Nairaland / General / Re: Nigerian Killed In Malaysia (Video) by BlackEbony(m): 9:03am On Apr 02, 2013
dhan_mccoy: RIP. The English in that blog post sef, it looks like it was google-translated from Malaysian.

Yes I think it was Google-translated to English from their local language my brother. RIP Solomon may God grant your family the strength and courage to carry on after their loss, its truly a sad story while these people come here (Nigeria) and enjoy the best of everything even protection but they allow natives(locals) to kill our citizens on their land with ease, I think our government should review our bilateral relations with such countries to avoid future occurrence of these ugly trends...I sincerely hope and pray the appropriate authorities have taken note of this??
Politics / Re: $650m Abuja Medical City Planned By FG by BlackEbony(m): 9:50am On Feb 14, 2013
Its a laudable achievement if it could be implemented although we know that our challenge in Nigeria is never implementation of such 'ginormous' project but maintenance of such; I sincerely hope & pray it wouldn't turn out to be another 'white elephant' cum 'black hole' project as is the practise from time......I guess we would have to wait and see the outcome!
Education / Re: OAU Rated As Best University In Nigeria by BlackEbony(m): 10:33am On Feb 12, 2013
talktimi: grin I met a 2:1 economics graduate of OAU while in camp who told me the 25 billion naira recapitalization of banks embarked upon by ex CBN chief Charles Soludo was for the procurement of ATM machines and security doors... Hehehe

Are you quite sure this fellow in question isn't a returnee from outside the country who came for his youth service and has no intention of remaining here after the program hence his inability to pick up knowledge from here
Education / Re: The Polytechnic, Ibadan 2012/2013 Admissions. ND/HND by BlackEbony(m): 12:56pm On Sep 07, 2012

Please explain to me which category the question which you quoted as being 'silly' belongs to?? Please lets not use this forum to bring down or to insult people or organisation but to help others reach the level they ought to be; if you can't answer any of their test question(s) that doesn't make it or them non sense does it?

Celebrities / Re: Emeka Ike Sleeping With A Love-peddler by BlackEbony(m): 2:39pm On May 24, 2010
Honestly I really don't understand what this guy is talking about here? there is no cohesion or comprehension in this story of yours my brother, you better be very careful so you don't get a libel suit hanging against your head because of this story of yours which you can't prove beyond reasonable doubt.
Celebrities / Re: Mike Ezuruonye's Traditional Wedding Photos by BlackEbony(m): 10:34am On May 24, 2010

Romance / Re: How Do I Get A Naija Boy To Love Me? by BlackEbony(m): 10:24am On May 20, 2010
show him you care a lot about his origin
show him you love him despite the 'not so favourable' publicity that trails his origin
treat him with respect all the type,
stand up for him anywhere especially among your peers and family
learn to cook his native meals, be strong for him whenever he wants you to
let him take the lead when he should
let your love making truly be loving
learn to live with faults
appreciate him even as he appreciates you,
Business / Re: Bank Marketers, Are They Trying To Seduce Me With Romance Or What? by BlackEbony(m): 10:47am On May 19, 2010
Guyz easy on him (Odiaero) ok! I think he was just trying to get cheap publicity which is what a lot of people like him look for in forums like this, I suggest we let him continue drooling in his fantasies.

