RedArrow: Inequality is not only seen in Politics.
it's everywhere around us, in fact, it's a subject topic in Mathematics.
That does not make it right though, no race or tribe should feel superior over the others.
The more reason we have to include zoning of political posts (especially the post of the president) at federal level in the consitution
It should go across the 6 geo-political zones and all political parties must adhere to it when electing their candidates.
During Obasanjo and Olu-Falae contest, the atmosphere was calm and kool, During Yar'adua, Buhari and others, the atmosphere was also kool because these people came from the same region.
But Pitching one region against another is always not the best...we saw it last election btw Jonathan, Buhari and others, we are seeing the same thing in the coming election already.
I will support the inclusion of Zoning in our constitution to curb inequality.
To answer your question, I believe in political equity. That is why APC must fail They failed to uphold the principle of political equity and equality |

hedonistic: Tinubu's greed is legendary and unprecedented, so there is nothing improbable about this report.
Tinubu solely ensured that Buhari emerged as the presidential candidate. Without Tinubu's manipulations, if Buhari had been left to his own devices, Atiku or Kwankwaso would have easily clinched the APC ticket.
Tinubu is a major financier of Buhari's campaign. He has unlimited funds to play around with, and so much of the campaign funding Buhari now has flows from sources associated with Tinubu.
If you consider all these factors, and knowing Tinubu's antecedents, you would realise that he is not doing this simply because he likes Buhari's face or because of Nigerians. He is preparing to become richer than Dangote IF Buhari manages to win the election. This time around we are ready for him and his people Our oil won't be plundered again |

icequeen1991: The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation has described a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Charles Soludo, as being confused and conflicted.
It also said Soludo had lost touch with reality.
Director of Media and Publicity of the campaign organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, stated this while reacting to Soludo’s criticism of President Goodluck Jonathan’s economic policies.
Soludo had condemned the President’s economic policies, saying it would not help the country.
The former Minister of Aviation however disagreed, saying he read Soludo’s criticism of the economy under President Jonathan’s administration with amusement.
He, however, said he would be gentle with Soludo because of the soft spot he claimed he had for the former CBN governor.
Fani-Kayode said, “Soludo has criticised the President, his government and his handling of the economy.
“Meanwhile Nigeria has just won the prestigious award of being designated as the largest economy in Africa and this has happened under the watch of President Jonathan and no-one else.
“Should any right-thinking person, who has the nation’s interest at hear,t be complaining about that?
“Needless to say my friend and brother Charles Soludo is confused and conflicted. He seems to have lost touch with reality and this is what often happens when you spend too much time with the Buharists.”
He added that Soludo was far too educated, civilised and advanced to be in the opposition because, according to the former minister, he belongs to the modern age and not the dark ages.
“I pray that sooner than later, he comes to his senses and he sees the light,” he added.
He said 100,000 of the presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), could not match one Goodluck Jonathan in terms of tolerance, compassion or performance. May be I am blind Op Where is your source |

bjdon: My take on this is I think Buhari is not naive, maybe he was in 2011 but by now OBJ has briefed him on the realities on politics in Nigeria. He must know that he owes Tinubu something should he win the election, however by the time he wins he'll be the President C IN C, with enormous power at his disposal. I think he'll meet Tinubu half way, with some juicy appointments, although I see him warning that if any of the appointees are caught in corruption they would face the full wrath of the law.
Revoking Oil block licenses would be very difficult unless the aim is to nationalize them. There are legal implications, and the FG could be taken to court. If he revokes them and then Tinubu is seen to get some in new auctions, there will be a massive out cry, also it would do nothing to sooth what would be a very volatile situation in the South-South, after the loss of the Presidency.
In summary Buhari would be expected to reward Tinubu to some degree, but maybe not as far as Tinubu expects. Tinubu will have to play along as he has nowhere else to go. Only fools think that SS will allow their resources to be plunder. I see war coming and one that will cost Nigeria her existence |

