If you very lucky u can get someone with an old stock hu can sell for u @ 28 ( A dealer that bought the shock Abs b4 dollar hiked to #214) But the safe bet would be to go with about 30-35k.
I don't know u but I would advice u as ma brother...pls instead of buying tokubo, buy China or better still buy original if u can afford it.Lots of fraudulent bizmen nowadays,If u go to Onitsha n Nnewi etc and see where second hand n damaged shock Abs are being refilled with gas and resold as "toks" u might weep for Nigerian car owners. Not saying there are no genuine Toks Shock Abs but the market has been flooded with too many fakes so ur chance of finding good toks might be slim if not impossible.
Thanks for the head up, how much does China cost? If the difference is marginal, ild just manage and buy original

What car is that?
adanny01:
In my car, if i unplug the connector from the seat belt latch, SRS light comes on permanently. So i believe there is a relationship there too.

Hey house, I've been having problems with my 2005 corolla AC.
It cools well when I'm speeding but stops cooling when in traffic. I changed the condenser that was leaking, serviced compressor, refilled the gas and rewired the fan to start working when I turn on the ignition. It still hasn't changed and I noticed it now consumes more fuel.
Please advise
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by blackfm: 10:00am On Feb 04, 2015
The SRS light is actually on so I guess the sensor is fine. Its just a matter of replacing the airbag
adanny01:
In my opinion a replacement SRS is an easy fix as long as the replacement is not expired. The drivers side seem to be plug and play while the front passenger SRS is not aesthetically easy to fix in most recent cars. One may have to buy a whole dash complete with an undeployed airbag. Besides, the SRS warning light is there to tell if there is a SRS system malfunction or not.

Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by blackfm: 7:51am On Feb 03, 2015
Normally I wouldn't purchase an accidented car but I know the previous owner and also know the extent of the damage when the accident happened. It was a passenger side impact at a T junction which took out the bumper and headlamp with little damage to the vehicle frame and these were easily replaced. I wouldn't have dealt if the damage was extensive.
lomomike:
I would personally advice against one buying a car with deployed airbag(s). The crash was not a minor one for the airbag to had deployed in that car. The impact had reached the pre-programmed threshold for the computer system to deploy. Check the vehicle frame where the impact was near the airbag crash sensor. Oh sorry, you've purchased it already, medicine after death is what I'm offering.
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by blackfm: 7:39am On Feb 01, 2015
It deployed in an accident d previous owner had, it minor one though. He replaced only the driver side airbag.
uboma:
2) Just curious to know what happened to the current front passenger airbag?
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by blackfm: 7:36am On Feb 01, 2015
Bless you sire. I changed the serpentine belt. Its as quiet as a sleeping baby now.
My check engine light is on now though. What do I have to do?
GAZZUZZ:
Remove serpentine belt use ur hand to roll the components driven by the belt, if you find any that are wobbly or stiff or make a funny sound when rolled then you have found your culprit. If nothing is amiss, replace belt
Car TalkRe: Registration And Licensing Of Your Motor Vehicle Now at your doorstep by blackfm: 7:12am On Jan 31, 2015
Hi, I recently bought a register 05 corolla and was stopped by police last week. I came down confidently only to be extorted for not having CmR. The seller didn't give me this and he can't seem to come up with it. How do I go about getting this document
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by blackfm: 12:45am On Jan 31, 2015
I have a similar problem. But my car is a 2005 corolla. Mech said the roller is faulty and need to be change. Quoted 9k for that but I'm not sure that's the correct diagnosis. Please advice
Cvesta:
my camry kips making one loud annoying sound especially very early in the morning or when it has been left idle,SOUND stops only minutes after engine starts running or say 200metre plus...i change timing belt that had flattened and sound stopped for a few days...but with every passing day it coming back and gradually increasing its duration...sound equally creeps up a little when i decelerate esp when am moving pretty slow
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by blackfm: 9:21pm On Jan 27, 2015
I recently bought a registered 2005 corolla. the seller told me there were a few problem to be fixed.
1. The AC: I filled the gas and observed that when I'm moving fast it works fine but stops working when I'm in traffic. I'm not sure what the cause is

2. How much does it cost to replace front passenger airbag for the 05 corolla

3. The right wheel makes a Lil noise when I move and when I apply brake, a mech said it's the roller that has to be changed. Please advise if I should proceed with that.
4: the time on the dashboard does not work. Please assist with price of a replacement.

Thanks.
NB: it's my 1st car so I'm kinda green in these affairs

CareerRe: ACCA Or ICAN: Which Is Better? by blackfm: 10:16pm On Jun 16, 2013
Hey guyz, i actually took my time to go through all the pages on this thread and its been super informative however, I'm kind of in a tough spot regarding choice of which body to go with. I'm a banker, still in my early 20s with a Bsc in accounting. Considering the time crunch that comes with bank jobs, i was favoring the idea of writing ICAN first since i'll only write the professionals and dt would avail me oppurtunity for exemption from ACCA foundation papers after. As of right now, i can't say i nurse ambitions of working overseas or otherwise (I'm taking time to see how things go). I just want to seek advices on which to commit to right now and i want to take a diet of either one b4 the year runs out. Thankx
