In law, there is a crime called "Accessory". It has 2 parts. Accessory before and accessory after fact. There is no way the mother is not guilty of being accessory after fact! All is required is to know somebody committed to crime and not report to the police! Even the father is guilty of being accessory after fact as he disowned the criminal after learning he was into drug trafficking or distribution but didn't report him to Police! It is also a crime to share or receive proceeds of crime if you know the person is a criminal

Every crime has its separate charges . That the father know he's into drugs years ago doesn't mean he knows mean he knows he's into kidnapping.

The the charges here are money laundry, kidnapping and possibly murder .

My father was a pioneer memeber of NPN in my state . The main financials of the party were people like Abiola , Saraki , Akinloye , Akinjide , Dantata, Ekwueme and others I can't recall now . Abiola and some northern player were the major people in NPN that time . Abiola's role in NPN made some people to claim he betrayed Awolowo .
Zik formed his own party NPP which the East embraced

Ekwueme was given the Vp slot to heal the wounds of the avoidable civil war amongst the Igbos so that the party can enjoy some followership in the East . And the East never even gave the party the needed support because they have an eastern party in NPP .

The party even made sure Ojukun returned to Nigeria . And unlike the op claimed , The west gave Igbos back all their properties unlike what happened in the South south .
Ojukun even contested for a senatorial seat in the east under NPN and he lost .
