@faithin9ja

You and @justdumb need more self education about how the world works - and I also recommend a big hug cool Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery because not everything is black or white - the truth is always somewhere in the middle. Maybe, you need to start reading western forums and online blogs to see how the so-called "oyinbos" you adore really feel about you.

I'm out! cool
Politics › Re: British And Italian Hostage Killed In Birkin Kebbi by bittyend(m): 9:31pm On Mar 08, 2012
@justwise please be patient with Bityyend, he needs education not insults. He is obviously one of those blacks in the Uk or US who blame all blackman's problems on Oyibo people.

So all this patriotic clap trap means nothing when life is at stake.

So sun of god, bityyend and other so~called patriotic Nigerians wake up and smell the coffee
Please I'm not one of the pseudo-black supremacists that blame "oyinbos" for our problems - I know everything wrong with Nigeria falls on the shoulders of our corrupt leaders. You also can't tell me that multi-nationals like Total, Shell, Exxon Mobil, who act as proxies for Western countries are not part of the problem.

I'm not here to talk about that today - all I'm saying is that Nigerians should stop talking down on Nigeria and Nigerians because of one isolated situation. It's sad but the deaths are avoidable. You can't death with vicious Islamists like boko haram with SAS - using the SAS shows the arrogance of the guy called David Cameron. He talks out of his arse most of the time. And the Nigerian president is also a clueless idiot!

You don't go for a rescue operation against faceless terrorist, you negotiate and dialogue with them - and once you secure the lives of the hostages, you can then go for the kill. The two leaders made a terrible mistake, and they should both come out and accept their fault.

1. The people of Birnin Kebbi queue in the bank to withdraw cash, often there is no cash because the nearest Central Bank is in Sokoto. So you tell the petty traders in Northern Nigeria that they don't need a local branch of Central Bank.
Is that the responsibility of the central bank? If the bank there can provide that - there's nothing a central bank can do about it.

2. When my people where kidnapped in Edo state I would have called on UK, US, Germany even Iran or North Korea to help me and my family as it was we had to rely on the Niigerian Police.
Your people would have been killed just as these two people were killed. Nigeria is a different terrain - and trust me, all those countries can't do zilych.

You are just stupid beyond measure, how do you manage to get around day to day?
Says the dumbest poster on NL, with a screen name "justwise." grin If you're wise as you want us to believe, you don't need to blow your own trumpet - you comments will do the talking. But your comments show that you're as dumb as a rock. Arguing with you is like talking to a damn table. Go play in traffic!!

My commercial drivers have been killed by armed robbers on Sagamu express, my staff have been kidnapped in Delta State, my relatives have been kidnapped in Edo state, so don't tell me about sacrifices.
You've really been through a lot and I feel your pain. That's why we all have to take a stand and fight the power. We need a top-down change in Nigeria, and the time is now.

You got what? Job? That must be selling drug on the street of London.
This is my last reply to you - just because your life is hopeless and you suck at everything you do - that doesn't imply that everyone is like you. I have got a career and I don't need a job, go figure.
Politics › Re: British And Italian Hostage Killed In Birkin Kebbi by bittyend(m): 8:28pm On Mar 08, 2012
Smh. didn't realise I dealing with an outsider, thought you were a patriotic home based Nigerian, you don't know Birnin Kebbi? For your information the 2 foreigners were working as contractors building the new branch of Central Bank in the state capital for a company called B Staballini.

As mentioned above the British government say publically that they do not pay ransomes but instead will risk the lives of their troops to rescue their citizens.

So Mr Bityyend you tell me what sacrifice you will do for your people?
So who are they building the so-called central bank for and how's that going to benefit the people of Birni Kebbi?? I guess the Rothschild - so let them go sort themselves out.

If David Cameron has publicly said "the British government do not pay ransom" - that's his cup of tea, and I'll send him some crumpets via royalmail for a good lunch. This isn't the 19th century and the era of the British Empire where you go about invading other country's sovereignty - you've to play "ball" if you're caught off guard. Play "ball" doesn't mean you're weak (which the UK is right now) - but it will save the lives of innocent people.

