Good deed.... to say person try stop the mob from lynching, the person for be victim of lynching too....but what would have happened to them if the police station was far off or there was traffic gridlock? definitely roasted alive |
Nice, see a country with her citizens life as priority, who values infrastructures on ground rather than them being destroyed...in Nigeria, GEJ n others would prefer letting Nigerians die as in the case of boko haram in the north, they would prefer looting the money, they would value looting funds over human life |
kendrick93: must u show ur stupidity everywhere? wise upThere is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise |

APC calls for international inquiry to unravel Boko Haram sponsors, modus operandi" - by: Lai Mohammed - July 12, 2014 The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called for an international inquiry into the activities of the terror group Boko Haram in order to unravel its modus operandi and sponsors as well as any individual or group that may have links with the insurgents, with a view to ending, once and for all, the debate over who is behind the insurgency and also to facilitate efforts to tackle it decisively In a statement issued in Lagos on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the inquiry should include intelligence experts from the US, UK, France and Canada, as well as representatives of the UN and Nigeria's neighbours Cameroon, Chad and Niger. It also said that representatives of the Nigerian military and other security agencies, especially the police and the Departments of State Security, Governments of the states worst-hit by the Boko Haram insurgency, including Adamawa, Borno, Yobe, Kano, Bauchi and Jigawa, the Federal Capital Territory, the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Civil Society Organisations, the Nigeria Labour Congress, the Trade Union Congress, National Human Rights Commission, the Nigerian Bar Association and any other relevant individuals or groups. APC said major political parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress, must be represented on the panel of inquiry, whose findings must be made public and those found to have any links with the insurgents be made to face the full wrath of the law. ''We hope the PDP-led federal government, which has led the incessant but baseless campaign to point accusing fingers at the opposition, especially our party the APC, will give its total support to the immediate constitution of this international panel of inquiry. We have no doubt that the international community will give its unalloyed support to this inquiry, in view of the trans-national nature of the insurgency and the threat posed by terrorism to global peace and security,'' the party said. APC added: ''On our part, we pledge our total support for this inquiry anytime it is launched, but hopefully very soon. Our party, which is barely one year old, has been at the receiving end of diversionary, carefully-choreographed and blatantly irresponsible point-blank accusations as well as insinuations of sponsoring Boko Haram, not minding that the group's activities date as far back as 2002 when there was no APC. ''These accusations and insinuations have become so virulent and have indeed reached a level where one begins to wonder whether those behind the finger-pointing are actually trying to divert attention from their own culpability and whether they have even more sinister motives for their finger-pointing. ''Whatever their motives are, let the international inquiry we are seeking be launched urgently and let the findings be published for all Nigerians to see. Anyone opposed to this call for an international inquiry will have a lot of explanations to make to Nigerians as well as to the international community. ''Enough is enough. The daily killing, maiming and abduction of innocent Nigerians, as a clueless Federal Government looks on, must end. The pervasive insecurity that has crippled Nigeria since this insurgency started must be halted. Those behind it must be unraveled and prosecuted. Let the inquiry begin!'' Alhaji Lai Mohammed National Publicity Secretary All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos, July 13th 2014 |
Why e take you so long to claim responsibility? If true I hope the clueless, confused and heartless man called GEJ will take necessary action n prevent more attacks in new states or locations |
sarutobie: the churches should provide free education from nursery to university and your government does what? why not allow the churches to run the government as well...churches are providing education to university level but you say it is too costly...just because you get subsidised education from the government's igr from oil, agriculture etc? The churches I know open boreholes, run orphanages, sponsor students in schools. some say " but I will rather give the money to the poor and beggars" but in reality, they NEVER do even that! how many of you even know the interior colour of the orphanage homes in your community? the prisons nko? the hospitals? when mary magdalene poured expensive perfume on the feet of jesus and cleaned it with her hair, judas protested saying the same thing most of you say "why waste such a perfume, it could have been sold and the monies given to the poor"..but we all know judas was a crooked fellow....Do you know how much the church has in its bank accounts? Most if not all churches have accounts in almost all the banks, they are fixed, they earn interest, yet they still tax members when they want to embark on a new project, i have never seen a church which announces a new project and tells its members, we have money, we don't need your money to embark and complete the project... what happened to the accumulated funds which members have been paying as offering and tithes over the years? Do you know how much are in pastors accounts? I I know of pastors and churches who haven't touched their monies for over two years, I'm talking about hundreds of millions, some billions, what jobs/business do they do that would earn them such? Apart from a few who are into businesses or day time jobs, even at that, such monies aren't meant to be in their accounts, some will claim its gift by members, one who preaches and is affluent already, what is he/she supposed to do with such gifts? Give it out to the needy and not stack them up to compete amongst themselves, business men or state/local governments in terms of earnings |
Djangocode: For y'all talking about summary, better skip to the next thread.. Personally, I wonder where tithe money goes.. Imagine I make a billion, my tithe is a hundred million.. Where does it go to?? Pay pastor's salaries? Build expensive church branches? Acquire more personal luxury? Build expensive universities where 80% of the members can't afford for the fees? Maybe someone should enlighten me..I tire honestly, if churches were giving back to the society by providing free education from nursery, primary, secondary schools, if possible university as well, set up free job vocational centres, welfare homes..... they rake in millions if not billions from offerings and tithe payment monthly yet nothing to show for it except lavish personal lifestyles of church head pastors and senior pastors, private jets, exotic latest cars...I would understand the emphasis for tithe payments |
