Season 5 of Stranger Things feels like an afterthought.

It feels like something Netflix sanctioned because they want to milk the show a bit longer.

Season 5 is by far the worst season.

The whole thing is a mess.

I'm very disappointed.

I just finished Pluribus

Good show. Not as good as Giligan's other shows, definitely the weakest of them. But still a good show.

I don't understand why it's 9 episodes long. Should have been cut down to 7.

Episode 7 still dey vex me. I should have fast forwarded the damn thing.

Pluribus is a decent 7/10

Good show.

I will watch season 2 when it drops.

cColumbus:
you sure say na the real welcome to Derry Town ah dey watch so...because 25mins into the first episode, nothing dun happen o😵‍💫 where's all the gore and horror y'al been talking about

Watch episode one to the end before you start complaining.

I started watching Pluribus yesterday.

I'm on episode 7 and I have to say this is by far the slowest episode of any Vince Gilligan project.

This is coming from someone who loves every Vince Gilligan work. From Breaking Bad to Better Call Saul and El Camino.

Pluribus is a good show but I pity who dey watch am week to week.

This is a show you binge under 24 hours.

Episode 7 is 45 minutes long and nothing interesting happened until the very end.

Imagine watching an almost pointless episode and waiting a whole week for the next one.

I'm glad I waited for all the episodes to drop before diving in.

Thought Stranger Things S5 Vol2 is scheduled for today?

Tonight in USA timezone

I know the movie I'll be seated for on that day

abduleez1:
Lol, na the Clowns wey wan purchase WB be dis??

Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer did well in theaters.

You'd think these clowns would learn something from that and give Last Airbender a chance.

And Last Airbender is a beloved franchise sef.

Even the live action series broke records on Netflix.

This is a stupid decision. Paramount execs don't know what they're doing.

Beorn:
Not impressed one bit. I mean we've known about this for quiet sometime now. Waiting for a better trailer that would pique my interest. Regardless, God willing, I'll be there.

Wow, so the rumors are true.

This movie is a direct sequel to Endgame.

You could skip every MCU movie after Endgame (except maybe Fantastic Four) and it wouldn't matter.

This is the first Avengers movie with little to zero buildup.

I also heard Steve Rogers, Thor are the leads in this movie with the villain played by Robert Downey Jnr.

I hope the many people that loved Endgame will come back to support this movie because it's clearly made for that crowd.

Whatever happens next year, try not to kpai before 17th July 2026 o

I'm surprised no one is talking about Knives Out here.

The best thing I saw this weekend.

I think this is my favorite in the trilogy.

This is the deepest and most profound of the Knives Out movies.

The writing is very strong. I couldn't guess who the killer was until the very end.

Josh O'Connor is so so good in this movie alongside Daniel Craig.

I need Knives Out to become the new Fast and Furious. Rian Johnson could make 7 of these movies and I'll still watch em all.

I can't give this movie the praise it deserves without spoiling it.

Top shelf mystery. Highly recommend.

9/10

Food for the weekend

The visuals of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

I know the Supergirl teaser didn't show much but I need that movie to look this good.

The trailer is okay.

But the visuals is not what I was expecting.

The comic book is way more stunning than this.

Kharol1234:
This one you don gibe this kind rating so, i fit watch am again because e they my phone

You already have it so watch it if you have nothing else to watch.

It's a below average movie. You might fall asleep while watching it.

Get hyped!!

All the scoopers have been saying that this movie is spectacular. I have a feeling it's going to be more well received than Superman.

Too bad the visuals won't match the comics.

BlackManta:
Is that Appa at the Serpent Pass

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Appa was kidnapped before they made it to Serpent's Pass.

Reason why they had to cross on foot.

If they skip Appa getting kidnapped by the sandbenders, that means they are skipping out on one of the best episodes in the cartoon.

Good thing they filmed season 2 and 3 back to back.

The boy playing Aang looks unrecognizable.

I'm hoping the season 2 is better especially now that they've hired a new show runner.

IT: Welcome to Derry S1 E07 (2025).

Ingrid: You are not my Papa, what have you done with him?

Pennywise: I ate him!.

Omoo...i wasn't really familiar, and for that, Astaghfirullah! because this Ep 7 did wonders to me that I was out of my chair applauding 👏🏿👏🏿😭.

Picked up from the end of the last episode, that teased a racial carnage that has been quite frankly, steaming since Ep 1, and what a carnage it was. In the midst of them racist white folks showing them black folks, who is boss, Pennywise just shows up from nowhere, and was like "Hey, I have no dog in this fight, but i am here to have a meal, either way"..... just peak stuff 😩.

seated like mad for the finale next week 🤲🏿

I'm waiting for the last episode to air so I can binge everything in one day.

Pluribus, Welcome to Derry and Stranger Things 5. Once all of them complete this month.

I will be having a feast

We're watching succession in real life, right now. I'm not sure who'd win this but I hope it's paramount

$108b is crazy money.

That Ellison kid is mad desperate.

WB is not even worth that much.

I don't like Netflix because they are anti-cinema.

But I would rather see them take over Warner Bros than Paramount.

The guy that runs Paramount, that Ellison boy.
He's inexperienced and he doesn't know the first thing about running a massive billion dollar entertainment company.

What has he achieved since he bought Paramount with his daddy's money?

And Paramount is a small fish o.

If he cannot do something good with small fish Paramount, what makes him think he can handle a mega fish like Warner Bros?

All of this under the control of Netflix

Scary times

abduleez1:
This saga keeps getting interesting...

Netflix winning the bidding war is surprising. A streaming-first company taking over Warner Bros wasn’t something I expected.

My concern is Netflix’s stance on cinema. They’ve always pushed the idea that streaming is the only real future for entertainment. They rarely give their films proper theatrical releases, and even when they do, it’s limited to a few hundred cinemas in the U.S.

As a Nigerian viewer, you can’t even watch something like Frankenstein in a cinema.

So with Netflix now in control of Warner Bros, the big question is: will films like Dune Part 3, The Batman, Godzilla etc. end up as streaming-only titles instead of getting a full cinematic release?

Matt Reeves what do you have for me?

abduleez1:
Get a refresher before the new season....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AfIJVvmNQY?si=MqtUqgFkq7pjyanr

None of these recaps are making sense to me.

I had to start afresh.

I'm almost done with season 2.

I will finish 3 and 4 by Friday and then onto the new season this weekend.

Release schedule for both Game Of Thrones spinoff series:

• A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1: 2026
• House of the Dragon Season 3: 2026
• A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2: 2027
• House of the Dragon Season 4: 2028

HBO keeping us fed

There's Aegon's Conquest too which could release in 2028/2029

Milly Bobby-Brown should fire her agent

See what her mate from Stranger Things is doing while she's stuck doing Netflix movies

The live action is here....👀

If they want to milk Moana so bad, why not do Moana 3 and Moana 4.

A live action Moana is not necessary nau.

The original Moana is doing just fine. Moana 2 grossed a billion dollars last year.

This Monarch series, is it good?

I used to think we don't need another Toy Story.

I thought it was another pointless cash grab from Disney but after seeing this teaser I'm interested like mad.

The villain being an iPad is such an interesting idea that is too good to pass up.

I want Toy Story 5 to show how too much screen time can limit a child's interest and hobbies and even contribute to social anxiety in children.