Get off lazy backside and go look for job, you are disgracing your self. I blame the British govt who keep feeding lazy loaders like you.
You're an irredeemable slowpoke!! Who needs a job, when you've got a career, huh? FYI, I have never lived on benefit for a day in my life, and I pay my taxes - something I bet you don't do. I bet that's why you feel inferior and have a lot of insecurities.

Go join your red neck, EDL and BNP brothers on dailymail to talk down on Africans and Africa - that bs won't be allowed on NL.
Politics › Re: British And Italian Hostage Killed In Birkin Kebbi by bittyend(m): 8:13pm On Mar 08, 2012
@bittyend it's a tragedy now!!!!!  I thought you sais nobody cares about these deaths. Your utterances are like that of a person who has not experienced life, it's like death is a video game to you. I do not pray for you or anyone in your close family to experience kidnapping, violent death or any such thing. If you did you will call for help from anywhere, you will even ask your enemy to help if your loved one is in danger but now on a keyboard in the safety of your house you will abuse anybody, after all you are not at any risk.
It's a tragedy! But where were you and @justwise when thousands of Nigerians are killed by boko haram??  But the avoidable death of a British guy (I feel for him and his family) has prompted you to talk down on Nigeria and all Nigerians, huh?? Get a life!!

If you can't offer condolences without talking down on your own - then something is definitely wrong with you.
Politics › Re: British And Italian Hostage Killed In Birkin Kebbi by bittyend(m): 8:08pm On Mar 08, 2012
David Cameron should have just paid the ransom. I don't know how SAS would have been able to rescue hostages in a train as difficult as Northern Nigeria - this isn't the Iranian embassy in London smh. And what were they doing in Birni kebbi in the first place?? This is probably the first time I'm hearing that a place like that exist in Northern Nigeria.

You are a waste of space, ''R.I.P the dead''and at the same time you said no Nigerian gives a phuck about the news? You are just a massive fool.
Listen mate, R.I.P to the dead - but you don't expect Nigerians to leave what they're doing because a "white" guy was held hostage in the middle of nowhere - just as no British guy would gives a phuck when Shell was destroying Niger/Delta and the innocent people were dying of hunger.

You are a bloody plonker, who told that i'm British? Why should Skynews be the first to carry the news of Nigerian death? What happened to NTA and other independent news channels in Nigeria? Just get over your confused self.
Is that the best you can dish you, you fake British wannabe. Why should NTA or other news channel be the first to carry the news?? And is that why you have to talk down on your own country and its citizens?? You're dumber than I initially thought, you low-self esteem having son of a cum face slut.

@bittyend  I say 'your' because the person I was responding to was making unnecessary noises about another country's PM,  I also said 'your' because somebody will soon come on to this forum and start calling 'our' President a slowpoke or slowpoke.

My friend we cannot continue to blame the British, Americans, Ghanaians or anyone else for our problems. So insult me all you like but the fact remains the country is becoming more dangerous by the day and our society is continually losing the scantily of life. You may not care that 2 foreigners were killed in your country but what have you or 'our' government done for the Nigerians killed by Boko Haram, MEND, armed robbers, avoidable road accidents, etc.

Unless you are telling me life is cheap, maybe it is to you, but me I value every life, even the 'foolish' Boko Haram lives.
Using "your" for your own country is narcissistic!! There is no harm in saying "our" - because the tragedy happened in Nigeria, and the clueless President is still our President.

You sound like a phucking mug. Why are you so anti-Nigeria on a Nigerian forum?? Too quick to talk down on a Nigerian. I'm more British than you will ever be but I'll never talk down on a Nigerian because that's home, clown.

