Let me start and finish my project. I need my M.Sc to claim 23 points and 68 points. So next year it is and Canada it is.
Yea, ur ECA is ready, I hope all u need will b to top up for courier. Why you bone OZ?... If the EE is gonna be similar to skills assessment of OZ, why the panic? |

Yea, ur ECA is ready, I hope all u need will b to top up for courier. .....so, I have a quick question. A friend has the ielts General, and is trying to sort out his evaluation. His partner (wife) has the ielts academic. Would she need to do the general? Also, I'm quite familiar with the Australian migration program, and from all indications, the express entry seems to be a direct replica .... Am I wrong? |

bellong: Getting into it was fortuitous..
We do have the resources though not really enough for power generation but can aid in agriculture and other needs if tapped.
I have been useless to geothermal since I returned though.
You are digging deep into oil and gas history... Very nice. so, you planning to go back to school in Aussie? Perhaps Adelaide? Ive been making noise about shale gas too in the past, gave talks at NAPE, and people just simply ignored me lol..... On this geothermal ish tho....I have been looking it up as a prospective area id like to get involved in. We would definitely talk about this someday..... but before we turn OZ migration page to General Geology discussion.... we better park well lol |

What program is your offer in? I used to work on geothermal systems, I can see that Adelaide has geothermal program.
Thanks Oh, nice.... How did you get yourself into that lol....Id guess thats not within the shores of niger area. Mine is on burial history modelling, resident in the pet engineering department..... Part of the research in their shale gas consortium. |

You can use the reference letter you used for the assessment.
Yes, admission will not cut it.
Do you have offer from university in Perth?
I was told my application is undergoing various checks but he doesn't know or can't determine what the checks are. remember I mentioned that vetassess assessment stated that i have over 2 years experience.... as they assessed only 35 months, lol. So the plan is to get an updated letter from work, and submit with payslips...just to be on the safe side. I do have an offer with Curtin...but I guess id have to let it go Im sure they would revert in a bit....the window before you get a response is 12 weeks isnt it.... bestaluck |

bellong: Bjay,
You don't need to declare the employment to SA. You can take it out. However, you will have to declare it to DIBP, not necessarily for claiming points.
Finance, you are not attaching anything. Just write amount. I think that its $20k AUD for singles, u can put in above it.
Why you like it...

How many points do you have if you don't include the work experience points?
VET only assesses the minimum required experience. Besides, if it's the same employment as the one that was assessed, then no wahala...you just submit updated references and payment evidence
Besides, your points test advice should assess all your work exp na... Na only academic points the thing show jare... But I think it should be alright |

bossladyMo: Rightly said Thanks, without it, I would have 55, and state nomination would have made it 60, but I included it so I got 60, and now have 65 (5 from state nomination). I will provide evidence from payslips and salary deposits. That should suffice. For the 190, I'm on the SA page, and Dunno if it matter if I cant provide tax returns for one of my employments, same one which not assessed by VETASSESS, or should i just take it out in its entirety? I am also claiming points in job employment?. If you can't provide evidence for some of your employment, either you don't include it, or if you have submitted, you can send them an email for adjustment. God has blessed us with a beautiful baby girl!!! I put to bed a litte while ago!!! Congrats once again @bossladymo. I wonder how you have been able to keep up with the activities on here.... you are one strong babe. @bellong and bosslady....Meanwhile, I realized vetassess assessed less than 3 years of my current job, while I wont be able to claim points for less than 36 months. in their words, they say the applicant has at least two years relevant experience. I need 3 years to claim my 5 points from employment. I started this employment in Sept, 2011, and submitted my application Aug 2014. I sent an email to vetassess to review the situation or advise. What do you think? In my opinion though, Id think since im submitting the EOI in October 2014, the CO should know that I have been on the job for more than 36 months. |

Yea... 190 it is, SA it is..... Gracias. I will keep you posted. Typical case of assumption. I just assumed that geology is on the sol, I didn't bother to check until now. Lesson learnt ..... Never assumedbellong: You can either accept your offer from WA and on completion go to SA to fulfill your 2 year stay rule or you apply for NSW, there are good universities in Sydney with similar curriculum with Perth.
NSW state nomination has been postponed till 22nd Oct. You have time to prepare and apply for it.
Adelaide is the Capital of South Australia.
You cannot apply for 189 because Geology is not on the SOL list. 189 is the best option but you are limited. I wanted Melbourne but then get the grant first and sort out your preference of stay later.
Meanwhile, you are not in jail.....
BossladyMo,
Congrats in advance on the new life... May s/he live to fulfill God's purpose.... |

