You are Ibo, yet you never said a word when a former PDP Governor of Enugu, Sullivan Chime was away in the UK for over five months on a medical leave treating an undisclosed ailment. But same you is now calling for president Buhari to resign because he disclosed he needed rest after treating an undisclosed ailment in the same UK... WHAT ARE YOU? You are from the north or south or east or west of Nigeria, yet you took pity on former Taraba State Governor, Suntai who survived a self flown airplane crash, and became a vegetable; you kept quiet when he was being wheeled around Government House to finish his tenure, because he was PDP, right? And it was just okay then because your 'hero' was president. But same you have been in the fore calling for a Buhari who walks unaided, and has openly said he was working from home while he takes a rest., to resign.... WHAT ARE YOU? YOU ARE A TWO FACED SORE LOSER! GO GET A LIFE OR YOU CAN CHOOSE TO PROCEED TO THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE TO DO AN OLYMPIC DIVE. |
Don't be surprise if i tell you that 45% of the Hospital workforce are southerners. |
NASS REFUSED TO PASS LAWS THAT WILL ALLOW USE OF RECOVERED LOOTED MONIES FOR NIGERIANS ;- Many people erroneously believed that President Buhari is not fighting corruption; because none of those already arrested/detained/accused by the EFCC has not been convicted. But President Buhari wants to set up a Special Anti-Corruption Court and he named the bill as "The Special Criminal Courts Acts" which has been submitted to the NASS (National Assembly) since last year, but they refused to look into it & never thought of passing it into law. The same thing is happening to the "Whistle Blowers Protection Acts" meant to protect whistle blowers from injury, death, economic sabotage, job termination, etc... They refused to attend to this bill also. The Senate told the government point blank on the bill of "Anti-Money Laundering Acts" that they will not pass it into law. The bill has been with the Senate since 2015. And If corruption is not tackled and the judiciary is not re-organized to tackle corruption, how will Nigeria move from the status of Developing Country to become a DEVELOPED NATION? Most of the funds recovered cannot be accessed until the cases are concluded at the Supreme Court. Its about N2trillion potentially laying fallow that the government cannot touch until final judgment at the Supreme Court is pronounced. That is why the passage of Anti-Corruption Courts Legislation is critical in order to accessing these funds because such cases at the Special Court Level will be concluded more expeditiously. Now this same NASS is asking for 2.3% of ALL FEDERAL ALLOCATION, for their "Constituency Projects". Can we now see the true enemies of Nigeria? There is a perception deficit. Many people cannot even obtain the genuine informations of this Administration, because a dangerous narrative is being sold to people that President Buhari caused the recession (the recession which was since 2014 Madam NO ALL, our 1st ever rated economist, has warned us early enough of possible recession happening. If this perception deficit is not corrected, President Buhari will not be able to get the support he needed to put his programme's through, especially the ones that needs enabling laws from the NASS. Addendum to fellow Nigerians - Remember that terrorists only understand one language and that is Terror. We must all unleash terror on these NASS members so they will understand we are no more going to sit back and watch them to continuously destroying Nigeria. Share it round, both at home and at abroad until every Nigerian has amassed the seven stones to stone the Satanic ably represented by NASS Members. We must shame the devil called NASS. Collect your own 7 stones or even more. Just let us start showing them that we know who they represents, i.e. Evil, the Underworld Wickedness, Satanic Occultist. PLS JOIN THE REVOLUTION. JOIN THE REAL CHANGE.... BY FIRE BY FORCE. #Its Operation Stone Nass Members# |
searchng4love:I wish to refer all those who have been commenting on the Custom Uniform debate to take time out to read Sections 1-4 of the Nigerian Customs Service Board Act which creates the Nigerian Customs Service Board and the constitution thereof as well as the Customs and Excise Management Act to appreciate the time wasting exercise of the Senate that has unfortunately distracted itself from the main substance of the issue which is the retroactive policy on payment of duties on vehicles and has concentrated on a time wasting , pedestrian and non issue of wearing uniforms by the CG. I am still waiting for anyone including the Senate to refer us to any general policy guidelines made by the Nigerian Customs Service Board that prescribes that the CG must wear uniforms. In fact by the provisions of Section 2 of the Act, anybody can be appointed as CG including a person seconded from any arm of the Civil Service . It doesn't have to be a career officer. And do our Senators and all know that the duties of the Board under the Customs and Excise Act are in two parts? Do they know what the Excise duties entail? Do they know that border and port control and duties assessment and collection are only an integral part of the functions of the service? Do they know that it also has inspectorate responsibilities