Mr Mustay, please speak for youself o, yes i agree that everyone may not want a website or be on facebook

but the immense potential it has a networking tool is better imagined, its ur loss! (with particular reference to FB)

the websites are not -------- but the marketing that it provides for u if used right & with the right content,

for instance if i had a job that i wanted to do along the line of e-banking products or the likes I wouldnt hesitate to get in touch wth Regina (from wat I have seen on her site and the show, she is good!) or branding, holler at Joyce! at least have a proposal from them who knows they could get the job!
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by Bizl4Rizl(m): 12:13am On Jun 27, 2008
@ Mustay,

U undoubtedly underestimate the importance of having a website. Its not a new dimension, everyone should have one.

Here's BS's own FYI - http://biodunshobanjo.com/bio.html

As for telling them to be on Facebook, there's no need for that cos as u probably dont know, if you are not on FB u are nowhere! Some of them are already there - Eunice, Tunde, Bekeme, Kathleen, Bekeme, Joyce. Just log on and search for them.

I never said that Isaac's relatives where the only ones there, of course the others were there too(u could tell by their geles grin ) but how could you identify them with any particular contestant? cos if u did then u are a GENIUS!
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by Bizl4Rizl(m): 2:19pm On Jun 25, 2008
everything that has a beginning must have an end. . .

Isaac I'm glad u hammered, thoroughly deserved it!

Like he said he is tactfully aggressive - he was being gentlemanly and saying all the right things but when he saw that E was riding him rough, he switched gears & brought his A-game! I absolutely loved the look on her face when the announcement was made.

His wife was absolutely radiant - I was having my suspicions when she was being continually showed to us & I wondered who she was but it all became clearer when Isaac won and she rushed on to the stage to greet her boo.

I am really impressed by all the candidates profiles, they are quite impressive and they will be successful in their chosen paths in life given their exposure on this show as well.

I am waiting to see the Nigerian candidates websites if they do have any, i think taht Eunice will probably have but the others am not sure. see how the others have harnessed the potential in having a website and are publicising themselves and their participation on the show but our Nigerian peeps . . nada! Please anyone who has their web adds pls post them, I will be googling for them right away. They need to seize this opportunity, na once in a lifetime o!

Kudos to everyone! Cheers!

We are all practically deaf

Right from the first light of day, blaring noise from the AHUJA sound system from the neighbourhood mosque, then the blaring horns of the cars in traffic, then the hollering of your customers & co-workers at work, more horns and shouting in traffic, deafening noise from all the generators at nite, more noise from your neighbourhood church evening services!

We are ALL DEAF!
TV/Movies / Re: The Apprentice Africa by Bizl4Rizl(m): 1:56pm On Jun 07, 2008
Well well well

For starters, concerning the airtime thingy from a very subjective point of view I will admit that Eunice & Blessing have probably had more airtime than the odas.

@gatewayman, the issue of saving on a flash was quite complex. according to what I could glean from wat Blessing was saying it appears that the laptop hat they were using was running Windows Vista while the system in the office(or wherever they were going to print) was running Windows 95. Now that scenario creates a very unfair advantage to the other team. What if Blessing did not know how to do the configuration? That situation could have happened to anyone. How can anyone still be running Win95 in this day & age?

Now how many of us can really type 60 words per min? Most of us just hit the keyboard and make sure we get out the documents. If Blessing observed that Deox was slow and they were runnin out of time SHE should have demanded for the laptop and typed out the material and done the typing herself as PM BUT since she was playing for the BR she decided to leave him to it and se it against him.

Yes I agree with you that biznis is never fair.

Now who was telling the truth?

It was really a very messy affair & Bs was just dillydallying. If Blessing was not involved he would have FIRED HER! but now the whole show is messed up, there are double standards involved and no matter the outcome I have lost faith in BS & the whole show!

@BlackPrez, rightly said - u know when BS said I know what to do I thot he was either going to fire both of them or given them anoda task but instead he did NOTHING!

Deox rightly said that Blessing (& Eunice) are always working towards the BR and not the task at hand,I admit that Eunice has impressed me the last few episodes with her change in attitude (more positive-I dont know if thats because she's winning or being more confident).

A lot of allegations & counter-allegations were made & BS did nothing to counter any of them or clarify (what the heck were the cameras there for then?). Strong words were used by Blessing & she was quits unsportsmanlike at the end, It's a GAME! She really has to lighten up (but I no blame her sha me too my head go HOT/STRONG for dat kain prize money!) LOL! but really she was too HARSH/CAUSTIC!

I was impressed with Deox and his fight in the BR but he was fighting a lost battle - against Blessing and the "love" that BS has for her, he was gonna lose! Against any other person (except Eunice) he would have won!

