soe: Okay...one thing I know is this....GEJ has seen that he may lose the 2015 election..and so ...over to plan B...that in the event of a war situation, there will be no election until further notice...hence, they have given BH the signal to increase their tempo..that's why everyday we keep hearing that our army has been overpowered by BH..tell me, was it not this same army that purchased heavy weapons just weeks ago? Was it not this army that attacked and cleared BH just weeks ago?
GEJ please no ambition is worth the blood of one human being..pls give us peace so that God can give you peace in this world and in the hereafter.
We saw how you quickly reacted to the Tambuwwal saga...but days have passed now and nothing is being done to send BH out of Mubi...just imagine what the displaced families are going through..no food, no roof, no clothes..they are just scattered in the hills of Cameroon... Now BH has taken over another community on Gombe.
Every leader will account for the sufferings of his people...on the day of judgement. May God bless you.....some know the truth but just refuse to accept the truth when it's more than crystal clear in their eyes |

cramjones: While the PDP continue to sell their forms to their "aspirants" We have some questions for them: 1. Who is to gain politically if the entire North-West is ravaged, and declared insecure for voting? Who really gains politically?
2. Why did the late Azazi claim that PDP was behind Boko Haram? And why did his Helicopter crash mysteriously?
3. Why is the President romancing Ali Madu Sherrif? Why has there been no formal investigation launched since the Australian who accused Ali Madu Sherrif of funding Boko Haram spoke out?
4. Despite the killings, bombing and kidnappings, why haven't the Federal Government done anything to Senator Ndume? Why is he still holding a position at the senate, despite the overwhelming evidence? If I may add, why is he being tried secretly?
5. Where is the John guy that DSS caught trying to blow up radio house 2 years ago. He said he worked for the DSS, why haven't we heard anythinng about him since then?
6. Why is Orisejiafor involved arms smuggling and why is Pastor Adeboye defending him, what link does Adeboye have with Orisejiafor? On what basis as regards evidence is Pastor Adeboye defending Orisejiafor? Or is it because both pastors are good friends to the PDP and the President?
7. Why did the Federal Government debunk claims that girls were kidnapped?
8. Why is the United States not sharing intelligence with the Nigerian Government?
9. Why did Boko Haram try to kill General Mohammadu Buhari?
10. Why did the Federal Government lie about negotiating the release of the girls with Boko Haram, when in actual fact, only yesterday, the third Shekau stated clearly that the girls were married off and no talks went on? Since then 3 bombs have gone off killing over 100 people (Remember they "killed" Shekau twice, now we have a 3rd Shekau clone)
11. Why Borno? Could their be any links to the rich uranium deposits and oil discovered in Borno? Could it be that there are covert foreigners involved without any control of the Federal Government? Could it be that they are using the violent political rift to perpetuate their own evil?
12. Why has the Federal government failed to win the war against an ill-trained army of not more than 10,000, despite having an army, airforce and navy numbering over 100,000 with fighter jets and high grade military hardware?
13. Why are the army chiefs all fat?
14. How did Ihejirika have accounts with ten of millions of dollars? What was his salary as a chief of army staff?
15. Why is President Jonathan wanting to collect a $1billion loan when our defense spending during the period Boko Haram murdered the most hit $8billion?
16. Why are APC members labelled as Boko Haram sponsors? We are the opposotion, wouldn't the government score a huge political point and turn the public and the world against us if they can provide some evidence to their claim?
17. Back to Ali Madou Sherrif, why did he move on to join the PDP? Is he trying to escape from something? Recall, we had a party meeting while he was still in our party, and Bola Tinubu told him speficially that we had all the evidence on him as one of the sponsors of Boko Haram.
18. Did $20 billion get missing? Would Sanusi Lamido Sanusi make such grave allegation against a whole president? If it did get missing? Where is money, who and who has spent it? That is a lot of money!
19. Why has president Jonathan failed to fish out those he said where Boko Haram members in his government? He specifically said they were in his cabinet? Who exactly do we have as a Boko Haram minister?
20. Finally, why the president's men pressure Henry Okah to blame the very first bombing in Nigeria in 2010 on Northern elites? Why did the President refute MEND's claim of bombing, whilst pressuring Henry Okah through Oroto Douglas (presidential aide) to deny the bombing and blame it on Northerners?

