I have visited Badagry tourist sites, on so many occasions and I can tell all the stories that comes with it but, my mysterious discovery of this shrine was something that still baffles me. Little is known to me about the history of spiritual sites, that holds the history of some indigenous people of this Nobel town, before the colonial era. Possibly forgotten or, never mentioned to any visitors or tourists. I asked myself after leaving. "Is this something the world needs to know, or it's something that, the board of tourism has never desired to be part of the stories that should be told of this town, and has never been part of the experience of any tourist?". I asked a few people in the popular parts of the town, far away from the location of the shrine. I was shocked by the response I got from people. Some of them were even more shocked . Though they know of snake tribes and families, but this particular one, located at "Ajara Topa kingdom" has little or no traces of the history they know. The tour guides I met, were also a little bit ignorant of its exiatence, and has nothing to say about it's history. So what's when I decided to go back and find out myself, what secretes awaits my "CURIOSITY". But, I wasn't sure of what to meet or, how I may need to handle myself, if asked to carry a snake on my neck or, something that may freak my already 'curious and anticipated' body. So, I immediately arranged with and indigine to lead me there. He actually advised we get a gin to offer as gift upon our arrival, which I didn't hesitate. We got there successful and was lucky to meet them in session. The smiles and joy on their face seeing a visitor, seems to like I wasn't the 1st visitor to come around. So at least, I was sure it's not a forbidden place to be. I couldn't wait to ask all my questions and they could tell by the way I looked around curiously. Here how the conversation went: ME: So, mama this is a snake shrine? MAMA: Yes! This whole area & clans, worship this deity & the osun goddess. ME: I thought so' because, your dress looks like that of the osun worshippers. But I have a question because, of people who may wish to visit your shrine. "Is this place in contrast to what we what we see in the movies, and how people get evil charms to hurt other people? MAMA: Never, we can't do evil. As I am here right now, no amount of money you can offer me, will make me help you do evil. ME: AHHH Mama! What if I offer you (10,000,000 000 million naira)? ME: what I'll do is present or pain & hurts to the gods. But will only ask that the true judgment be served to who's wrong. Even if you're the guilty one, you'll be judged accordingly and shall rip what you sowed(especially if you lied). But for me to give your evil aid or charms? " I didn't see my predecessors do evil". ME: Well, Mama. I noticed nobody has come to request any charms from you since I arrived here. Rather, it's been a subsequent request for blessings and prayers. MAMA: Yes! Especially people who have made wiahes, during their previous visit to this shrine, and promises to return with gratitude and what ever pledges they make. ME: That's good. Because, a lot of people believe , that most ahrines like this are visited for evil and wicked purposes. MAMA: No! Our own I wish is progress for everybody that visit or lives around us. There's no evil act of such here!. ME: But mama, this perception or believe that ,you have about doing good against evil. Is it the way your deity wants it to be, or your own personal wish? So I realised the issues with "thick and fleas" won't go away in our society without a joint and collective effort in making our environment "thick and fleas free". Don't bother to ask me "why," if you've never taken the time to make a research about these blood sucking parasite.....Long story short! Am starting a campaign and before I take it to any other platform, I respect the passion and reliance of this forum on "pet". No other platform has pets like "nairalanders". by Amber King The question of whether to use a collar or harness when walking your pup is an important one. It’s hard to resist the limitless colors and designs of personalized collars, but choosing what’s best for your dog should be about more than style. Collars are great for identification and holding your dog’s name tag and registration, but they’re not right for every situation. For many dogs, a harness is the best way forward when it comes to a daily walk. Here’s why. 1. Better Control Not every dog is a perfect angel on the leash. They like to dive after surprised birds, lunge toward dogs they meet on the sidewalk, and make continual efforts to trap the neighbor’s cat. They’re having fun, but that rowdy behavior can also get them into trouble. Harnesses give the person on the other end of the leash better control of an active dog. Instead of trying to steer by pulling the dog’s neck, harnesses direct the dog’s entire body. People with big, rambunctious dogs especially benefit from greater control when walking through busy areas when the dog is extra excited. 2. Discourages Pulling You’re the one that should be walking your dog, not the other way around. A dog’s incessant pulling on the leash can make a short walk down the road feel like an intense upper body workout. If you let them get away with it, you teach them that pulling your arm out of its socket is an effective way of getting what they want. You’re struggling to keep up, but they’re making forward progress. Harnesses discourage pulling by redirecting their momentum. Dogs learn when they pull against the leash that the harness will haul them in the opposite direction of where they want to go. AKC writes, “When your dog is wearing a collar and pulls on the leash, he’s still moving forward, which makes him think the pulling is successful. A harness, whether attached on his chest or between his shoulder blades, redirects him; there’s no reward because pulling doesn’t get him anywhere.” 3. Reduces Neck Strain When your dog pulls while wearing a collar, injury to your arm isn’t your biggest concern. Pulling puts intense strain on the dog’s neck and can easily lead to a serious injury. Many times, these injuries aren’t obvious. It’s more of a gradual deterioration than a sudden pain. Excited dogs are too concerned with what they’re doing to realize they’re actually hurting themselves. The dog might start showing signs of subtle discomfort that are actually early symptoms of a serious problem. Small dogs like Chihuahuas and Miniature Pinschers are especially prone to neck injuries. The bones in their necks are extremely delicate, and one sharp pull on the leash can cause them a lot of pain. Harnesses disperse the strain across a larger area of the dog’s body to protect them from injury. 4. Ocular Proptosis in Certain Breeds In basic terms, ocular proptosis is when the dog’s eyeballs protrude out of the sockets. It’s easy to diagnose, because it literally looks like the dog’s eyes are bulging out of their head and beyond their eyelids. They say, “Brachiocephalic breeds, such as Pugs, Pekingese, Shih Tzu, and Lhasa Apso, are predisposed to protopsis due to their shallow orbits.” Collars are often to blame, but using a harness is an easy way to protect dogs from this painful and dangerous condition. 5. Danger of Escape Artists The general rule for collars is you should be able to fit two fingers between the material and the dog’s body. This is to prevent the collar from being too tight and hurting the dog. Determined dogs, however, know how to take advantage of a comfortable collar. One second you’re chit chatting with the neighbor, and the next your pup is sprinting down the street after maneuvering the collar up and over his head. Dogs with thick necks and smaller heads and dogs that are especially wiggly can easily escape from collars while on walks. This poses obvious safety issues. Harnesses, on the other hand, cover the body and are securely fitted in place. They go around the shoulders, front legs, and chest to make escaping impossible. 6. Respiratory Problems and Neck Injuries Any kind of strain on a dog’s neck has potential to be painful, but dogs with existing respiratory problems and neck injuries are particularly at risk. Extra pressure around the neck squeezes the dog’s windpipe and can make breathing difficult. Many dogs end up having coughing fits as a result of being led on walks by their collar. Tracheal collapse is another chronic disease that can be worsened by wearing a collar. It usually happens in small breed dogs where the cartilage that makes up the trachea is either weakened or malformed. The result is a restricted airway, and these dogs need to wear harnesses on walks to keep pressure off their sensitive necks. To make the best use of a dog harness, it’s important to choose the type and style that’s most appropriate for your dog. There are several options available, and they’re designed for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and training levels. Dogs that love to pull, for example, best benefit from harnesses where the leash is clipped to the chest rather than the back. Reasons for that are ...........he doesn't feel territorially threatened and definitely won't bother , he needs a male and female big as him. If all this thricks doesn't work under 3month of steady mating around . Go for check up and be sure his pennies does not have deformity (continue to mask up avrogadro pear and raw egg at least twice a week during the temptaion and secondly you may need to mount and jerk him yourself for the 1st experience since he doesn't have a clue) |

