Hello people!
Congratulations to all those with positive results, and those awaiting... God is your strength.
Abeg, I have a friend that submitted his documents through an agent for the old fswp program. The agent confirmed the docs reached CIC on 31st December. However, we haven't heard anything till now. Please, where do u think the problem is coming from ...
Two places I suspect is
He submitted a scanned copy of the ielts results, and he had a 5.5 in one of the modules.
He has since then written another one, with the hope that they would request him to submit another one.
the Times he's called the agents, they say they haven't got a response yet...

Start by assessing your skills with vetassess, then after a positive assessment, you lodge your EOI on the immi.gov.au website. Drop your email, have a lengthy email I could forward to u. For the IELTS.... You may not be able to claim points if less than 7.... apajetura: hello gurus in the house. I am new in this forum and I came here purposely to seek advice. I am working presently as a geologist. Am married and have two kids. I have done IELTS and my lowest score was 6. Please tell me the best way to migrate to Australia with my family legally. I want to kno the process involved and necessary links and addy. thanks |

If your program costs 12k dollars, and you have roughly 16k.... Seems you'd be fine. What a few people have done in the past is to have full years payment, and at least half the second year. But you sound like the program spans for a year... Best of luck ugsams: Please i need advice and opinions especially from those who are already studying or living in Australia.
Let's assume i have a budget of 2.5million Naira and i got admitted to a TAFE program in a regional area with a fee of about 12,000 Australian dollars annually or less which i will have to pay about 6,000 Australian Dollars and balance up the remaining fee subsequently when i arrive Australia.
And i spen't about 400,000 for my air ticket, visa processing and other arrangements such as IELTS, medical, visa fee etc. and i arrive Australia with the remaining balance of about 1 million Naira. Please what are my chances of working to pay my subsequent fees?
Do you think this idea is feasible in any way?
Living prudently, working and ready to work to the maximum limit during the school breaks that we have unlimited work hours (we work 12 hours here in the UAE), do you think i can take care of myself and be able to save for the fees?
Please pardon my rough estimate, i really need to be in Australia but i'm on a very low budget and it has been discouraging me for a long time. I have a feeling that very soon migrating to Australia will get very difficult based on Naija's reputation. I was shocked to discover last year when i went for a business inquiry at Sri Lanka high commission in Dubai that they have some kind of ban placed on Nigerians.
Please i need all the advice and criticism on my circumstance.

Make a fresh booking, and cancel the other one symbian03: Good morning all. I've got a concern using wakanow for booking and would really appreciate inputs especially from those who are experienced about the subject matter. Considering my very limited time frame, I've decided not to put all my eggs in one basket by waiting for IOM deals. I found a great deal on wakanow.com of which I promptly made a booking. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to confirm my booking instantly using a debit card since my account with balance recently had its Master debit card expired so I opted for the bank payment option. But today is Saturday and I learnt that they have 24hrs pre-booking policy which means you can't book ahead for over 24hrs - how correct is this? And lastly my question is; I've got a friend who is willing to let me use his card to make my booking but I can't change the payment method back to Debit card method which means I'd have to make a fresh bookings. Won't my former booking affect the latter?
@bossladyMo @all I need suggestions. Thanks. |

This is in line with the global trend of decline in oil price. Im positive this would pick up soon, and I believe studying in australia would give you an edge when you are ready to dive into the australian labour market. My advise, attend conferences while in school, make sure your thesis is industry focused, and pay attention to the global trends in the industry.: a clue........ unconventional resources (cbm, shalegas, geothermal etc) When you get there and put your ears on the ground...... im sure you'd be fine best of luck cc @ugsams ernestudezi: Hello,
I know Mining Engineers are at a premium in Australia, are Petroleum Engineers in high demand too?? I'm looking to start an MSC in Petroleum Engineering at UNSW, come July. Saw a couple of articles online, insinuating the demand for Petroleum Engineers has dipped by about 70 percent!!..I'd like feedback from folks who know anything about this. Thanks. |

Why do you have to let them know it's part time? If you can make your employer write you a work reference letter stating that it's full time, you'd be fine. Although I don't know what the implications wouild be now that you have gone through the PTA. ALSO, I'd rather use one job rather than two. surecan: Please Bosslady and others, i need your advice especially those who are successful with vetassess. I have 2 jobs in Nigeria one is part time the other one is full time but when i submitted my document to vetassess advisory service, i was advised that my occupation may not get positive outcome from vetassess assessment but now i want to submit the part time occupation, i just want to know if hope that they will not think otherwise. The full time occupation is office manager while the part time is industrial sales representative. |

why not try CPA, ICAA or IPAA. I think a few internal auditors have complained about VETASSESS and accounting! Also, you dont have to wait till June.8, 9, and 10 Years experience fetches you the same points....15 points. I stand corrected though. Depending on your uni, transcripts take a while before they get processed. IELTS Results too take about 14 days from the exam day... so you might wanna start the background works. i.e register to write the ielts asap Good profile you got, Bestaluck mclarry: Hi all,
I'm new to the thread. Have read thru and found it very interesting, helpful, & inspiring. I have aspirations as most of us do in here and congrats to all who have recorded successes in one way or the other. I'm aspiring towards subclass 189 or 190. Counting on your experiences as regards to vetting my lil profile below:
Nominated occupation: Internal Auditor Assessing Body: VETASSESS (Waiting till June to complete 9 years of experience before applying) Qualifications: BSc Accountancy 2003, ACCA Certificate in international auditing 2015, Member Institute of internal auditors - Nigeria(certification in view) Years of Experience: 8 years in same organization, (June 2015 will make it 9 years.) Documents: Will be as required on VETASSESS website.
From above, what are my chances of a positive response on a scale of 1 - 10? Thanks for anticipated response(s). |

well the Nigerian post to the western countries take about 3 weeks so I'd reckon the wait could be in that region too.... However, I wouldn't hold my breath knowing how disorganized our postal service can be sometimes .... Hope it comes soon. An alternative thing may be to get ACRO to send it to a friend of yours in the UK. I think it's 20 pounds to send additional copies if wothing a certain window... Not sure of the details now, pls check. Then you can get your friend to scan and send to you. izykvision0: Hello all,
Pls has any1 here received UK police report sent to naija via normal post? It was dispatched Feb.20 and still not here. Even checked the post office in charge of my area and notin dere as well. Pls aw long do i have to wait?

Same docs you used for your skills assessment. Details would be on your eoi page once you log in gnykelly: @ bjayzeez my questions may look absurd can you please help list what I will have to get before submitting EOI for 190 and what is the visa price estimate. thanks |

Bellong do you know how to go about getting this 3 month course sorted? Any lawyer in the house ? bellong: Are you applying for a 489 Visa?
Bjazeez,
The law graduate must first be admitted to practise by any of the States as a Lawyer. The process is a little bit long because it includes minimum of three months course before being admitted.
S/he can apply for the Canada Express entry Visa as a paralegal person. It is cheaper and faster. |
