Exactly.

We know all these politicians, and sadly a sick PMB is better and still holds more intergrity than them.

Its a dilema

Crime › THROWBACK (3): The Great Oil Robbery Under Diezani Alison-madueke by bkool7(op): 6:54pm On Sep 09, 2017
This story is being reprinted with permission
from NEXT which remains its appropriate

Just two days before the federal cabinet dissolved to allow President Goodluck Jonathan appoint a fresh one in recognition of his new electoral mandate, officials in charge of our oil and gas resources secretly signed a deal assigning production rights in at least two large oil blocks to a shadowy company with no prior experience and no fixed address.

Under the direction and with the approval of then petroleum minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, the officials with a magic wave of a pen effectively transferred hundreds of millions of US dollars – possibly billions – in public assets to private individuals without a public tender.

The deal is in apparent violation of Nigeria’s
Public Procurement Act, which forbids no-tender bids for the procurement of goods and services by any government-owned institution under penalty of imprisonment.

The former Speaker of the House of
Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, has been
arrested and remains in detention in part for
allegedly violating the same law. Mr Bankole faces up to 10 years in prison if found guilty of those particular charges.

The man at the heart of this strange and secretive deal is one Jide Omokore, chairman of a company not yet a year old and which has never produced a barrel of oil. The company, Atlantic Energy Drilling Concept Limited, is the beneficiary of this gift by Mrs Alison-Madueke. For paying to the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, a fully owned subsidiary of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Company (of which Mrs Alison-
Madueke, as minister, was chairman) an initial
“entrance fee” of slightly more than $50 million for each of the two oil fields, Atlantic now has effective control of the NPDC’s 55 percent stake in the oil block. These are rick blocks known in the industry as OML 30 and 34.

Shell, the giant multinational that produces
around 50 percent of all of Nigeria’s crude, is the beneficial owner of the remaining 45 percent of the blocks. Shell had subjected its share of these oil blocks to an open and transparent competitive bidding process, fetching up to $1.3 billion in a single field. By comparison, Mrs Alison- Madueke’s no-bid approach via a so-called “Strategic Alliance Agreement” fetches the federation account an upfront cash payment of little more than $50 million. The true market value, if the Shell approach had been followed, would have been upwards of $1.5 billion.

I have not seen anywhere an individual is held liable for awarding due contracts to Nigerians. Are we saying that for awarding contracts to JB, if JB makes money it would now become corruption? Why would somebody hold Diezani for giving due contracts to Jide Omokore and Kola Aluko? All these stories don't add up. Every Minister for Petroleum gave juicy contracts to Nigerians; are we holding them for corruption because those that executed the contracts are billionaires? EFCC should face somewhere else.
There are procedures to follow for awarding contracts.
You dont just call some ppl and give them contract like its your father's property.
You must make it public and everyone bid for it.
And the companies must have a long history of credible dealings

Remove "due" cos she didnt follow due process

She flaunted every rules in the book

Politics › PDP Will Fight Corruption Better Than APC When We Take Over In 2019 – Makarfi . by bkool7(op): 5:58pm On Sep 09, 2017
Caretaker committee chairman of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmed Makarfi, has said they will not be vindictive, when it “takes over”the presidency in 2019.

Speaking with journalists on Friday in Kaduna,
Makarfi said the anti-corruption efforts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, will be fully appraised “when they leave office”.
He said: “On the issue of corruption, we will be able to assess the APC government when they
leave office. By 2019, when we take over, we are not going to be vindictive. But the truth will prevail.

“Who told you there are no series of petitions
against them as they are in office right now?
When they leave office, we will see what will come up. We will know whether corruption is
something limited to one political party. We are not doing justice to the fight against corruption when we try to politicise it.”
Makarfi added that corruption is not limited to
politicians, saying it is a Nigerian problem.

“Take a look at the private sector, those the EFCC has charged to court, no politician has been tried or taken to court for anything near that. If you try to just narrow corruption to only politicians from the opposition parties, we are undermining the fight against corruption. We should look at it holistically together as Nigerians,” he said.

“I am also referring you to an official governmentreport from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) which pointed out leading agencies or institutions on the corruption index, and they are all public institutions manned by public servants and not politicians.”

Atiku remains my choice for 2019 until someone else takes over.

The moment Atiku declares his Candidacy in a better party than APC, I will set up my media team to tell people about his good and bad sides and let people see he remains the best choice for 2019 as at this moment. Except someone more qualified steps into the game.

As always, I am not biased. Stood by GEJ, and now it is Atiku. My decisions are personal and everyone has the right to criticize them. But it turns out that my choices end up being what the people hope for.
Nobody needs to rebrand Atiku and sell him to us . I know his story from when he ran for Governor of Gongola 1991, president in 1993 when Mko and Kingibe defeated
But the error and merry-go-round he and Obj took us thru for 8 years shall not be forgotten

Some of these former Pdp politicians will bring down Apc before the end of Buhari's tenure.

I just pity consistent people like Tinubu, Buhari , Ogbonaya Onu, Prince Momoh, etc that folded up their party to merge into Apc

Before all former Pdp members are Apc by noon and Pdp by night

Imagine this man excluding himself

See i'm a Buhari supporter perhaps like you but that shouldn't stop us from saying the truth when it stares at us as the case of this woman is. Since she was appointed by buhari, series of curropt charges has been raised against her,and yet buhari does not found those accusations enough reason to relif her her ministerial job. Is that not a sign that she has been loyal to buhari or at least doing fine with her job? If she has been performing well and the president is not happy with her for romancing Atiku, shouldn't Nigerians defend her if the president or the ruling party tries to sack her? Her loyalty to her office and Nigerians is more important to her loyalty to buhari. We shouldn't be blind followers.
The said her loyality is to Atiku. Not Buhari or her office !

Why is she speaking of 2019 so soon ?
If she's loyal to Nigerians and her ministry her major focus ought to be concentrating on the task at hand and seeing it to a conclusion b4 talking of 2019.
She cant be using her Ministerial office to promote Atiku's 2019 ambition. She should resign and go do that comfortably.

If i were Buhari i would have sounded a stern note of warning to all minister and advicers that if any is interested in 2019 politics he/she should resign b4 i found out and sack him/her. We still have an un finishes task

MINISTERS ARE ASSIGNED BY THE PRESIDENT TO SERVE THE COUNTRY AND NOT THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF, so if you will accuse her or regret appointing her from the onset it should be based on the scale of her performance in her ministerial job and not on her personal feud with the president. I still believe in buhari though.
Point of correction

Bihari was voted by Nigerians to deliver a mandate , not ministers
Buhari appoints ministers to assist him in delivering the mandate

Now ,if Buhari feel or its obvious a particular minister is not loyal to assisting Buhari to deliver our mandate ....its up to Bihari to decide.

Moreover Aisha as said her loyality is to Atiku. Was Atiku given any mandate to serve Nigerians?