QuiverBox: When you say Man are you referring to your Husband or your Boyfriend?
If you are referring to your Boyfriend, then let me ask, what Morally justification do you have to demand for him to take care of you , what ownership do u have over him? Is it a right for him to succumb to you demand? HELL NO. What ever he will do for you should be consider a privilege not a Right.
If you are referring to your Husband , then he as the Man of the House has a responsibility to take care of his Household , you his wife inclusive. Even the Bible says in 1 Timothy 5:8 "any man that does not take care of his Household is worst than an Infidel"
My dear if you mindset has been that of a Guy to take care of his Babe all the time, you have to change that mindset and learn to fend and take care of yourself with or without a man, But if you are Married , please support your Husband in fending for your Household.

Gbawe2: I am not a Lawyer ,and indeed open to correction from Nairaland members who are legal practitioners , but I think the position of the law, if Fayose is disqualified, would be that INEC may have to organise a new election with the PDP likely given the chance to present another candidate.
I will repeat that I think Fayose won and is the choice of Ekiti folks but the law is the law. If it can be proven he is disqualified from running then the APC must take advantage of this. All well-meaning Nigerians, to include the fans of Fayose, should allow the judicial process to arbitrate on this development even if only for the sake of improving the sanctity of the Nigerian political system. We should, as the biggest black nation on earth, set examples and not be guilty of crass backwardness indicated by a situation where disqualified candidates manage to circumvent the law to become important public servants.
OBJ started the trend of foisting disqualified candidates on the electorate because of his belief that men of dubious character can always be induced and used by a Presidency happy to ignore the rule of law and disregard the concept of strong institutions in the efforts to get his own electoral ways always. I personally hope this case is argued to the end meritoriously. I remember the personal trauma I felt that Ibori, convicted in the UK of credit card fraud and theft from an employer, was allowed to become a governor by a corrupt, dishonest and compromised judiciary. This was despite the efforts of stakeholders who took Ibori to court and showed correctly that the man was indeed a convicted criminal only for the brazenly corrupt judge to dismiss the case against Ibori. We must begin to shun criminality at all times in Nigeria and not when it suits us only. This applies to APC, APGA, Labour, PDP or any Party. If disqualified from the political process then you should stay disqualified. Kind of comment that gives hope even when all hope is lost in the country......most people do not reason before commenting, even if they reason they allow political or religious affiliation have the better hand in their judgements.... well said |

Gbawe: @Topic.
I don't support Fayose being denied his mandate to lead Ekiti through the use of back door tactics. I believe Fayemi lost the election to Fayose. Nonetheless, this is politics and any legitimate and legal tactics to defeat a foes is 'par for the course'. If the APC Fayemi camp has now seen a legally pertinent argument establishing the case, beyond doubt, that Fayose was disqualified from running as a gubernatorial candidate then they would be incorrigible victims for not using this advantage to confront PDP impunity and lawlessness.
The same thing happened in the past when some stakeholders tried to prevent Ibori from contesting to be a governor. Those brave stakeholders took their case to court and argued correctly that Ibori had been convicted of a criminal offence in the UK and thus disqualified from participating in a guber race in Nigeria. OBJ, with his mind settled on another 'criminal son' in Ibori, would have non of it. The judge brazenly declared that the Ibori convicted of criminal behaviour in the UK was not the same Ibori vying to be Governor In Nigeria. Of course we all now know this to be false and another disgrace to corrupt Nigerian judiciary and the lawless backbone of Nigerian leaders OBJ and GEJ commonly typify.
Fayose won but the APC should not let go if there is a legally verifiable reason barring Fayose from contesting in the first place. Enough of the PDP foisting convicted criminals and felons on Nigeria.
Fayose on his part, if he is not the thug people claim he is, should never use thuggery and violence in an an effort to intimidate the judicial process. That is unacceptable in civilised and democratic society. I think Fayose knows that a legally enforceable case against him can be established and this is why he is acting desperately. Most folks can admit he won but Nigeria should never seek to be a Country where law and order is relegated to the back because of political agenda. If it can be proven that Fayose was disqualified from running then let this be a watershed case that perhaps puts an end to PDP's practice of presenting disqualified convicted criminals and felons as candidates for important public office. They have gotten away with it for far too long. Well said |

