alot of knowledgeable christians know that old testament tithing is being misconstrued by pastors who use the scripture to extort from their flock..

tithes in the old testament is very different from todays tithes and even christ preached voluntary charity to the poor but today some churches make it compulsory 10% money given to pastors.
