Politics › Re: 3rd Largest Party In Nigeria Endorses Jonathan For 2nd Term by BlackTechnology: 12:30pm On Feb 04, 2015
atlwireles:
All politics is local, the voting pattern come Feb 14 will mirror the 2011. Buhari has the NW/NE locked up, just as Jonathan has SS/SE locked up. The NC/SW will break in PDP's/ Jonathan favour because of religion and local issues. A more closer election, but PDP's victory is secure.
Good observation

Have you noticed that lots of anti-Buhari SW elites are waking up. cool

Politics › Re: What Are The Programs Of Buhari And Their Feasibility? by BlackTechnology: 11:26am On Feb 04, 2015
Buhari policies will end up destroying Nigeria

By the end of his first term, SW youths won't be able to endure the economic disaster.

If Buhari wins and the ND militants keep their peace, I am totally sure that by the end of February 2018, Yorubas will weep. cool

The reason for my comment is below

BlackTechnology:
Many years ago the Muslim North was shouting sharia without putting into consideration the rights/privileges of the Christian North.

Today who is crying.? Muslim North

Change is good but it should not be gotten at the detriment of others rights/ privileges.

Today the SW seek change at the cost of SS turn to rule.

My brother

That type of change do turn sour at the end of the day.

I expected you to breakdown the highlighted headline for him...
.
The AU indicted Jonathan because all traces of lost funds across africa was traced down to Nigeria...
It means that... The AU funds has always been stolen and that most african countries pass through Nigeria to receive their funds... And The estimated lost through transfer has always been wired from Nigeria...that Jonathan should give account of every AU affiliated organizations and bodies that has been illegally receiving funds approved from AU.
.
.
The AU have organizations they sponsor...acros africa...
.
It was a summit, whatever lost that they might have should be as a result of their poor management...approving and transferring funds.
.
Is Jonathan the one collecting this funds?
.
Mehn....u shld try and be thinking!
Correct

My concern was the fact that the figure is madness.

I for like to see the debate ooooo

Jokes apart

This debate should take place after GEJ's re election to help GEJ chart a better economic course

The areas that should be discussed are

1) Unemployment reduction

2) Business/Investment creation

3) Import reduction/ export increment

4) Ideal exchange rate

5) Foreign reserve

6) Expansion of non oil sector

7) Fiscal federalism

Please add more relevant ones

Yes. Example: In 2011, the budget had about 400b naira for subsidy payments. But during the Protest in 2012 and the probe that ensured, it was discovered that Jonathan paid 1.7trillion on Subsidy.

So BlackTechnology, tell us where the extra 1.3 trillion came from and where it went to since it was completely outside the budget? That one is Subsidy payments alone. Add some millions, billions and trillions stolen here and there - and you will understand what is going on.

Once again, PDP is sweeping this massive loot under the carpet. Dr. NOI has also suddenly become deaf and dumb.

And some will still ask Nigerians to reelect PDP to Continue Stealing from where they stopped. If about 30,000,000,000,000 (30 trillion) naira can be stolen in 4 yrs, now imaging what PDP have done to Nigeria in 16yrs.

Vote for Change. Vote APC - this money will go into infrastructures and empowering Nigerians to start their own businesses.

Nigeria is in shambles, the same DISCOs and GENCOs who donated about N5billion to the PDP Presidential campaign now need Intervention fund to do their business.

were we not told they have privatize the Power Sector? Nigerians are paying N750 maintenance fee very month whether power was given or not. Multiply N750 by approximately 100million households in the country.

Power generation have dropped from 4000Megawatts in 2014 to 2500Megawatts as at January 2015, and money is still flying left , right and centre.

Politics › Re: I’ll Ban Importation Of Rice, Tomato If Elected –Buhari by BlackTechnology: 4:28pm On Feb 03, 2015
omonnakoda:
The idea of bannng rice and tomatoes is a silly one. I am sure in the fulness of time if the man wins wisdom will prevail. If the goverment really wants to discourage imports a more effective tool is Naira devaluation though this would tend too favour the wealthy.
I do not particularly expect a president to be knowledgeable or a good economist. What is important is the capacity to set the direction,to choose the right team and to have the interest of the nation genuinely at heart. Where there are significant personal interests that conflict with national interest among key actors in any government there will be problems. That is likely to be the case whoever wins. Without necessarily criticizing Jonathan his team of the last 4 years has been a disaster. I think if he wins for Nigeria to really move forward he should consider getting close to half of his team from the other side. Nigeria is very divided right now and the primary job of any winner would be to heal. Any form of triumphalism could be disastrous. One problem Jonathan has is that he ,like many southerners, has not interacted with many northerners on a personal level though in his case I think his interaction even in the south was limited prior to assuming office and so when it came time to choose his team he was stranded. A typical example is his choice of Finance Minister,a decision probably made with his wife.
You started well but ended badly

It was the combined effort of the military of neighbouring countries like Cameroun and Chad as well as Niger republic.

Boko Haram was a Nigerian problem to them and these countries didn't listen to our constant plea to check on their border communities and as soon as they started pressurising them from the nigerian side they went back into those border communities to recruit ,regroup and get ready to carryout cross border raids and it started affecting those countries now I guess the pressure is coming from all angle.

Good one from GEJ. Allow Boko's incursion into Camoroun and Chad and watch them leap to help ,after all the enemy of a friend with common interest is your enemy too - Who wants Islamic ragheads running amok in a circular society?
