Sony and HTC are not innovating enough and they still want to sell their phones expensive, of course they will run on loss. As for LG, they are trying to cut cost by using a year old processor on their flagship phones so they can sell for cheaper price than other flagships. So far I think it's working for then, but they need to do more. We are all waiting for what they will bring with the g7

yh..the g7thinkQ is launching nextweek..its coming with ai(google assistant)...like da bixby stuff on samsung...its comimg with the latest snapdragon 845 dem no wan cut cost again...fans blast dem last year like mad...g7 will have 4gb ram...some of the specs are out online...most of it sef...its good...the g7 will try and rival the s9 plus...in what aspect..it remains to be seen...

That mate rs is effed up...huawei are crazy 512gb..wtf?..is there even mem card of 512gb...chai?...thats some laptop hd space...small laptop sha...the way things are going there wont be phone with mem card slot again....

I don't want to comment on this thread. The op has some good points but some of his points are also not true like saying iPhones are easier to use. That's not true, u need many taps to get into some settings on a iPhone while on Android just 1-2 taps u are where u wanna be. There are some things iOS do better than Android that the op didn't even include, I will write an article about that. But for everything iOS does better, there are 2 more things Android does better.

Actually Huawei are doing well putting everything out there to be on top, it's a good thing for the consumers but I just feel their prices are kinda too high. The mate 10 Porsche edition is a limited edition version of the mate 10, nothing wrong with making limited edition phones as they are targetted at the elite who have money to spend. Samsung also made the likited Batman edition of the Galaxy S7 edge, only that those Porsche design of Huawei are way too expensive, but again, limited edition products are bound to be expensive.

Have u heard about Huawei mate RS Porsche design? That's the Porsche design version of the P20 pro, guess how much? Over $1,500. Again limited edition but at least they decided to add features that should have been in the p20 pro in the first place which is wireless charging and qhd display. (P20 pro has fhd display and no wireless charging). Also comes with massive 512gb internal storage.

It's also the first commercially available phone with in screen fingerprint scanner. Now this is what i call limited edition and not that mate 10 Porsche nonsense.

It's not about show off but trusted brand. Samsung did not overtake Nokia and blackberry by selling their flagship phones very expensive or on same price as iPhones. They took their time, released phones with great features at reduced price, relaased the revolutionary Galaxy note series and after capturing the market they started selling the Galaxy note for $1,000. If Gucci sells a bag for say $500, and another company comes from China, makes the exact same bag and sells it for same $500, do u think loyalties of Gucci will leave their trusted brand and go and buy another brand for same price? But if the price is put at say $300, it would give people a reason to want to try it out.

mr Greenhulk sense go fall on you...correct me if i am wrong but the samsung s series are always cheaper dan d iphone series...do you think samsung are crazy for doing it like dat...they could as well hike up d price because of d specs on it...the mate 10 porshe edition is 700k plus on juma....no s series don rich 400k so far...huaqei are chasing potential buyers with their price....u dont expect sombody to cough out 700k for a phone dat is not samsung or iphone in dis modern era as at now...


Huawei should do something abt d price...samsung and iphone didnt beat blackberry and nokia by hiking up their price...

To buttress what mr greenhulk said..mind u i am a huawei fan..but i believe their flagship phone are too expensive...see apple and samsung didnt start makin $1000 phones once..the price increased gradually..you have to win the customers heart and satisfaction befre winning their pocket...anybody that takes $1000 to buy either apple or samsung knows he is getting value for money....

Apple and samsung sets the standard..i believe huawei phones should be less expensive,,they need to focus on wining the customers heart befre they move on to the pockets...huawei phones are great but for a company tryying to beat apple and samsung u dont hike up d price instead you reduce it thereby creating a better alternative and a cheaper one...you start from simple to complex...

I think when customers can get premium satisfaction only then can you start gradually increasing the price...



But what do i know..lets wait and see how it goes...i still beleive huawei phones will still enter the us market...its only the us market that is left to break....