inception101:1st take the dog for a comprehensive test, then place him on fertile supplementary multivitamins . 2nd try bringing another male dog to mate around him or take him where male dogs are interracting sexually with female.. I helped a friend who had similar problem with his rott for almost 4yrs until we took my dog there to mate other female dogs constantly and within 6months, we had success ( though it may require to help him mount from the start and try jerking him too, as he may be clueless about what to do due to inexperience ) also try feeding him avrogadro pear and raw egg just before the mating process, as this promote erectile functions. But am forced to comment on the ignorant of people and dog owners that fail to invest in training and behavioural life of their wild pets. 1. A dog should never have to leave it's compound or owners territory, even when not locked up. His job is to protect the family and house, not run into the street and even to another man compound. (Obvioulsy the dog is malnourished, not a full breed to determine it's temperment, not even trained to maintain its territory) 2. Since dogs are territorial animals, a well fed dog has no reason to leave it's territory if it finds it the best place to be, unless in search of a more fulfilling territory. 3. Weight Male 65–80 kg (143–176 lb)[1] Female 50–65 kg (110–143 lb)[1] Height 60–70 cm (24–28 in) Coat short, dense, soft, smooth, and shiny Color with and without a black mask : fawns, reds, browns, brindle, piebald, and Irish markings, and cream brindle also black. Haven studied the published features of this large dogs, it's evident that they vary in appearance, anything outside those informations can't be regarded as a boreboel (although even humans have abnormal growth in height and size and becomes inherited through genes into the younger generations ) but all boreboel can't look the same . And trust me a dog can never be right agile with too much weight and that's why it's good to keep a decent weight and size even in case of intruders with experience of dogs, coming with skills to demobilise them 1 Like |

