GCMS notes takes longer time. Cbsa notes might be better. The person I use most time,have always delivered for me.But I don't know the time frame now for Cbsa notes and GCMS notes.

Yea number discrepancy almost always costs you your appointment, cos they'll refuse to attend to you and you'll have to go schedule a fresh appointment.
Best way to get around this is this:
Carry both copies along.
To ensure there's no mismatch, take the original form.
To ensure the form is up-to-date, take the updated form.
Whichever one works for them, it will be up to the Visa Officer to decide. But you would have played your part in meeting every possible requirement.

Secondly, the point of IW is to eliminate the need for in-person interview. She doesn't have to show up.

I need some help please. I just booked an IW drop off date for mum and found out that she needs an updated DS 160 form since hers was filled in June 2022 and the form is supposed to be at most 6 months old. My question is this: if i fill out another form it will have a different number from that on her appointment confirmation. Will this be an issue? Also, does she have to appear in person for the submission or can i do it for her? Thanks

the Canadian government website. It has two types of request: Access to Information Act and Privacy Act.
Access to Information Act costs $5CAD; but PRIVACY ACT is FREE. Go through Privacy Act

Choose the Canada border service agency (cbsa) option is faster than gcms .. under privacy act just choose cbsa option and u will get ur note in 3-4weeks

I have been to the US severally, the last being October 2019 shortly before Covid-19. My Visa just expired in 2021. This is in addition to being a regular visitor to UK, France and other countries
Yet, my visa is still pending since July, 2022. See, there are no rules to this thing. Just pray for luck

No medical instructions nothing nothing. I refresh my email every 30 minutes now hoping for a good news. Nothing.

I think you should engage the embassy before going on any Thursday to understand why an assumption was made you have the intention to seek medical treatment. This is important as they wont approve any B class visa for birth purposes right now. Only other medical reasons.

B2 is not in error if you intended to go for vacation or tourism.

Your previous visa would have been either B1 or B2, not both, BUT the embassy annotates it as B1/B2 on the printed visa. In the system, it's either or, and not both.

If you can send an email or if there is a ticket support system, do that first.

Your application also wasn't refused. Otherwise, you wouldn't be asked to come with documents. A refusal doesn't give you an opportunity to come back any Thursday of your choice (VIP moves), so no predicament yet.

If you are unable to engage them, or will rather not, then go on a Thursday of your choice and calmly explain you have no medical condition requiring 'medical visa'. Have your proposed vacation or tourism plans in the same breathe and tell them.

All things being equal, you'd be approved.

You need to check your appointment confirmation.
Does it state B1/B2 category? You need to go through your DS 160 application very well. There is provision for category B visa only. I think the error occurred while you were booking an appointment.

You can say that you made an error in your visa selection and that you meant to select B1/B2 category since your travel purpose is tourism. Knowing how those guys think, they will assume this excuse is an afterthought and may tell you to reapply choosing the right category…but it’s still wise to be honest with them. You’ve made a genuine error, stick with that narrative. If you want to start making fictitious hospital appointments, you’ll be digging more holes that can backfire.

Your honesty may earn you sympathy and favor. You can make vacation enquiry in the meantime. Where are you going to visit? Where are you going to stay? How long will you stay? Give specific details when asked. Show that your purpose is tourism and back it with details of your preparation…

I just got my passport back from DHL, I got a follow up interview letter. I don’t have to pay another fee and the document requested for the interview is only my passport but I’ll go with other supporting documents just in case.

If you are looking for IW calender, i think the best way is to get like 12 or more people in a group and some in the group check in the morning hours and report while others check in the afternoon and the rest check at night. This way everyone in the group will have 2 login slots left everyday for when its needed and wont have to waste your 3 daily slots and get your account frozen.

if you find this idea a good one then please lets do it.
