OP if you think that the insults you are littering all over Nairaland on the SW, North and everyone else supporting Buhari will help Jonathan steal this election like that NNPC funds - then you must be dreaming. The best you can do now, is to help Jonathan in packing his load.

Nigerians are united on this - Jonathan must return back to Bayelsa. We can no longer support the stealing-is-not-corruption administration of Goodluck Jonathan. Enough is Enough.
GEJ is winning this election and any protest in SW will see SW being abandoned to hoodlums the way NE is abandoned to BH

The FG will just shift all international port activities to other parts of Nigeria grin
Politics › Re: The Southwest And Buhari, A Jealousy Alliance by BlackTechnology: 2:40pm On Jan 25, 2015
RevDesmondJuju:
All this anti corruption rhetoric coming from the north and southwest is highly hypocritical.

The north dominated leadership positions after the civil war with Yorubas occupying strategic bureaucratic roles. Corruption began its endemic rise under this duo.

For the southwest to shout corruption now is also highly hypocritical for the fact that their own region is dominated by crooks and thieves. Charity does not seem to be in their dictionary because if the northern leadership they so desire can not fix their own backyard or they can not stem corruption but celebrate it with people like Asiwaju enjoying patronage and respect how dare they speak of making Nigeria better?

From what I understand with this Buhari nonsense Yorubas who support Buhari do this for the following reason:

1. Fanatical Yoruba Muslims. There is such a thing if you don't know as fanatical Yoruba Muslims and it is growing by the day. Visit any tertiary institution and you will see them venting their by force religiousity for all to see. This group is swayed more by Jonathan's alliance with Israel. They are vast majority here on nairaland.

2. Yorubas want a piece of the action. By claiming opposition, Tinubu built his empire. Tinubu is now set to take on bigger challenges at the national level given that most of the SW states other than Lagos and Ondo have been milked dry. With this alliance Tinubu hopes to springboard to the national level where the pickings are juicier. Most of his followers will natural follow him.

3. Yorubas feeling like kingmakers. They feel irrelevant and dispensable in a Goodluck govt. Jonathan has matched any brain they have with that double their capacity from the southeast. It feels like 1960 again when they had to fight and compete with the more competent igbos. An Ab0ki alliance will naturally see a smooth sailing to the top. To make matters worse they have no bargaining power. The SouthSouth has oil and are ready to use it to negotiate, the north has a solid disciplined political bloc. These are things the southwest does not have other than AMALA styled confusion trouble rousing politics.

4. They are gambling for a Buhari death if he ever got elected. They some how think they were instrumental to Goodluck's emergence not knowing that the Niger Delta was set to restart their insurgency if the constitution is not adhered to. An Osinbanjo accidental presidency will never happen because the north will demand for bi elections . The other regions will support this especially the Igbos. This will see the north choose an Igbo vp leaving the southwest in the cold. If Osinbanjo opposes this he will simply be given the shonekan treatment and not a damn thing will happen.

Tinubu is not a genius but a very good student of history. Today, the APC relies on the media to circulate their diversionary propaganda of hatred. Focus on the central govt and not my stooges in govt house; that bad road is Jonathan's fault, that good federal road was built by us; Dieziani is a thief, fashola could have done more if they did not steal our $20 billion dollars, etc.
Unfortunately the resistance against their media attacks is weighing them down

Politics › Re: The Southwest And Buhari, A Jealousy Alliance by BlackTechnology: 10:47am On Jan 25, 2015
RevDesmondJuju:
Buhari's coup on an elected civilian govt was greeted with cheers and jubilaion on the streets in the southwest. Awolowo did not even mince a word not out of fear of being imprisoned but because out of hatred and jealousy in losing out to Shagari twice in a row. A coup over a Shagari govt, was viewed by Awo as an act against his enemy.
Wole Soyinka even welcomed the coup announcement by singing the same anti corruption song and even went further to justify the coup on the basis that the Shagari regime was hopelessly corrupt.

Funny thing is when the Buhari regime settled down their anti corruption crusade was waged in the south with many prominent southwest political holders and buerucrats jailed in Buhari's bias crusade.

Today, the southwest has the highest bloc of Buhari apologist in the south. They foolishly have been sold the corruption lie and Buhari sainthood and are bent on repeating history.
I said this weeks ago and thank God someone has echoed it

I doubt Shagari's government was so corrupt

I believe SW controlled media painted that government bad in order to destroy it

This is the same tactics they are applying against GEJ but unfortunately for them, the Igbos are helping the SS fight back on Media with so much ruthlessness that their initial madness has be halted and about to be routed cool

Not really....

Politics is performance based. What has GEJ done in the south west that they should come out to vote for him? Do you people even listen to yourselves?