Acheron:the truth is, no dry food company really cares about your dogs health and they hate to hear it.......these dry foods for dogs may be good in a way to build your puppy fatness, what you don't know is it seriously has low slow metabolism rate and often leads to low immune system in your puppy and that makes your puppy very vulnerable to all kinds of health issues (my advise is love your dog enough to mix his diet with cooked meals that are none toxic with vegetables and fruits and try to avoid Maggie or too much |

Jackofall:in the absence of treats, get an old news paper or cut out a piece of material from wood cardboard and place it somewhere that would be convenient for you and your dog. Truth is, after 15-20mins of play or food, your dog will naturally try poop or urinate . so keep an eye on your watch and yoir pup and take them to this point as soon as you notice the accident and while they are doing the toilet ritual, encourage to continue by simply praising them vocally like " good boi or girl, go ahead and do your thing and try rubbing their head and chest after the ritual .........etc This helps as it will allow you to command them later to pee or poop when you want them to as they believe there's love for them after the ritual and trust me, dogs loves "LOVE " MORE THAN WE HUMANS 4 Likes |

Contrary to what alot of Dog breeders think, that soap bath keeps a dog clean or healthy . Pets with Allergies Need Baths! ... You may also have read that you will disturb the balance of your pet's skin if you wash them too much, and their skin will get dried out. The truth is, healthy animals may not need frequent bathing, and over-bathing with harsh shampoos can cause dry skin. |

So My brother it's not about sharing the info, but some of the herbs are rare and difficult to find in the city. Am a dog lover and a breeder with over 15yrs.. But the yrs I have been breeding dogs doesn't even count. cus, I was ignorant about so many things as I only thought my desire to breed a dog, was all I need to have a good dog and healthy one for that matter . I was wrong for almost 9yrs, as I would suffer loss or one major problem with my dogs health and wellbeing (thick and fleas was my greatest challenge ). At a certain stage, I decided to stop breeding alsertian. cus I thought they weren't just the right dogs as they were prone to the attacks due to the nature of their hair and it's maintenance to deal with. So I got a mastiff and it seems I'd found the perfect breed with less coat maintenance, that will probly love longer with me without any thought of death soon due to the numerous chemicals I would have to apply on my dogs under thicks attack in the past. The challenge became worse as I would often notice the attack sooner than I used to do gen I had dogs with longer coats that makes it's easier for thicks to hide. I couldn't even Create time for my dog cus the thick will often give me goose pimples whenever I touch it or see how badly my dog struggle in those conditions........it went on until I lost (Zeus) my most intelligent and loyal mastiff of 4months old. Id thought Zeus would be around forever (Perhaps a couple of years ). Zeus death led me to find a solution or means of treating my dogs from this parasites with less risk of loosing them. Anyway, after learning that thicks can never be extincted from my life, as long as I want to keep a dog, I decided to achieve safety while fighting this hard to die, bloodsucking, dogs best enemy. The battle had begin for me to safe my next dogs life and I had no clues, but after 3yrs of continuous research with numerous trials, as some will proof to work until you discover it does r kill them, but only chase them off the dogs body and they will return after a while of the whole attack on them had worn out. (Too much story ?) Well I found that thicks have an enemy too, naturally created for them by nature itself without the use of any chemicals, and does justice I desire to my dogs skin health and ha e decided to share with only breeders with great love and understanding of what it means to have a risk free thick destroyer and skin repaired enable substance. Even the procedure required to tap the natures richness is overwhelming to think of having do much quantity to go round for everybody as I can't afford to build a factory.