Nigerians have been dying for months, yet they didn't make the front page on Sky news - 2 people who shouldn't be in the volatile Northern Nigeria in the first place died, so all Nigerians have to start crying, huh? Get a life!!
Politics › Re: British And Italian Hostage Killed In Birkin Kebbi by bittyend(m): 7:44pm On Mar 08, 2012
I hope the Boko Haram also killed the members of British Special Forces involved in the rescue operation.
Grandpa dede, please don't pray for that to happen because many Nigerians living in that vicinity will be collateral damage. Just pray the SAS didn't kill too many Nigerians for the sole British life they lost.

I bet if the hostage was a pseudo-British (black British) - they won't be bothered.

@faithin9ja

Who are you and where are you from to refer to Nigeria as "your"?

If you're not Nigeria, why can't take your stupid story to poundland.com or dailymail.co.uk?!? The honest truth is that, no one in Nigeria cares about this non-story. R.I.P to the dead - but Nigerians could give two fu.cks about this news. If the same British didn't make the North as powerful as it is today - maybe this would never have happened.

Now, crawl back to your hole and change your name to "fathinUKaAaClownB4BnpGetsMe."
Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerians Both Home And Abroad So Unpatriotic by bittyend(op): 7:08pm On Mar 08, 2012
As if our founding fathers were patrotic. The seed of tribalism, greed and sentiments were sown by them.
We can't keep blaming them - they did what they thought was right, to get the British off our back, and they achieved their objective. And we all know they laid a good foundation for the future of Nigeria - until the events of 1966. We must never forget our history, but we also need to move on and look for ways to make our future a better one.

Our founding fathers are all dead and buried - and they're not the ones destroying Nigeria today. We all need to look at the man in the mirror, and take our destiny into our hands.
Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerians Both Home And Abroad So Unpatriotic by bittyend(op): 7:01pm On Mar 08, 2012
People that are barely surviving on less than $1 a day cannot be talking of patriotism. The level of corruption which is more than just stealing money is so high; people want to earn money without working. People do not believe in the principle of accountability or responsibility. Education is becoming more of a sham at all levels so what are we talking about really?
That's more reason why people need to be patriotic and chase the unpatriotic leaders out of the country. Everyone can't keep running away from the country - we need to take our country back and send the unpatriotic leaders to exile or 6feet under. Patriotism means fighting for what you love and for what rightfully belongs to you. Nigeria is our country and we MUST love it - and if we love the country, we'll fight for what is right to turn our lives around.

We've been docile for too long - we must act now. MEND didn't run away, they fought for what rightfully belongs to them - and their situation has improved a bit from what it used to be. Ogoni people fought shell for 14years, and they're better for it right now. If MEND and Ogoni people had been docile - they won't be enjoying the little they're enjoying today - including the 13% derivative they get.

Our Problem is not petriotism, cos' we have tons of the stuff.
We have mentality problem, if only we can do something urgently about it, the other things will fall in place.
We need reorientation, if you like, revolution of our hearts and mindsets.
What is Patriotism to you?
Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerians Both Home And Abroad So Unpatriotic by bittyend(op): 6:31pm On Mar 08, 2012
There are certain qualities of a country that inculcate patriotism on its citizenry. In all manners of thoughts, Nigeria does not possess such qualities and even the national anthem, which is very noisy, can not make me to stand when played at certain ceremonies. In fact, the best I had wished for Nigeria is disintegration.
Since Nigeria (people who have ruled us) didn't provide "qualities of a country that inculcate patriotism on its citizenry" - why can't you start by making a change with yourself, then to your immediate family, and to your community at large? You can take a stand and make a change - and trust me it will rub off on others.

If Nigerian music ( new school) made it cool for Nigerians living in London to be proud of being Nigerian again - I'm sure you can also create something that will rub off on other Nigerians.