You are a star, so will the new born be... bossladyMo: You can go for NSW if you don't like SA. NSW has removed the ICT occupations on their list for this round of intakes, so there should be fairness this time around and it shouldn't be filled up as fast as it was the last time. |
Travel › Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by bjayzeez: 10:42pm On Oct 13, 2014 |
Thanks On their website it says 2 weeks... Besta luck. Was SA on medium availability when you applied too? It seems pretty straight forward. can one apply for both 189 and 190. I cant remember if Ive heard something like that before. I have an offer from a uni in WA, and I really like the curriculum. and I know if i do 190 to SA, I will have to live there for a while except I wanna try Adelaide. Thats why I was kinda particular about WA. .... But I think the first step is to "get out of jail" bellong: Geology is only on the CSOL list.
Victoria wants people with about 10yrs experience in the field. Though it is not written on their site but people's experiences point to that fact especially for geology and geophysics.
QLD removed it from 190 and left it for 489.
NSW still sponsors it. I think the next round of application is 14th Oct, I am not sure. NSW fills up within an hour of opening. You have to be glued to your system.
WA rquires employment offer for occupations on schedule 2 which geology is among.
South Australia is the easiest to get. I think you can go for it.
My application via under processing. I guess its been sent for external security check. |

bellong: You can only go for state nomination. Geoscience is not in SOL except for geotechnical engineering.
Mine is Geology... Both geology and geophysics are in CSOL.
Yes, you need employment offer for schedule 2 list. It was what disqualified me for the WA nomination. Bellong.... Sorry the skills assessment is for geologist... I'm used to calling it geosciences. .... So, geology is on both yea? How far have you gone with yours? What's this about schedule 1 and 2, and having an employment?..... Does having a valid admission offer from WA count for anything if going for the state nomination? If I wanna apply now, what schedule would I be on |

Meanwhile in the EOI, " Has the client completed, or is currently enrolled in any studies at secondary level and above?*".....Page 6, do they mean University education? bossladyMo: The bank statements are not for evidence of funds, but they are meant to show salary deposits from your employer, if you are claiming work exp points. They don't care if you have only 1naira as your bank balance. All you do is just print out your 3yrs worth of bank statements, and highlight salary deposits with a highlighter, so CO does not have to go through each transaction...then upload.
For state nomination, soms statss just need a declaration, while some require evidence of funds. I had to show evidence of funds fod QLD, but WA does not need evidence of funds, just declaration.
The points test advice is mainly useful when you are claiming points for work exp gotten more than 5yrs ago...mbut you can still upload it all the same, doesn't hurt. |

well my employer sorts that one out, it shows in my payslips, then, yea, I have bank statements showing deposit too.... does that mean i will submit bank statement, cos a couple of posts ago, someone mentioned that no need to submit bank statement, Just funds declaration. Ive heard that a couple of times points test advise, yea... that they submit it to the embassy or sumthin like that bossladyMo: Me I'm always up for getting out of Naija asap...lol. But it's your choice really.
Once again, ensure you have tax returns documebts and/or bank statements showing salary deposits, alongside your payslips...for work experience.
Do you mean points test advice? |
Travel › Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by bjayzeez: 1:07pm On Oct 13, 2014 |
I believe I have the docs, I will use the same ones I used for the skills assessment. They only assessed the most recent employment, that is less than 5 years, so I might use just that. I started this employment in 2011.....and of course my qualifications. I also have an advisory letter from vetasses....dunno if that helps I prefer the faster tho. .... and I will just choose to get nomination from western, which is where I wanna go... You get me? I will read up, and think about it more and more.... then choose one. Which do you advice tho. bossladyMo: Getting nominated isn't hard at all...I got nominated in 4days by QLD. 189 gives you more flexibility on where to stay in Aus, but 190 is faster. I also got a positive assessment with a Nigerian BSc.
Once you have a positive assessment, and have proper documentation to back up your points claims, and no medical condition, you are guaranteed.
How many years work exp are you claiming?
Hope you have payslips/bank statements showing deposits and/or tax documents, if claiming work exp points? |

dont mind me o, I havent submitted I was busy dancing away in a friends wedding on saturday..... Im working on the EOI at the moment, hopefully make the next one in 2 weeks. I submitted my MSc docs too, from the UK, but Im sure Nigerian BSc only, or BSc MSc would fly too. I intend to apply 189, Im not sure tho. I like the sound of 190, the nomination bit, but someone mentioned that getting nomination may be a little bit tricky ...dunno Nominated occupation is geosciences, available in the SOL and CSOL. I learnt after positive assesment, the chance of things going south is a bit low? Also, that it should take approx 4 months to get it all sorted ... Your 2 cents? bossladyMo: Yay!!! Congrats!!! Nigerian BSc, right? Or did you add masters?
Are you for 189 or 190? What's your nominated occupation?
If you are for 189, you should have submitted your EOI that Friday or on Saturday....invitations rounds were yesterday (Monday in Aus), and you could have gotten your invite now.

hey, I just composed the email to vetassess, should i send it to migrate@vetasses.com, or vetasses@vetasses.com. or both lol bossladyMo: What I mean by corresponding questions is - If it's question 10 you want to change, and question 10 is name of university...when typing the email requedting a correction, just go :
10) Name of University - XYZ
Shey you get? Just send an email to them, with the corrections you want to make, and authorise them to do so. You don't have to call.
I don't know if they grant extensions after the 30day period. I uploaded all my documents in one day, and my transcript got there 2 months after. You will have to ask them if they grant extensions.
Yes, you can still submit attachments. But it's advisable you submit all documents at once, so you don't cause unneccessary delays.
EOI is an entirely different thing...has nothing to do with VETASSESS.
Long and short, whatever work experience you can't get employer reference/statutory declaration for, don't include it. VETASSESS requires just a year work experience in most occupations where the applicant holds a highly relevant qualifications. But if you are claiming work experience points, then you need to get all your work experience assessed. |