What are his policies?

Look at the infrastructure.... Mention 3 Federal roads in the South west that is in good shape and I will name 10 that are horrible...

Electricity

Fuel price....

Trade...

Employment...

Security...

Religious intolerance...

Toutish allies

All these and threads like this where the people are insulted is what leads to the people turning their backs.

A friend and I took a tour of Abeokuta to Otta and Sango... The number of GEJ posters is amazing. It is almost as though he does not exist. Same thing in Ibadan.

Can you show reasons why they should vote GEJ?

Politics › Re: The Habit Of Advising Igbos by BlackTechnology: 6:06am On Jan 25, 2015
Ikengawo:
People always feel the need to advise Igbos on what to do politically. Meanwhile their father pays rent to an Igbo man in their father's own state and they're trying to get a job in an Igbo man's company. When I drive through Owerri, Asaba, and Enugu or see the level of wealth and industry in Onitcha, Nnewi, Aba, and PH I have a hard time understand why anyone feels it's Igbos that need advise.

This whole campaign has been igbos should do this and igbos should do that. Meanwhile the only region that hasn't had a bloody or violent election of rally in the past 6 years is the SE, and both candidates (both from other regions) are clamouring for no more important vote than the Igbo one.

Rest jor.
They are frightened about our support to the ND people to remove the oil feeding bottle from their mouths which will lead to economic starvation.

Hard truth

the igbo people are the only ethnic group that is benefiting the most from the so called one nigeria.

All over the country are dominated by the igbo even in the north. The business and trade field are igbo occupant.

While other ethnics groups are looking for none existing jobs from the government, but the igbos are busy dominating every regions with their trade.

For edo for example.

The cloths, electronic, cd, motor part, music industry and all other trades are all igbos dominate.

And I believe its also in every nook and cranny of the country.

In other word. In the east you hardly find other tribe doing business there.

Those who are Clamoring for bIafra should rethink of the igbo investment. They are the ones to lose.

resist every temptations of civil war. don't allow the ijaw draw you into civil war.

FolarinLondon:
Ijaw history ll be destroyed within few days and they would be forgotten for life. Is not the same Ijaws that couldn't confront Itsekiris? Forget it bro, their fates have been sealed. Let me give u a clue as to what ll befall the Ijaws, why do you think their reliable warrior decided to build his empire outside Nigeria -Benin to be precise? My brother, be smart and think about it...........

Igbo will only push d Ijaws into a civil war that would even land d Igbos in trouble at d end of d day; Igbos ll be dragged into d war even if they don't want to fight along with Ijaws. My friend, if there is a war today in Nigeria even without Igbos' knowledge, with all their recent utterances from Igbos either online and offline, the Hausas/Fulanis/Kanuris even Yorubas ll see it as Igbo war............ Go around bro and see what I m saying; people want them out of their region....

Forget about Igbo's superman ranting online, remember that Ojukwu said more than that before he was sent on compulsory exile. The feeling of past experience(last civil war defeat) won't repeat itself is their motivating factor at moment and this would only and definitely land them in a bigger mess and trouble(Just like Germany before 2nd world war) than they experienced in d 60s civil war

This time around, there won't be mercy from any quarter towards them. I have said it before and I ll repeat it again, Igbos should or ought to have read the hand writings on the wall around the country that any small casala will definitely backfire on them not even the Ijaws. And it ll be in their best interest to know that they would always be the losers in any war in Nigeria considering their numbers outside their region, businesses, properties and of course overall investment.

It's sad that it might take two civil war for Igbos to tour the path of Germany. Igbos have created so many enemies for themselves over the years, precisely after the civil war and these enemies would do anything to get all Igbos out of their regions-Yorubas,Ikwerres,Kanuris,Hausas,Fulanis.....

How I wish they are very smart like me so as to foresee what would befall them in eventuality of war in Nigeria. The only success that would be recorded in their favour would be the creation of Biafra Nation after millions of their brothers and sisters would have been slaughtered like chickens. And as soon as the war is over, Igbos ll never be allowed in any other regions anymore; most especially in south west and core North. Trust me on this and remember that Igbos need other regions to survive due to their nature......... But I presumed that Igbos would turn towards Akwa ibom and Calabar axis..........

However, Igbos can change the game in such a way that ................... But arrogance won't let them tour that path of honour if I.........

Finally, if you ask me, Igbos should be d one preaching peace in this country but if u say I m wrong, please bookmark my write up today for future reference in case u survive the war.....

Peace out
Good evening Mr. Educated illiterate

Sorry your history book never told you how Ojukwu lost the war because of his refusal to exchange oil for Soviet French and Chinese weapons
