GloriousGbola: I just finished watching the first two episodes of X-MEN 97. This is an excellent show. Well written with drama and suspense and characters I love. Too bad it's a sequel to a 90's cartoon series that I haven't seen. I don't understand some plot points here. Like why did Professor Xavier will his assets to Magneto of all people and how did Magneto become a good guy? I enjoyed the show regardless, again this is an excellent show. But you need to see the original 90's cartoon if you don't want to get confused watching this. |

I strongly believe Joker doesn't need a sequel But damn I'll be lying if I said these test screening reports doesn't fill me with hype and optimism. I hope the last sentence is not what I think it is given how critics reacted to the first movie

BlackManta: It was inevitable. The show needs to improve sha. I thought season 1 was okay but there were a lot of things I didn't like about it. I will talk about it later. Book 1 is actually the weakest and Netflix did a decent job adapting it. And now they are going to adapt book 2 and 3 which were pretty strong. Fingers crossed.

Disney's Percy Jackson series and Netflix's ATLA have almost the same budget And yet ATLA looks ten times better You see this money laundering that Disney does everytime, the day foul nyash go open, I'll be there no matter what. The Marvels cost more than the 2012 Avengers movie ffs. 1 Like 1 Share

BlackManta: I've seen a lot of people who never watched the animated show saying they need to check it out after watching Netflix's ATLA. I'm not a fan of the Netflix adaptation but I'm happy it led to the animated show getting serious attention from casual audience that haven't seen it. 5 Likes |

21m views in 4 days is actually insane Despite negative reviews, ATLA posted better numbers than the well received One Piece I'm suprised. Season 2 incoming 2 Likes 1 Share

I just finished watching episode one of the Netflix's ATLA series. I'm actually suprised. This is better than I expected and my expectations were pretty low. I love the changes they made to the fire nation. They showed us the massacre of the air nomads. It was brutal. Fire bending is very well done in this show. They're roasting people alive here. Fire bending is very deadly, this is one part of the animated show that Netflix improved. The visuals are spectacular. You need to see this in 720p or higher resolutions. It's really beautiful. The kid that plays Aang is okay. He has the charm even though it's just a little bit but it's there. Sokka is okay. He has some of the traits of the cartoon version without the comedy. I thought the actor did enough to convince me. Katara is bland and boring. Nothing about this Katara resembles the one in the cartoon. The guy that plays Zuko did his homework well. Zuko here is straight out of the cartoon. Same vibe and everything. The bending is actually good. Especially fire bending. Earth bending is very well done, I was impressed by the earth bending I saw in the first minutes of the episode. Episode one started on a high. But the pacing was a bit off. Sometimes it felt like they were rushing. Episode one alone covers the first two episodes of the original show. The first episode is a 7/10 in my opinion. It's okay but there's room for improvement. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

BlackManta: A native american woman is (almost certainly) going to win best actress for the first time in history and instead of like celebrating that countless film journos are implying that margot robbie not being nominated in the same category is somehow a loss for feminism. I don't know what they are smoking over there in the West. 1 Like |

The media has been milking the Greta and Margot Robbie's Oscar snub for virtue signalling... Barbie got 8 nominations ffs and the woke media is acting like it's not enough for mumu optics. "The women most responsible for the success of Barbie were snubbed, therefore bla bla.... " Go fvck yourselves with your brain dead agenda

abduleez1: I'm facing the same problem too. Viva is the nearest cinema to my location and their website is down plus zero activity on their socials since October. You'd think the business closed down but if you visit their cinema, you will find it fully functional. They are showing movies everyday but since website dey down, you can't book tickets online or check the daily movie schedule. My brother went to see Aquaman 2 last week, he had to go to the cinema to check the schedule and then hang around the mall for hours waiting for the time movie starts. Ordinary schedule he would have checked online if their website and socials were up and running. I'm not ready for that stress. Any movie I plan to see sooner than later will have to wait. |

Baddestguyp: The execs at WB are not very smart. Pushing Dune 2 to March 2024 and letting Aquaman 2 get the Christmas holiday release is a very idiotic move ngl. The money Dune is going to make in March would have been much more if it was released for Christmas. Aquaman 2 is a waste of space. That movie is doomed to underperform financially. Christmas season won't save it. So I don't get why they are doing it any favours when they have a guaranteed big hitter in Dune 2. WB never see handwriting on the wall. Very dumb company. 1 Like |

Please avoid Invincible S2 if you haven't started watching it yet... Wait for the season to be complete next year before you watch. It took Amazon 2 years and half to release season 2 and as if the long wait wasn't enough, they split S2 into two parts. A show of only 8 episodes. It's very annoying. S2 part 2 will be next year, no date yet. If you are a fan of Invincible, avoid season 2 for now. In the time it took Amazon to release season 2, I read the comics twice. 1 Like

Baddestguyp: 5. Hard reboot the MCU and start over with the X-Men. The X-Men stories reflects the real world so much, it can be character driven and grounded. With the X-Men we get to see themes of discrimination, racism and politics with real world consequences and characters with flaws and moral struggles. It would show the grey areas of what it means to be a "superhero" in a modern "realistic" world. A deep and grounded take on the superhero genre. Something serious and entirely different from what we've been getting all these years. I doubt the MCU will do something like this tho. 1 Like |

abduleez1: She understands the assignment. She's a successful playwright but this is her first major screenwriting gig, I hope she knocks it out of the park. Now I need James to hire a director with a keen eye for visuals and creative prowess. Someone like Gareth Edwards can bring the story to live, complete with the stunning visuals and great production design with a lower budget as well.

Dotng: I just finished watching this movie. It's an excellent sci-fi movie. Incredibly well directed, good story and great visuals. In the age of $200m Disney+ shows, how Gareth Edwards managed to keep the budget for this movie below $100m should be carefully studied. The guy is a genius. I don't know why or how this movie flopped. In another timeline The Creator would've been one of the most successful movies of the year. It's an underrated masterpiece. 8/10 2 Likes |
