When will you cattle people launch the coup so that we end this slave camp called Nigeria In short you guys should hurriedly plot the coup MayorofLagos: the right to exercise choice and liberties is God given. A society must have heirarchy.....those who lead and speak for others, and those who are led and protected from top. This simple arrangement is unequivocally accepted as the foundational unit of government in all civilized societies. when the man on top of society is no longer trustworthy the civilized Yorubas will send him an ominous sign in the form of a parrots egg concealed in a calabash. If he fails to act before another sun has risen on the soil.....the subjects march on him and force him into a disgraced exile. This is how Yorubas topple an irresponsible leader. There is reason why Army was deployed on streets of Lagos yesterday. PDP know what Yorubas are capable of doing......and they know where it would start. We are proud of our legacy as defenders of peoples rights and as activists for civic responsibility. This is why i always say Yoruba is the father of political democracy in Nigeria. We have agitated the politics continously for over a decade and forced the country to adopt best practices for democracy. Gej wasted the gains of our efforts. I do not believe he wants election because he knows what the outcome will be. The promise of March 28th is a lie. This election will not hold in March. February 14th was a promised date and with commitments...but they moved it. So whats special about March 28th that they cant move it again using a different excuse? How about they come out and say ballot papers had February date and needs to change to the correct date and so we need new prints which wont be ready for six months? How about if INEC staff go on strike and wont end strike till July....and so no trained alternates to substitute....we need to postpone? If we do not have the resolve to stop the bs now, where would the resolve come from in March to confront the evil? There is a Rwanda in our future..... Blankstare: Do you remember the clash between dss and attempted escapist boko haram in yellow house last yr? It was an effort to rebel the military and march to aso rock cut short, am not ruling out anything especially this times when proffessionalism is at lowest ebb among all security agencies, when private individuals got nice metals to shoot anything. LRNZH: No yarn that crap abeg.... I do not support a military takeover. OP is stating that from a tactical perspective, the present govt is opening itself up for a military takeover. It is a warning they should heed. Using BH to postpone elections is flawed and nearly everyone recognises that. Nothing should stop the March 28 date neither should Jega be booted out. Or else...... DaBullIT: If they'll perform better let them take it from clueless |

Kinfunfun22: But really, you are the one that is dumb. Is INEC's reason for the postponement not security? Or where did u hear Jega talking about PVC? Try to speak only when you're well informed next time. Security is one of the reasons PVCs is the most important , that's why Clark and Ekweume wrote to reasonable Nigerians. Unfortunately you did not hear. |
Politics › Re: propaganda by BlackTechnology: 10:37am On Feb 08, 2015 |
Evvilgenius: Fellow Nairalanders, postponement of the elections is part of a grand plot by GEJ and his cohorts to hold unto power indefinitely, and this is how. First, they will claim they want to do a special operation in the North East for a particular span of time (which they've put at 6 weeks presently). After this 6 weeks, they'll record a degree of success but the insurgency will still be on. They will then demand for another time and say they can't provide adequate security for elections if they've not finished their operation. Ultimately, they'll state that they can't provide security for elections with because of their North Eastern operations which translates to ELECTION WONT HOLD UNTIL BOKO HARAM IS TOTALLY CRUSHED. And we all know that's not any time soon. This line of action will definitely cause unrest as many will see it as a breech of Nigeria's democratic institution. Finally, in as much as I have nothing against the military providing internal security during elections, I think internal security is the duty of the police, sss, civil defense etc and these people can go on with their duty if our military insist they all want to go to sambisa forest. Thank you for reading. The post below shows that your post is dumb TechRev: Its easy to say what you are saying when you are not among the about 30million that will be disenfranchised. Spin all the story you want but those 30million voters need to be heard(by their votes). Ask JEGA why. God bless you My neighbour is yet to obtain her PVC |

uyplus: The army has been dragged into politics. This is the height of insensitivity from the government. How many combatants are there in the army? That they can't assemble soldiers from the barracks to provide security. With all of these politicking happening, GEJ will end up losing more loyalist because this is classical example of tyranny. INEC cannot draw you out of your homr to come and collect PVC. They are just playing delay tactics so Jega's tenure will elapse, and then GEJ will appoint a puppet to conduct an election that may favour him. The economy has been on stand still since January, the president is unfazed with likelihood of civil unrest from his foolish politicking strategy. He had 5 years+ to be called the best democratic president, but he blew it up by allowing high level corruption in his government. I will never vote for him, wether elections get postponed till nextyear. Everybody I have met on the streets wants the election to hold, so what is their excuse? Did the Bokoharam menace start today? Why is GEJ so desperate in retaining power at all cost? Nigerians are tired of him, let him go. cococandy: yes that is me. Thank you.
Well I don't really see how that postponement is supposed to make any difference in the acceptability of any candidate. I'm sure most supporters of either parties already have their mind set on who they want. A few new jobs done now will not win anybody over to any side least likely the opposition who sees everything new as propaganda. That can't be his reason (if any) for wanting the election postponed.
If the allegations are true that some regions are being sidelined in the distribution of PVCs,then it makes sense for them to agitate for postponement. I would too if I live in a region where I've tried unsuccessfully to get my VC and can't . Who wants to be taken for a ride ?
Personally I'm indifferent to the issue of postponement or carrying on as scheduled.
I'm just confused as to why the opposition keeps saying it is a tactic by the ruling party to manipulate the elections when they can't even give a meaningful explanation of how that is 'supposed' to work in favor of the ruling party except of course somewhere deep down they(APC) believe truly that the regions supporting GEJ are being disenfranchised hence their call for the fast forward while the odd are still in their favor. Buhari stronghold has more PVCs than GEJ base, that's why they are insisting on Feb 14 Espn mrmetoo1 You see We are not f o o ls |
