Crime / Re: Moment A Man O'war Officer Slapped Fake Seminarian & Blood Came Outof His Mouth by Blackskin: 4:40am On Aug 07, 2018

A man dressed as a seminarian so he could steal a car from a Catholic church during a priestly ordination was caught and beaten by Man O' War. A photo showing the dramatic moment he was slapped across the face has now been released online.

The man, believed to be 27, was allegedly caught trying to steal a brand new Toyota Camry during a priestly ordination at Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, in Owerri, Imo State on Saturday, July 4, 2018

After he was caught, he was handed over to some soldiers and Man O’ War operatives in the church and they drilled him before handing him over to the police for further interrogation. One of the photos shows the moment a Man O’ War personnel slapped the suspect during interrogation, causing him to start bleeding from the mouth.....
Permission for correction...... They are not Man O War...
The are Man of Order and Discipline (MOD)...
They are brutal than Man O War...
They Originated from Catholic Church..
Do ur research and thank me leta.

Nairaland / General / Special Notice To Lagos State Government And Nigeria Police . by Blackskin: 6:55pm On Jun 24, 2018
*SPECIAL NOTICE TO LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE NIGERIAN POLICE*. ILOGBO EREMI PEOPLE IN OLORUNDA LCDA ARE LANGUISHING.

It's rather difficult to believe that there are still communities specifically in Lagos State and incredibly in Nigeria where life and its quality can only be compared to the stone age.

Worst still, one may erroneously believe that the area, like the historic BAKASSI Peninsula, probably because of its closeness to SEME border, had been released unannounced to a neighbouring Country, and so not counted any longer as part of the sovereign State of NIGERIA.

Life in *ILOGBO EREMI*, an ancient Community in OLORUNDA LCDA in Badagry LGA of Lagos State, calls for serious Government attention, and the Nigerian POLICE has to wade in too without further delay. People are not only suffering in that area of the State, they are daily been attacked so helplessly by criminals, the *AJEGUNLE Boys* who recently invaded the Community. People in the area now live with apprehension.

How do we narrate an ordeal faced by a 65 year old man who was robbed by these hoodlums of everything he had in his ramshackle building and as if that was not enough, he was ordered to have fun with his own daughter that was taking care of him.
The man, on hearing that, roared that *what an abomination?* He shouted that he would rather die than having sex with his own daughter. And the poor man was shot dead.

People in the Community cannot but live under great fear since they know that the small shop, labelled *POLICE POST* in ILOGBO EREMI can never hurt an ant, while Officers of AREA K POLICE COMMAND located at OKO AFO on the way to BADAGRY can never get to ILOGBO since the only road that links the area to life, that is, *OKO AFO-ILOGBO ROAD* is not passable, and thousands of people, especially Civil Servants have to trek the 2 km road day and night. One wonders why an area can be so abandoned.

Today, eminent people are packing out of the community as a result of poor infrastructure and current experiences of *INSECURITY*. Of note is the level of notoriety of OKADA Riders in the area, especially between OKO AFO and ILOGBO who will not only charge exorbitantly but will also rob and rape their customers in the night or very early hours of the day.

It is so bad that though the Elected Chairman of OLORUNDA LCDA - Hon. Olatunde, a bonafide Son of ILOGBO EREMI is equally helpless like any other person in the community in tackling either the ROAD Problem or the SECURITY situation.

*PRAYERS*

The OKO AFO - ILOGBO EREMI Road has become a death trap, especially for Civil Servants and Traders who are bound to go to work daily from the Community and its environ. This same road is relied on by more than 10 other Communities under Ilogbo including IJOHUN, IJOTUN, IPARA, OMOSOLA, SONVE, ERUUKU, AGUNAJE, GOMAJAI and many other smaller towns and Villages under Ilogbo Eremi where people enjoy no other Access Road apart from the now terrible OKO AFO - ILOGBO EREMI Road where even sand carrying Tippers sink at will.. Government just needs to come in.

The level of criminality in the area is increasing by the day. Since the hoodlums know that there is no Police access to the area, A lot of evils are being perpetrated. Ilogbo Eremi has then become a place where Armed Robbery, Ritual Killings and the like now thrive. A deliberate professional investigation of the activities of criminals in the area becomes very necessary and urgent by the Nigerian POLICE. .

The POLICE POST in ILOGBO EREMI needs to change its status to a POLICE STATION and has to be so equipped. Criminals have truly moved into the Area. All Security Agencies have to be involved in the combing of the Ilogbo Eremi area to fish out the criminals from their dens.

How I pray our amiable Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode will visit Ilogbo Eremi to confirm the above claims.

God bless Nigeria!

Properties / Re: Share Your Experience As A Tenant That Made You Decide To Become A Landlord by Blackskin: 7:09am On Apr 23, 2016
Much has been said by many people (especially in big Nigerian cities like Lagos) about ''one not yet having a permanent address if one does not have a house of their own". We all know the economic realities and challenges involved in actually becoming a house owner in Nigeria today, no matter what city you live in. Regardless of what work or means of livelihood one is into ; be it entrepreneurial or salary earning, legal or illegal, active or passive income business, truth is that coughing out at least a few millions of Naira (at a go or over a period of time) to have one's own roof over your family's head will no doubt leave a dent in one's capital base.

In a very recent piece here in the property section of Nairaland, someone asked "What Age Should Owning A House Be A Priority?". As typical of such opinion based Nairaland posts, various brilliant and not-so-brilliant responses were given to that. However, this writer personally feels that issues like this ''What age should one become a landlord?" or "What ideal age should one get married? and the many likes, are part of the reasons why we have so much young people under unnecessary pressure and as a result multitudes of desperate and greedy people who are gunning to succeed by all mean in order to prove a point to some people who do not even know they exist in the first place. (Please note that this stated opinion is just a personal one).

The question of this property-ownership-related question I would rather that we ask is this :

- Which life experience/incident (serious or hilarious, simple or complex) made the landlords (or soon-to-be landlords) in-house decide that they have had enough of life as a tenant?

- How did you go about the plan that made you achieve this dream?

- What are the challenges you faced along the line?

- Is it so hard ,as we really make it sound in Nigeria, to own a house?

- What are some unpopular tips or resources available that people can adopt to make their own home ownership dreams possible and sooner?

- Is there really any big deal in the much acclaimed title 'Landlord'?

I hope that the responses we get to this will do better to inspire several Nairalanders (like this writer) who are still tenants to do more and better in order to achieve this dream. Over toonses to this will be much valued......
I decided to have own building, cus I think its a necessity wen u are financially okay to do that, do Neva get any problem wit my landlord before I own my building I even pay my rent upfront, but no be my Power ooo. Concerning d age to own a building, I started my building wen I was 28 and finish d building at d age of 30... Now I have tenants....BABA GOD I THANK YOU OOOOooo

It's not a bad idea to invite your parents and siblings one weekend. You don't have to kill a ram or goat.

For me, it's more like celebrating completion of the project. Perhaps more relevant if it's your first house and you're just moving in.

A pastor's prayer is not bad either.

Don't forget there are millions not able to afford one. One has to be grateful.
tanx i will arrange 4 it
