigate and condemn what you don't fully understand. As if that will make your life better, to spue hatred and frustration at someone you perceive, in your truly warped mind, an enemy!

Career / Flower Design Work In Nigeria: An Unappreciated Profession? by Bisowo(f): 11:45am On Jul 07, 2009
As a flower design artist, I've often wondered why Nigerians are not so hot on the beautification aspect of their spaces, whether homes or offices. I still don't have an answer. undecided
