Btw, I think this show should end, much sooner than later. It has too much staggered momentum to hold any sustained interest. I mean, i actually thought they didn't release an episode this week, almost zero chatter about it. If Episode 1 of your show, looks like the peak, then there is a problem.

Season 3 should've been the final one.
But HBO have managed to stretch it to four seasons because....WHY NOT?

It's their biggest show and it gets tons of views.

Trouble always follows her everywhere she goes.

I remember when Disney cast her as a lead in one of their popular Star Wars shows.

Fans didn't like the show, na so Amandla pick fight against Star Wars fans and started attacking them on social media.

She's one of the worst actors to work with in Hollywood.

imagine the pure hype S3 would have had if hey ended S2 with these 2 episodes we just saw.

Those two episodes are essentially the long-delayed finale episodes of season 2 we didn’t get two years ago, which does mean there are only 6 episodes left this season for material past the intended end point of Season 2.

S2 being better than S1 is not a compliment in my opinion. They left out so much. The boulder arc where we meet Toph was just so random when it was one of the best character introduction in animation 😪. This season was still trash. It was so unfunny and cringe- esp the conversation they were trying to make everything deep when it wasn't 🙃 they made sokka so unfunny, anytime he tried to be funny it felt so performative.
The worst thing about the show was the acting. Aang's acting seemed like a donkey was giving a script and tried to act like an emotional human- that kid can't act to save his life 😔 it seemed like he was pushed to start acting because he just looked like Aang which now he doesn't look like him anymore.
The cinematography that was so terrible also carried to s2 too.
The only reason it seemed good was because of the source material.
A clear 4/10 and a 2/10 if you're comparing to the animated show

The worst thing about S2 is the lack of action.

I can count on one hand how many action scenes they did.

The little action we got was poorly done and too short.

Toph's introduction at the arena was wrapped up in less than 3 minutes, they didn't even try to make it entertaining. It was too boring.

There's an action scene in the cartoon where team Avatar break into the Basing Se palace to see the earth king.
They did it by fighting all the soldiers and palace guards.
It's one of the best action scenes in the cartoon.

In Netflix ATLA, they break into palace by sneaking in.

It feels like Netflix was deliberately cutting down the action to save money or something. I don't know.

Some of the best action scenes in the cartoon never made it here.

The worst scene for me was the Aang vs Azula fight.

It looked so cheap compared to the cartoon.

I'm worried about season 3 because if Aang vs Azula wasn't well done, I wonder what Aang vs Firelord Ozai is going to look like.

If I start comparing the Netflix show to the cartoon. My rating will be much lower.

But I tried to remove my mind from the cartoon when watching the show hence the 7/10 rating.

I still think it's better than S1.
I mean which part of S1 do you think is better than S2?
I can't think of any.

The reviews for ATLAB S2 are few and far between on here, thought we were all anticipating it? 🤔😩... haven't seen a proper review on here, and the ratings so far are kinda hot and cold...abeg, make una talk fast before i put body, cuz it's among my next watch 🥲

Before you watch Netflix ATLA S2, you need to accept that this show will never be as good as the cartoon and adjust your expectations.

Season 2 is much better than season 1.

The visual effects and the pacing have improved.

Team Avatar is better, their relationship is stronger. The acting is better and they have way better chemistry here than they did in season 1.

Toph Beifong is perfect. The actress is brilliant. She got everything right, down to the mannerism, attitude, personality and even the voice.

Season 2 still got pacing issues. Some episodes move really fast and some are slow and boring.

Some dialogues are cringey and some of the fight scenes were poorly done.

The main plot is barely changed. Everything else is loosely adapted.

The production design is much better.

Basing Se feels like a real city. They built sets instead of filming everything with CGI like they did with Omashu is season 1.

I have watched all 7 episodes.

I went in with low expectations because I didn't like season 1 very much and I wasn't disappointed.

I'm glad season 2 is better but there's still room for improvement.

I will give it a decent 7/10

Ten episodes completed and they haven’t given any answers. They’re just dragging it with different stories out until Season 5.

I want to drop this show but I can't because I've watched three seasons.

Season 5 is the final season. There's no way they can wrap this up and explain everything with just 10 episodes.