over factories and industrial complexes? Do they know it has powers over some elements of aviation with powers to even impound ships and aircrafts? Do they know that it also must grant licences for the production of spirits and beers? Do they know that No brewery or distillery can manufacture beer or spirits in Nigeria without licence from the Board of Customs? Are they aware that It also has powers to make regulations regulating the manufacture of Tobacco .? And above all, about half of its work force doesn't even wear uniforms especially those on Excise duties. The CG is therefore not an enforcement officer alone, but also a regulator and licencing body. He is not obliged by law to wear uniform. Please let us support our assertions with the law setting up the Customs and Excise and its functions. Which law prescribes that anybody in the Customs should wear uniforms. As Comptroller General, he is the Vice Chairman of the Board and Finance Minister is the Chairman. Would she also wear uniform? He is not obliged to wear uniform because his schedule of duties does not require him to so do. Neither can he be compelled to do so. The Senate is misdirected in this case. Instead of facing the real issue of the retroactive directive on duty payment for imported cars, they are here busy chasing inanities and leaving the substance. They will come out bruised. Dr Olu Agunloye was Corp Marshal of FRSC, he didn't wear uniform to work. Roli Bode George as DG of NDLEA and her Executive Chairman don't wear uniform to work. She adorned it only occasionally out of choice and not because she was compelled or obliged to so do and for ceremonials. Lanre Ipinmisho was DG of NDLEA and didn't wear uniform. Retired AIG Oyakhilome was DG of NDLEA and didn't wear uniform. Coming to Lagos, Retired Commissioner of Police Arebamen and Odubela were heads of LASTMA and AIG Chris Olakpe currently heads the agency . None of them wore or wears uniform because the law didn't make it obligatory for them to wear it. General Bamaiyi was Chairman of NDLEA, he didn't wear their uniform either. Neither did AIG Fulani Kwajafa. The current DG too doesn't wear any uniform. The pioneer Director of Customs, Mr Diyan and his predecessor didn't wear uniform too. It was Dr Bello who was a Veterinary Surgeon before his appointment as DG who first wore the uniform . He was never in the Customs before his appointment. They were all political appointees to the offices. So why the hullabaloo about a non issue as pedestrian by the Senate. The Senate promulgated the laws under which he operates, why is it so difficult for them to invoke their own law setting up the Customs to deal with the issue rather than all the playing to the gallery as we have so far seen. I have not heard any of the throats bursting senators make any reference to any law or guidelines that the DG of Customs has flouted by his refusal to wear uniform I believe that is not too much for them to refer themselves and the citizens to the relevant laws or regulations. They should invoke the law rather than distracting the Customs from doing its work. Enough of the comedy. -Babatunde K. Ogala |
Copied from my good friend Oladapo Michael Ilori - Pen is mightier than sword. This was my comment on a forum concerning the uniform saga and to those who were saying Rtd Col Ali is too proud. Firstly, with due respect, the man is not proud. He is only ensuring that power mongers and rogues don't think they are God. Let us logically understand the issues. No written law is mandating him based on the appointment by Mr president to put on such. If he decides to, that is a moral personal decision. If the senate wants such people to wear uniforms, then amend the constitution and the acts which establishes the customs to cover for non-career officers who are drafted to head agencies. This was a reason the CGC advised the senators that ought to know better to check the legal basis of what they were asking him yesterday. We can go deeper on the logical progression. Let us pretend that it is even written and clearly stated as such, please NOTE that the senate is only empowered to make laws and NOT to enforce laws. So even if such existed, it is not in their powers to enforce it. Tomorrow, if you reading this now is told to appear at the senate because they heard something about say your company and would like you to clarify, and they insist you appear on all round red or black attire, you would ask first if it is written as a law before thinking of the absurdity behind the irrelevance of chasing shadows(what to wear) rather than substance(the issue at hand). If the man says he is ready for them, and they say they can't and won't talk to him while on mufti, he should calmly tell them they spoke with an active policeman heading the EFCC on mufti only yesterday and it was not a problem. If they remain childish and foolish(especially that Dinosaur that thinks himself smart) he should leave their horrible chambers for more important matters. Added bits: Next week, I am hopeful he would again go on mufti until they either give up or call for his head. The highest they can do is to write to the executive recommending his sack with immediate effect. The president would surely like to know if they are recommending that he should be sacked because of his mufti or because of his performance. © OmòBùHáRí |
