I have a situation please, my radiator cap was opened for top up this morning an I forgot to cover it after. The car was driven from ajah to Lekki and back for church. Was heading to the mainland frm ajah about 1hr ago when I noticed the temperature gauge was in the red zone so I parked. That's when I saw I didn't replace the radiator cap and its lost. I topped up with water and continued my trip keeping an eye on the temp gauge. The gauge was in red again when I was on carter bridge but it went back to normal while I was looking for a safe sport to park. Same thing happened like 4 times before I got to home. What does the gauge fluctuation mean? Should I be worried?
NB: radiator cap will be replaced tomorrow

FRSC comman comment please. I didn't go to driving school but common sense tells me that 2 should go first since its not turning and probably won't be slowing down followed by 2 being traffic on the left and 3 last. I'ld appreciate a definite answer with supporting documents.

This issue is relative with a lot of variables such as status, geography and income so u cant just put a % to it. A single guy can make do wit a self contain or miniflat which is valued at about 300k in lag whereas same will cost 150k in ibadan. A married man with kids has a diferent space need and so on. My formula is this, ur expenses for the monthly( after breaing the ones paid one off like rent into months) should not exceed 1/3 of ur income. 1/3 of it should go to savings while the other 1/3 should service your debts and go into short term investments.

Good afternoon. Please i need help on my ac issue. This car has ac issues, first my dad tries to fix it and it would work for a while and stop, they changed compressors and other parts, still the sane story . He gave up. I collected thr keys a while back and after driving in Lagos sun, u realised it was time to try to fix it. Went to an ac guys place, he filled with gas and tried it out, h3 said there was a blockage, they cleared it and it did not work. On driving home that day, i decided to put it on and upon acceleration it got cold. Went to him the next day, he said the compressor and expansion valve needed to be changed. We did and the ac worked veryyyy well for a week until this morning. I have been reading on possible causes online and i am definitely sure its a leak in one if the pipes. He has checked Every where but no leak. I then asked him if he had a dye which he could mix with the gas to check the leak and the guy laughed and said what was that, it was then i knew i needed a new person. I an so sure it's just a leak. Please Anyone know where i can get a technician that uses dye to detect Leaks, i practically used All my nysc allowee to fix this ac thinking it would last and barely a week. Its gone out. Please anyone with a good ac leak detector should holla and your advice is needed too. Thanks

It's actually a friend's car that he wants to dispose. According to him the AC is not working due to issues with the compressor and he said it's built into the engine. So I suggested fixing that before selling and I'm trying to get cost for a worst case scenario.

Are you DIY savvy, if Yes, feel free, but from your question, I feel you're not DIY person, take it to another mechanic to drain it till it reaches the right gauge.

I'm far from what you'll call a guru but I seriously question the wisdom in this "burst repair". I don't even understand how a compressor can "burst" when it's not a balloon or pipe . Any repair beyond plugging leaks or changing clutch on a compressor, I'm out. Better to replace

05 corolla LE DIY so far.
I) drained and replaced engine oil with milemaster 5w30 and Denso oil filter
2) removed and repaired dash clock, soldiered the capacitors( greatest achievement )
3) changed serpentine belt
4) replaced broken driver side rear light
