Nigerians please do not let this affliction arise again.

Religion / Re: Why Has Pre-marital Sex Become A Norm In Our Society Today? by blackknyte(m): 10:33am On May 23, 2020
The proliferation of the contraception culture and abortion on demand are directly responsible for this.

These are the direct consequences of the so-called sexual revolution which although failed and still failing, Nigerians are still accepting without shame in some distortion of feminism.

Women hold the key to chastity and sexual uprightness in any culture.

Women run the world.

Religion / Does God Prevent The Believer From Sinning? by blackknyte(m): 1:08pm On Jun 04, 2017
I am a "Born Again" Christian. I struggle with impure thoughts and etc. Why did God give me this cross to bear? I thought that He would change me and prevent me from sinning.

Religion / Re: Why Do You Attend Your Present Church? by blackknyte(m): 8:22am On Jun 06, 2016
Nwaonyeocha:
Bros, so Christ built his church on a mere mortal Peter? Then the Catholic church ought to be church of Peter.
Read that Matt 16 from beginning to end and think twice.

Reading Matt 16 from vs 18

“And so I tell you, Peter: you are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven; what you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and what you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:18-19

It doesn't say the church is built on Peter but the church will be built with Peter given delegated authority.

This is further highlighted in vs 19.

You may also want to study the typology of "keys to the kingdom".

Me?

Op if it's because you are born into the church is your reason, I advise you to go sit down and rethink.

For me, I don't have a particular church where I worship, as long as they worship in truth n spirit I am there. Matt 7:21

You talk about worshipping in spirit and truth and quote Matt 7:21 which when read all together from vs 15 to 24 goes from talking of false prophets to talking of the true disciple who builds on the right foundation.

Well, let's see what the bible says about foundation and church in Matt 16:18.

“And so I tell you, Peter: you are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it.”

The entire purpose of this submission is to highlight the danger of not belonging/having a particular church.

I will go ahead to announce the importance of The Church which is the body of Christ in the following submissions:

“But if I am delayed, this letter will let you know how we should conduct ourselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭3:15

The church is the pillar and support of the Truth

The problem here is that all the various denominations teach different things.

I am Catholic by the way. I would love to discuss more with you.

OneManLegion:
I don't like the idea of death; it's too final. I wish humans could come back to life....hell, I wish we wouldn't die at all.

Death is NOT FINAL. Yes!
In fact, this is the lamentation of Solomon in Ecclesaistes 3. But the good news is WE COULD COME BACK TO LIFE and WILL COME BACK TO LIFE.

This is the reason the Son of God became flesh like us, died, & resurrected. These are guaranteed if we only just believe:

We will live forever in an incorruptible body. (John 3:16; 2Corinthians 4:7-18)

As evidence and for blessed assurance, we have been given the deposit of faith (Holy Spirit) as the ernest of our inheritance in Christ Jesus until the redemption of the purchased possession. (Ephesians 1).

Cheer up, my friend. Cheer up

Hmm
After 20yrs but why transfer him now wat happens to his followers dat he has spent years to build?

No priest has followers, my dear friend. They labour for Christ and are subject to the authority of their superiors in accordance with the vows they voluntarily took.

Also, the Holy Spirit is not limited to any single person and The Good Shepherd will feed his flock always when they call on him.

That cannot happen in 4 or 8 years. The city of New York consumes 200GW of electricity. We generate just 3GW in Nigeria.

Moving from 3GW to 200GW doesn't happen in 8 years. Let us start by trying to achieve 45GW which is what is generated in South Africa. Even that is a tall order in 4 or 8 years. Fixing power cannot happen overnight. If we can get to 12MW, which means more Nigerians can have access to electricity and for a little longer than now, then he would have tried.

Very informed write. And objective also.