teufelein: Tinubu demands 3 Oil blocks, Speaker, Finance, Petroleum, Justice and Aviation ministers from Buhari
https://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm23/ithinkbetter/363e6a8c5378274ec0a310530da17d5b.jpg
THERE are emerging indicators that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is at a critical stage of bargaining and tradeoffs towards the post-election sharing of “political profits.” A reliable source from the top hierarchy of the opposition APC revealed to this reporter that a National Leader of the party and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is purportedly negotiating with the APC Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, for allocation of oil wells in the Niger Delta as compensation for his support and huge financial commitment into the party from the stage of negotiations for merger and registration as a political party to the electioneering campaigns into the general elections.
The party source, who sought anonymity but disclosed that he is a close political associate of the APC Presidential candidate, alleged that the two national leaders of the leading opposition party have been involved in secret meetings on the issues of allocation of oil wells and sharing of political offices, expressing optimism that the opposition party will win the February 14 Presidential election. The party source emphasised that the former Lagos State Governor may have been using the enormous wealth at his disposal, his political influence in the Southwest, to force the negotiation on Buhari and compel him to seal a deal as pre-condition for his total support for the former Head of State in the presidential election coming up in three weeks' time.
The former governor was said to have allegedly demanded for about three oil wells license rights as compensation to him for the persistent support he has been giving to the party's presidential candidate and aiding him in scheming out other presidential contenders who were considered to be at advantage of having more funds and would have picked the APC ticket if he had not supported him at the National Convention and in mobilizing other party members for that cause.
The APC stalwart revealed that both national leaders of the party have resolved that if they win the presidential election, the APC-Federal Government will revoke all existing licenses of people allocated oil blocs in the Niger Delta, then, open bidding for new allocations. That is the process Tinubu was alleged to anticipate giving himself the advantage to acquire the license for oil wells allocation.
The party source observed that the party's candidate, whom he often referred to as his principal, considered the negotiation on oil wells allocation a difficult bargaining to concede to Tinubu but that Buhari has been under pressure to succumb in order not to lose the South West votes which he overwhelmingly relies on Tinubu to mobilize. The APC presidential candidate was, however, said not to have given his word on the oil wells allocation demand but solicited for little time to make consultations before they would reach final conclusion, though, Tinubu was alleged to be opposed to such consultations, and had purportedly told the former head of state to “either concede to his demand or forget the votes of the Southwest.”
It was alleged that the APC presidential candidate decision is expected to be made as soon as possible, before the February polls. There was an insinuation that Tinubu allegedly made similar request in 2011 when he was negotiating with President Goodluck Jonathan for the Southwest support in the presidential race. It was gathered that he was promised both money and oil wells but was first compensated with money and told to wait for the oil well allocation later. It was disclosed that he did not get the oil well allocation, thereafter, and has since then, not been happy with President Jonathan for that disappointment.
Other issues said to be placed on the table in the secret negotiations between the two APC leaders were indicated to include the sharing of political offices at the federal level. They were said to have both agreed on the Senate President being zoned to the North Central, reserving that position for Senator Bukola Saraki, former Governor of Kwara State. Tinubu was, however, alleged to have demanded that the Speaker of the House of Representatives be zoned to the South West, or in alternative the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, to augment the Vice President, who he considered does not have constitutional powers but may be playing nominal roles in government as may be delegated to him by the President.
The former governor was further alleged to have also put on the negotiation table to be given the power to influence certain ministerial appointments. He was purported to have shown interests in influencing the appointment of the Minister of Finance, Minister of Petroleum, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice as well as Minister of Aviation, which he was alleged to be further requesting to be given to his political camp. The former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode John Fayemi, was alleged to be considered for either the Finance or Aviation portfolio by the APC national leader in the South West. Tinubu, it was disclosed, assured Buhari that given these demands, he will do everything possible to ensure victory for him in the presidential election not only in the South West but also in several parts of the South-South and the South East.
The demands made in the secret negotiation was further said to have placed Buhari in dilemma because he has at all-time vowed to stamp out corruption from the system and, therefore, found himself at a crossroad of bribing a party member for support to win election. “The issues of insecurity, unemployment, economic slide, corruption and others will be tackled with all sincerity…,” Buhari had repeatedly declared in his campaign.
Buhari, it was disclosed, had been reminiscing on what former President Olusegun Obasanjo told him at Ota, Ogun State that, “a political party is like a microcosm of a nation, which would consist of near saints, devils, rapists, and armed robbers;” and how Obasanjo admonished him that he may use rapists or robbers for the purpose of electioneering campaign but that when the party wants to go into government after the elections, it must look for men and women of integrity.
The former President had further stated that people of integrity make things better for a government, the country and the citizenry. The APC presidential candidate's associate also told our reporter that his principal, as he called Buhari repeatedly, is having the big problem of discussing such personal demands with the entire leadership of the party, particularly, the northern caucus of the APC, who he said are expected to play different roles in the nomination or appointment of party members into various political offices after the elections. He added that in all, Buhari acknowledges the immense contributions of Tinubu, in terms of funding, making himself available at all times, committing his political structures in the South West to the APC set goals, mobilizing other party members for common cause and personal interventions to minimize conflicts in the party. So is now you guys woke up APC is all about oil wells and federal resources One thing we promise APC is that GEJ must win and they are free to burn down their regions like NE. |

If anything happens to gej (God forbid) nothing u and ur kinds will do. Nigeria will be ruled by an efficient and capable leader that will put u in ur place, not like ur mumu kinsman that has failed woefully in curbing insurgents.
As for Nigeria being a property of hausas and Yorubas. Who clamoured and protested for the clueless fisherman to be sworn in when Turai was busy playing ping pong with him? Wole Soyinka led d protest. Where were d asaris and tompolos?
If not that u are shallow and an ingrate....didn't the yorubas vote enmass for d otuoke baboon in d last election? indeed even some Hausa voted for him.
so in ur silly and myopic reasoning, because he is a Niger deltan is enough reason to make him continue ruling even when all indices points to the fact that he is incapable and just riding on d good luck that put him to power. Please kill him and see what will befall your region GEJ will win this election and if you protest, your region will be abandoned to hoodlums like the NE and the seaports shifted to the SS regions for international trade |