TV/Movies / Re: Is The Ghanaian Movie Industry Making Any Improvement? by BlackEbony(m): 11:53am On Mar 13, 2008
I have had the previlege of seeing movies from both sides, and I must confess they both have their different styles depicting their different cultures or way of life, but you can't take simplicity, originality and down-to-earth nature away from the Ghanaians, we on the other hand are like the 'hollywood' of Africa with our various weternised movies as if we are no longer Africans, we must learn to be ourselves in our movies and not make believe we see in our movies showing very little of our culture.
Family / Re: Visa Lottery Reveals Wife's Infidelity by BlackEbony(m): 4:56pm On Mar 10, 2008
Truly its not an easy decision to make but since its bothered on infidelity then I guess I don't have any choice than to allow her go, its really sad that she could keep such a thing hidden from me her husband for such a long time, she has succeeded in devastating our (me, children and herself) lives, I can only pray for her forgiveness. Its really painful things people do to fellow humans!
Culture / Re: Can A Nigerian Man Be Happy With An English Wife? by BlackEbony(m): 11:38am On Feb 12, 2008
Am truly happy for you taking that bold step learning to cook his native meals thats a big plus for you I guarantee his immediate family would love you dearly for it everything else would fall in to place as time goes on, though I tend to agree with one of the posters here that you are inflicting injuries on yourself by thinking whether he 'would keep loving you till the end of time' just keep showing him that unadulterated love also cast your mind away form such thoughts and you would have a wonderful marriage till death do you both part!
Celebrities / Re: Robbers Attack 2face Again: Take Jeep by BlackEbony(m): 8:35am On Feb 08, 2008
Honestly I think the guy should invest in the best security that human race has ever had which is babaGod! we might be ignoring the real cause of these attacks but only God knows where & why they are coming on this young man, so my best advise to him is to examine his ways and turn to his maker for the ultimate security, no amount of money he spends on human (man-made) security can guarantee his safety except God wills it, it cannot happen! So 2Baba a word is enough for the wise o!
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Ghana: Can We Beat The Host Country? by BlackEbony(m): 10:10am On Feb 04, 2008
Its a just results I have said earlier on this forum that we (this team) are not 'hungry for victory' hence this outcome but I would suggest Nigeria to allow the boys (& coach) to remain together in order to concentrate on the upcoming world cup campaign because any change in this team might lead to lack of understanding among the team and we all know there's little time for proper preparations! So better luck next time guys!
Romance / Re: How Will You Spend Your Val Day? by BlackEbony(m): 11:32am On Feb 01, 2008
Don't think it would be much fun (for me at least) because its a working day but the weekend should be a compensation for it, although I would be in class on saturday and my sundays are suprisingly faster than any other day. Hey! please don't compare mine with yours ok,  guys if you can, go all out and have a lot fun but remember its a time for sharing love and also not forgettiing the main message, 'AIDS IS REAL' so protect yourselves don't be carried away by the passion of the moment. Que la pases bien! (have a good one)
Sports / Re: First Round Match: Nigeria (2) Vs Benin (0)! by BlackEbony(m): 12:02pm On Jan 30, 2008
Yeah right! as if we deserve the victory we got, honestly I was hoping we would come home (crash out) at this stage of the competition so that we would learn our lessons the hard way which seems to be the only way for us to shape up if you had fully observed or followed our matches from the beginning you would notice that our boys did not play those matches as if we needed the victory although am not a professional football player I couldn't help noticing certain things our boys did in those matches which ordinarily their peers in other teams would 'apologise' to their citizens for doing, take for a example a 'professional' earning his daily bread playing for a highly rated club finding it difficult to trap the ball or make an accurate pass, I tell you its indeed a big shame, hence my statement that its better for us to crash out at this stage in order to avoid any bigger embarassement which we might likely face if we proceed to the next stage to meet with tougher teams who apparently are showing 'our boys' that they are there (nations cup) for the trophy, best of luck to the boys as well as the bench because we would need more than that to progress in this nations cup judging from what we had displayed so far.
Celebrities / Re: Nigerian Celebrities Who Are They Dating by BlackEbony(m): 10:56am On Jan 16, 2008
Lets face it all the noise created by denials and counter denials by our Nigerian artistes about their dating relationships is what really keeps the entertainment industry thoroughly entertained, informed and educated and I respect anyone's privacy, should the person decide to keep it private but I know one thing for sure once you decide to be a 'celebrity' you have automatically become a public figure no longer private! So guys (Nigerian artistes) date yourselves as much as you want you are only interracting in your social community ok! And do not forget to make it last if you dont want too many eyes analysing you critically anywhere you might find yourself.
Religion / Re: Lovemaking After Traditional Wedding Only: Is This Fornication? by BlackEbony(m): 9:56am On Jan 16, 2008
No its not, depending on your stand point, first of all if you as a person decide to have your marriage solemnized by the traditional institution (blessings from the bride's parents or their proxy) only your choice, that is ok but if you decide to take it further to the church after the traditional rites had been performed fine also, I can liken it to the different stages of ICAN or any other professional exams if you decide to stop half way you would get a certificate for what you have done & passed and if you decide to take it all the way to the end you would equally get a certificate but one is highly regarded than the other, I submit to you that the most important thing in a marriage is the approval or blessings of the parents of the bride or their proxy in the case of the demise of both parents thank you, gbaaaam! shikena! o pari!