FROM might not end well unfortunately.

If this script is as bad as they're saying, please get Ana Nogiera the flying fück away from that Wonder Woman and Teen Titans movie.

James Gunn is a good director but he has a lot to learn as a producer.

Hiring an inexperienced writer to write your $170m movie is one thing, doubling down and giving her Wonder Woman and Teen Titans too is a huge red flag.

Her first big writing gig is a disaster and James Gunn gave her two more.

How hard is it to find a competent writer in Hollywood huh

I don't know who asked James Gunn to greenlit this movie.

It's not like DCU doesn't have anything else to release this year.

You have HBO Lanterns series from the Damon Lindelof and Co. Same guy that made the critically acclaimed HBO Watchmen.

There's Clayface too. A low budget horror movie that will not make or break the DCU.

That is enough.

Supergirl is very risky venture.

The budget alone is crazy.

$175m for a D-list female superhero.

Female superhero are not well received nowadays.

Not since Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman in 2019 and 2017 respectively.

Every female led CBM since Endgame has failed.

The failure of Supergirl should be a wake up call for James Gunn.

If it's not Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman. It should not carry a budget of $100m+.

I've seen the early reactions and it's just as I feared.

It's your average CBM, nothing spectacular, different nor memorable.

It's like those average MCU phase one films. Thor 1 and 2, Captain America first movie etc.

I've seen critics and fans who loved Superman 2025 saying Supergirl is mid at best.

It's one of those movies you can definitely skip and watch it at home in the next few months.

I'm saving my money for Christopher Nolan's Odyssey next month.

The term "best show of the year" has been made redundant and should probably be taken with a grain of salt henceforth.

If there's one show I've heard about constantly over the past two months, it's this one. It kept popping up in my weekly subred recommend, so I patiently waited the full 10 weeks so I could binge it. After finally finishing it, I'm left wondering... what exactly was all the hype about?

The plot itself is simple, or at least, it's supposed to be. A town mayor is trying to market his town as the next big tourist destination, except strange things keep happening, all tied to an ancient curse. Then the show starts to convolute the story, asking far more questions than it provides answers for. By the last three episodes, I'd all but tapped out and wasn't the least bit interested in what they were trying to show me.

The thing that annoyed me the most was that it was billed as a comedy horror. The horror is definitely there, but I wasn't laughing, to say the least. There was a deadpan comic relief character who had a lot of potential, but she was seriously underutilized. There are genuinely great comedy horror shows out there, like "What We Do in the Shadows" (I don't even know if I've dropped the review of that one here), but this sadly isn't in the same league.

Perhaps if it hadn't been called the "show of the year" by what felt like 90% of the people who watched it, I might have enjoyed it more. But the level of quality I was expecting just wasn't there.

That's not to say you shouldn't watch it. Just keep your expectations firmly on the ground.

This Widows Bay got so much hype online, I saw some X film accounts ranking it in the same category as Midnight Mass, Haunting of the Hill House and Welcome to Derry.

I downloaded six episodes and yet I can't finish episode 1.

There's no way Widows Bay is part of horror elite.

I want to believe that Apple paid people to hype it on social media or everyone watched a completely different show.

The egyptians will have to wait for another time to record their first win at the FIFA world cup. They remain stuck in the ' African countries with no Fifa world cup win penitentiary' with Togo, Angola, Drc and Cabo Verde

With the performance I saw today, they are definitely getting that first win against either Iran or New Zealand.

There's nothing special about these players that should make them go for more than 60m

Players should stop signing four to five years contract and only sign three year deals.

That's the only way to combat this madness.

If your club is moving mad, (and they won't because you're on a 3 year contract with only one or two years left) you run down your contract and leave for free.

Players like Baleba, Evan Ferguson have missed out on joining big clubs because of the huge and unrealistic transfer fees.

Fernandes will probably remain at West Ham and play Championship football. His value will come down because of that and he will end up at a mid table club for €40m.

No one will pay £85m for Fernandes. West Ham will regret.

That is how Brighton slapped a £100m price tag on Baleba, he ended up staying at Brighton, had a poor season and his value collapsed.

Brighton will celebrate if they get £60m for Baleba today.