cramjones: The number one problem facing Nigeria today is corruption! A few examples of the rot we have will corroborate this point:
1. Inadequate water - due to embezzelment by several levels of govt
2. Insecurity - top army generals embezzeling funds for military hardware, police being bribed, ghost workers replacing real workers thereby leading them to become criminals etc
3. No electricity - From 1999 to date over $25 billion has been spent on power but nothing to show for it. Texas and New York use turbines that cost less than $2billion. Texas is much larger than Nigeria.
4.Poor education - VCs simply embezel the money for their universities.
The list goes on and on. Fix corruption, and you fix Nigeria. Jonathan has only encouraged and promoted corruption. The ONLY person that is fearless and would ruthlessly cleans this country is the General - Mohammadu Buhari. Make the right choice!

shamecurls: The story goes like this:
The Nigerian government wanted some cache of weapons in South Africa and so they borrowed Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's private jet. Probably because the self-acclaimed giant of Africa could not find a befitting aircraft amongst her fleets of military planes to transport the intended weapons for them, not even among the 10 private jets in President's fleet. It is Ayo Oritsejafor's jet that was the best.
Meanwhile, Ayo Oritsejafor did not know that the government intended to use his jet to buy weapons. He leased his jet to a 2nd person ( Eagle Air) and the 2nd person leased to the 3rd Green Coast Produce) and then the 3rd to the 4th One Mr John Ishyaku or so (who happens to be 2 be an agent of the government wit one person and an Israeli with 9.3 million dollars). Sorry, I get it, the Israeli told our government that they should rather buy weapons from South-Africa instead of his country, Israel, because it is better for SA to take the money than Israel who supposedly makes better weapons. Wao, wat a nyc man. So generous of the Israeli. So Israelis buy weapons for us. Military experts from our country did not have to follow to inspect the weapons and the inventory. Beautiful!
Also, the South African government was unaware that the Nigerian government was coming to buy weapons in their country. In their shock, they seized the jet and the money. Well, buying arms is more or less like buying noodles. It is not a serious thing and so any government can walk into another country without informing the host country that they intend buying weapons in their country. So foreign government just walk into another country like that, buy weapons and then off they go. And this is how the government of Nigeria have been buying weapons since 1960? Terrific! Una do well! Moreover, tot d man said dey bought him d jet to ease his duty and support his ministry, his using d jet as Kabu Kabu part of his ministry too? His d money coming frm d Kabu kabu goin bak into d ministry or personal pocket? Shebi, Any transact btw two countries are bn done by d Central Banks? Abi, my ova sabi is gettin too much? Ok, let me leave dat to d bankers. Morever, I tot d F.G now insist on Cashless Banking or it is not effective to d Ogas at d top? Moreso, where is such huge money comin frm b4 getting into d suit cases? Many Question dat want unlimited ansas... Even though only God knows wat we dnt know but is quite funny how d Ogas at d top plays wit our intelligences forget dr is one OGA PATA PATA AT THE TOP waiting for dem to serve dem ryt. And so shall he serve evrybody according to wat he put forward. For example,
I bought a truck and leased it to a haulage company and i get returns from the service that my truck renders, remember I have no single control over who they rent the truck to nor what they use it to carry. Now if eventually they (haulage company) gets catch transporting cash using my truck how am i to be held responsible when I have no control on what the truck carries and where it goes.