Blessing should have gone because as PM, she did not know anything about the task (see how smartly she evaded Questions from Deox about her knowledge of the task), she failed to show strong leadership, she lacked focus (her eyes were on the BR instead of the task at hand) & was quite vindictive, I wouldnt want an apprentice like that for my workshop! grin

let's see how the rest of TAA goes - Isaac I'm sorry. . .

of all the four i will still rate the ladies higher than the guys. I believe all 4 have got the stuff to varying degrees and can come up with the goods but the ladies have a HUGE advantage cus BS looks at them favourably so ha may allow them to get away with some things that the guys would get fired for
Career / Re: Where And What Is The Best Paying Hospital Or Corporation For Doctors? by Bizl4Rizl(m): 10:08am On Jun 03, 2008
the NMA has actually initiated proceedings on getting a standard pay structure for doctors but its only the federal institutions that heed them, they are not binding on the states & private orgs. thus those ones pay as they see fit,of cus that is hinged on how much they make.

Romance / Re: "i Will Think About It" The Nigerian Female Syndrome by Bizl4Rizl(m): 8:54pm On May 08, 2008
ayeesha:

never ceases to amaze me. had this neighbour who was asked out by a guy in the neighbourhood. as a typical naija babe, she decided to pose a little and told the guy she would think about it. unfortunately for her, the guy was a no nonsense fellow and assumed she was probably not interested. he met another girl who knew what she wanted and promptly agreed. today they are happily married and the other girl that was thinking about it is still lamenting that the other lady snatched the guy from her.

I have a principle - I never ask out a girl twice! Now what I have noticed about Naija girls is that you ask them out and they say, "I will think about it. . ." then when they have thot about it they give you hints for you to ask them again before saying YES! What BULL!

Of course, I wont ask out a girl on my 2nd date with her but after a lot of weighing and studying, I make my move and when I do, I give u an appropriate amount of time (usually 2 weeks) and if no response I MOVE!

This doesnt mean I end the friendship or stop talking or relating with her but I move from being romantic or having feelings to just being PLATONIC! Thats just me! (OF course there are always exceptions to every rule!) grin
Romance / Re: How Long Do I Have To Wait? by Bizl4Rizl(m): 8:49pm On May 08, 2008
Wait! Simple, you have waited for 7 years, whats a couple more? I believe you have something special with this guy that you wont get with anyone else. . . these other suitors, what do you know about them, how long have you known them - the saying "the devil you know. . . " is apt in this circumstance.

I believe you are going thru some bumpy time and its quite natural but note that its just a phase it will pass away.

Work at it, TALK to him (very important!) Things will work out, trust me.
Romance / Re: Dating: Nigerian Vs Western Definition! by Bizl4Rizl(m): 10:29pm On May 05, 2008
LOL!

Is there anything wrong in me seeing a beautyful girl I admire & walk up to her & ask her out for a drink or sumfin. . . its actually all those guys who go about harassing girls for their fone nos on the first meeting, & all those girls feelin' (fine and not so fine)

I believe I should be able to walk up to a girl/lady & ask her out for a drink, and she also reserves the right to refuse. Now I am asking because I am interested in her as a person ( speaking for myself here). I may or may not be romantically interested (you may be laughing but its true) in her.

I'm just blabbing here but e dey PAIN me! grin

Romance / Dating: Nigerian Vs Western Definition! by Bizl4Rizl(m): 10:55pm On May 03, 2008
My people - please what exactly is the definition of DATING? Is there a Western definition and a Nigerian definition?

For instance, cant I just meet a cute girl and ask her out on a date with no strings attached, she agrees and we got out for a movie and a bite to eat & if things went well, we could agree to see each other later on a regular basis.

But what I have seen in Nigeria is boy meets girl, boy asks girl (more like harasses) for her phone number, girl gives in & they start seeing each other and it sort of becomes a long term relationship - the guy wants sex, the girl wants what she can get from the guy. . .

(I am just generalizing here)

So pls help out! Thanks!

Romance / Re: My Girlfriend And I Are Both AS by Bizl4Rizl(m): 8:49pm On Apr 09, 2008
A marriage between two AS individuals have 25% chance of producing a kid with SS, 25% of having a kid with SS, and 50% of having a kid with AS. Thus out of four kids, their is the probability that one will be SS, two will be AS and one will be AA. However these are just theoretical probabilities. In practice, it is very possible that all four can be AA, or AS and even SS since the factors that govern the inheritance of A or the S gene from parents with AS is unknown. Thus marriage between AS individuals can result in all the offsprings having sickle cell anemia (SS) or may result in offsprings with various AA, AS or SS combinations.

Please permit to correct the above notion - its not out of 4 kids that you will have one with SS, it is for each pregnancy.

Let me clarify, with each couple being AS each pregnancy they have (the wife i mean) has a 25 % chance of being SS, so in essence if they decide to have 4 children it is very possible that all 4 are SS!

Pls be warned! All the genetic engineering etc that have been discussed are quite good but they are expensive!and many are still in the experimental phase