@ op, hmmm patriotsm its showing love for ur nation, and when we say showing love,I think is suppose to start frm every1 families,in nigeria today some families had already scattered cos there is no love among themselves, and this love we are talking about is soppose to spread from family to councils to local government to state government and to the federal goverment, now tell me, what is own defination of patriotsm? when money meant to for nation infrastuctures are been share day by day by the so called rulers,e.g we came from abroad and we plan to come and build amuzement park and we went to alausa for approval, omg!!! They asked us we should pay almost #45millions b4 they can approve it,and we had already aquired our land jeje oo,likewise the farm project also,so when government had been addicted to be frustrating citizens efforts to move the nation forward,is that your definition of patrotism mogadishuhuh My brother hear me and hear me well naija can never be ok,its your own life that can be ok in naija, and its by yourself that you will make your life to be ok,so stop day dreaming that naija will be ok,try check history from 1960 till date ,its just been getting worse day by day.1nigeria.
If you really love someone - you will fight with your life to give them the best possible things they deserve. Loving Nigeria equates to fighting with our lives to give Nigeria what it really deserves, and stop plundering this great nation.

@Okija_juju

That was why I called Ken Saro Wiwa an Ogoni Patriot and Ojukwu a Biafra Patriot.

Gani Fawenhimi was not a noise maker - he was more of a MLK with the Law, as his weapon. And Fela fought the power with his music.
Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerians Both Home And Abroad So Unpatriotic by bittyend(op): 6:20pm On Mar 08, 2012
I will give you all quotes from Malcolm X:

"I don't mean go out and get violent; but at the same time you should never be nonviolent unless you run into some nonviolence. I'm nonviolent with those who are nonviolent with me. But when you drop that violence on me, then you've made me go insane, and I'm not responsible for what I do."

"I don't favor violence. If we could bring about recognition and respect of our people by peaceful means, well and good. Everybody would like to reach his objectives peacefully. But I'm also a realist."

"How can you thank a man for giving you what's already yours? How then can you thank him for giving you only part of what is yours?"

"Power in defense of freedom is greater than power in behalf of tyranny and oppression."

"Truth is on the side of the oppressed."

"You can't separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom."

"If you're not ready to die for it, put the word 'freedom' out of your vocabulary."

"The price of freedom is death."

"When a person places the proper value on freedom, there is nothing under the sun that he will not do to acquire that freedom. Whenever you hear a man saying he wants freedom, but in the next breath he is going to tell you what he won't do to get it, or what he doesn't believe in doing in order to get it, he doesn't believe in freedom. A man who believes in freedom will do anything under the sun to acquire, or preserve his freedom."

I'am looking forward to seeing your movement. whatever its for.
It's for a change! Too many poor Nigerians are dying, while the rich are getting richer. Yes, we used to live in mud houses and huts back in the 1900s - but we're not squalor dwellers. The present state of Nigeria is appalling and we can't continue to live like that.
Politics › Re: Why Are Nigerians Both Home And Abroad So Unpatriotic by bittyend(op): 5:51pm On Mar 08, 2012
Yes but for me a PATRIOT is someone who loves his country and faces problems without ignoring bas things, I mean that's the only way to improve, accpet that we're not perfect and in some field we need to improve
Accepting we're not perfect?? I disagree with you there. We're not perfect but we have more than enough to better than squalor dwellers. We've been talking for years now, and things seem to be getting worse by day. It's high time we stopped talking and start acting.

When the fuel subsidy protest was going on, I was very proud to be a Nigerian. I also left everything I was doing to join the protest in London - but we were shortchanged by some corrupt labour guys in Nigeria. We've to change the system by any means necessary. They can't kill us all.

We're all scared of death - yet thousands of Nigerians have been killed in the last one year by boko haram alone. People are dying from poverty, car accidents, violence etc. yet most of us done want to die.

Btw BITTYEND what do you call being a patriot?
A PATRIOT is someone who's really to take a stand and make a change in their country and for its people.

Ken Saro Wiwa was an Ogoni patriot.
Ojukwu was a Biafra patriot.
Gani Fawenhimi was a Nigerian patriot.
Fela Kuti was a Nigerian patriot.
Awolowo was a Yoruba patriot.

Do you get the drift??