kiahong: EXCELLENT PIECE) IN RESPONSE TO ASARI DOKUBO'S CALL TO ARMS By: Abu Bilaal Abdulrazaq bn Bello bn Oare I do not like responding to Asari Dokubo's frequent unguarded rants and vituperations for the mere fact that silence is the best answer given to a fool. However, his recent call to arms in a meeting of some so-called ex-militants in Bayelsa is one that should be given a response, since the appropriate authorities (DSS, NPF, etc) have failed to respond. By the way, in Nigeria, under President Jonathan, an ex-militant is more honoured, revered, and dreaded than an ex-soldier. In the beginning, President Jonathan's supporters tried to play the religious card by branding General Muhammadu Buhari a bigot but it didn't sell. They tried to write him off in the eyes of Nigerians on account of his age... that failed too. Next was his educational qualification. They embarked on a fruitless effort to discredit the APC presidential candidate by alleging that the retired General of the Nigerian army who once headed the Supreme Military Council does not possess a Leaving School Certificate. They made so much hue and cry over Buhari's certificate issue that one would think they had forgotten the road to the court. That effort also failed. Alas, after exhausting all tactics and antics available to them to sway public opinion against Buhari, the supporters of Goodluck Jonathan, are now openly threatening violence should their man loose out in the February 14 presidential election, whether or not the entire electoral process is free, fair and credible. In other words, their own shallow understanding of democracy is that everyone "must" vote for Goodluck Jonathan, despite the fact that his failure in all ramifications of governance is unparalleled in the history of Nigeria. There are a few issues I like to underscore from this evil declaration. Firstly, where is Marilyn Ogar, the spokeswoman of the PDP... sorry, DSS? Only a few days after the Abuja peace accord, and some disgruntled individuals headed by an orangutan called Asari Dokubo are already threatening war should their candidate loose out in the election, and the security agencies in the country are not paying any attention to it. If the Abuja peace accord, which had the buy-in of the National Security Adviser and the Commander-In-Chief himself, was anything to go by, one would have expected that Asari Dokubo, Tompolo, Boyloaf, and the other empty vessels who are part of that infamous Yenagoa declaration should by now be in the custody of security agencies writing statements, at the least. Indeed, one would have expected the operatives of the DSS to swing into action with the same level of swiftness with which they invaded the APC data office in Lagos. Secondly, this early and unwarranted threat of war is a clear indication that Goodluck Jonathan and his supporters have conceded defeat even before the day of the election. Otherwise, if they were confident of victory, there would have been absolutely no need gathering in that coven where they issued that call to arms. My advice for them is that they should not forget they have consented to an amnesty deal. Therefore any resort to arms ever again would mean that they would be exterminated like flies by government security forces and heaven will not fall. It is a deal they willingly agreed to, and they just cannot eat their cake and have it. Thirdly and finally, I like to urge my fellow Nigerians who earnestly yearn for change not to be intimidated by these opportunistic ethnic jingoists, but to take them for who they truly are: empty vessels known for making the loudest noise. Goodluck Jonathan has been given a fair opportunity to serve at the highest level in this country, and he bungled it. He made a barrage of promises during his 2011 campaigns. And now in 2015, four years after, instead of giving us an account of his stewardship by telling us how much of his promises he has been able to fulfill so that we can on that basis assess his performance and decide whether to retain him for another four years or kick him out, he is busy going round the country making a fresh set of promises, most of which are clearly unrealistic (like creating two million jobs per annum for the next four years if re-elected, when he couldn't create that amount of jobs for the entire six years he has been at the head of government). God-willing, elections will hold as scheduled by INEC, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will be beaten black and blue in a fair contest, and the only redeeming path that will be left for him to take will be to congratulate the winner, General Muhammadu Buhari. If Asari and his co-miscreants try anything stupid, they will be effectively shackled and caged, even to the delight and relief of their own kinsmen whom they have been brutally lording over. Asari has been thrown into prison before by President Obasanjo. But for the magnanimity of President Yar’Adua of blessed memory, he probably would have expired there. I am as much a South- Southernern and a Niger-Deltan like him and his fellows. I hail from Edo State, and I was born and raised in Warri, Delta State. I make bold to say that change in Nigeria is not only possible, but inevitable! No amount of threat can stop us from achieving it, not even from Asari Dokubo multiplied by a thousand and all the Niger-Delta criminals benefitting from illicit contracts from the inept Jonathan-led government put together. I reiterate, come FeBUHARI 14th, Goodluck Jonathan will be defeated by the ballots, and not even the bullets will be able to save him. Abu Bilaal Abdulrazaq bn Bello bn Oare Kaduna, Nigeria sahaabah@aol.com saharareporters.com/2015/01/24/response-asari-d okubo’s-call-arms-abu-bilaal-abdulrazaq-bn- bello-bn-oare Don't go around throwing stones at GEJ and expect his kinsmen to keep quiet If anything happens to GEJ, even you won't be spared.
