People sometimes ask me:

"Why don't you accept Christianity, Judaism, or any other religion? Why Islam?"

My answer is not based on emotion, culture, or family tradition.

It is based on what I believe is the strongest explanation of God, revelation, and the purpose of life.

I believe God must be one, absolute, eternal, self-sufficient, and unlike His creation. A perfect Creator does not depend on anyone, is not born, does not die, and is not limited by human nature.

That understanding is expressed clearly in Islam:

"He is Allah, the One... There is nothing comparable to Him."

This is the foundation upon which everything else rests.

I respect Judaism for preserving belief in one God, but I do not believe God's guidance ended with one nation or one community. If God sent prophets throughout history, it is reasonable that His final message would be for all humanity.

I respect Jesus (peace be upon him) as one of the greatest prophets of God. However, I cannot accept the claim that he is God or the literal Son of God.

If God is eternal, He cannot begin to exist.

If God is all-powerful, He does not need to become a man to accomplish His will.

If God is immortal, He does not die.

These are not insults toward Christianity. They are questions I believe deserve careful reflection.

Islam preserves what I see as the consistent message of every prophet: worship God alone without partners.

Adam.

Noah.

Abraham.

Moses.

Jesus.

Muhammad (peace be upon them all).

Different prophets, one message.

Another reason I chose Islam is that the Qur'an repeatedly invites people to think, reflect, observe, and reason. Faith is presented as something strengthened by evidence and contemplation, not by abandoning the intellect.

Islam also teaches that every person is responsible for his or her own deeds.

No one inherits another person's sin.

No innocent person carries another person's guilt.

Every soul stands before God accountable for its own choices.

That understanding of justice resonates deeply with me.

Islam gives me direct access to my Creator.

I do not need an intermediary to ask for forgiveness.

I do not confess my sins to another human being.

I raise my hands, and I speak directly to Allah.

Islam also provides guidance for every aspect of life: worship, family, business, charity, justice, honesty, and compassion.

It is not merely a set of beliefs; it is a complete way of life.

History also strengthened my conviction.

Muslim civilization produced remarkable contributions in mathematics, medicine, astronomy, chemistry, optics, architecture, and philosophy while remaining rooted in belief in one God. For me, faith and reason are not enemies.

Choosing Islam does not mean I hate Christians, Jews, or followers of any other religion.

I believe sincere dialogue should be based on evidence rather than insults, and reason rather than emotion.

Every person has the freedom and responsibility to examine their beliefs honestly.

After studying, questioning, comparing, and reflecting, I became convinced that Islam best preserves pure monotheism and provides the clearest understanding of God, revelation, morality, and the purpose of life.

That is why I chose Islam.

Not because I inherited it.

Not because it is easy.

But because I believe it is true.

May Allah guide every sincere seeker to the truth, increase us in knowledge, and keep us steadfast upon His guidance.
