Well I dont know if this matter has been resolved since the date of the post was August of 2010, but in my humble opinion, the past is the past, what matters is the present and the future, whatever needs to be known will be revealed in time and you being a friend to the groom (future groom) I understand your position and how you feel, but if he is truly in love it won't matter what is revealed, he will proceed, so if your compelled to reveal what you know do so, if not be quiet, what ever will be will be regardless.

U know men misbehave sometimes, but what's the rule of thumb? reward good behavior, ignore bad, give him the silent treatment, and when he asks whats wrong, let him have it, then after he's given whatever sorry excuse he wants to give, give him a taste of his own medicine, after which you remind him of that tire changing incident , it always works.

shapey my take on it is this, your subconcious mind reacted.  what i mean is no matter the words he chose to describe what was going on with his mother, you knew the weight of the situation.  And although you may not have knowingly harboured bad feelings towards your late mother in law, from the outcome of her last visit, from your words you did. The only thing you can do at this point is to be there for your hubby, actions always speak louder, he's angry, with the passing of his mom, not only at you, so be patient and BE PRESENT, include yourself, if he doesnt make arrangements for u to go, make your own, but go, provide comfort, time heals all wounds. What he needs from you is sympathy and empathy, be blessed

Divine intervention saved me also, in my case my mother's conscience wldnt let her go thru with it(just a cpl months old), she told me they inserted the blade, I started screaming, then she started crying and told them to stop, (all my grandma's idea, bad grandma) thank god for mi madre! within the year I was in the states. She saved me a lifetime of bullying and insecurities. Imagine intentionally disfiguring an otherwise perfect gift from the heavens.

being first means your a natural born leader, good stuff, but there are cons as well, like if your born to over-bearing parents, as I was, who were themselves first borns, OMG your made to feel like the fate of the world is on your shoulders. I mean the pressure was ridiculous, still is, infact it got so bad I left the country, but my fiance is a last born, so we balance each other out, he's more of the 'enjoy life while you have it type', so it works.
